I do Reiki, not in Hampshire by any chance are you Pecka?? I could save you some dosh Grin.

pecka33 · 15/04/2011 13:05

ahhh thanks harrassed nope im in the westmidlands unfortunatly.... Sorry about spelling, no spell check on my phone and my spellings not great!!!

Sparklywine · 15/04/2011 14:35

Pecka, the omega 3 capsules are in the same box as the Sanatogen folic acid, it's a gimmick pre-baby pack thingumy and the blurb says it's a good idea to take them for, quote, baby's brain and eye development. DH was blind as a bat before his laser eye surgery so sparklybean needs all the help he can get! That's all I'm taking Wombat, so not that impressive, and it's all orally.

Harassed, I've never known a cat with fragrant faeces to be honest, but if you're giving her things like your Sunday roast and, ahem, chorizo, you will pay!
Where is Yellow? x

Wormshuffler · 15/04/2011 14:56

yellow is still at the royal wedding security briefing til today I believe.

My pregnacare (not that I am taking it) has omega 3 pills in too, I have it here just in case I have a BFP [hopeful emocion] . I have just been taking the folic acid for 8 months or so now.....SWi starts tonight although no sign of any EWCM here though.

Please don't tell me my clicky sweetners have that aspartame stuff in them......welll do if they do, you know what I mean.
Glad you all like my kitchen, It was here when we moved in and was hand built 25 years ago by the carpenter that lived here. I vamped it up by painting all the horrid orange pine, changing the handles, replacing the worktop etc . It is my finest peice of DIY to date.

sparkly you are a cheeky bastard monkey you are ........ I am not a barbour and hunter welly sort of gal either! Today I have on.....Jeans from Next, top from H and M, beads from new look and black socks that say thursday on them....... In fact I am probably more of a netmums kind of dresser [bitchy emocion] Grin . Oh and I drive a Ford Focus!!!

harassed they sound like good symptoms again to me .......

wombat I'm feeling realy excited/nervous for you for the scan on Sunday god only knows how you must be feeling!!!

Sparklywine · 15/04/2011 14:59

Shit, is it Thursday? Grin

pecka33 · 15/04/2011 16:28

ok ok im wrong (pecka holds up hands in shame)

harassedinherpants · 15/04/2011 16:35

Grin at Thursday!

Doc said I don't seem to have much prob getting pregnant just staying that way! Very crampy tummy feels like af though. But who knows?! Our bodies are a bit of a puzzle.

Yellow prob has mi5 keeping tabs in us you know ...

Sparklywine · 15/04/2011 16:38

As I left my house this morning a car with blacked out windows and a foreign numberplate glided slowly down the road out of sight.......

yellowtomato · 15/04/2011 17:12

Hello people, I'm back!!! And don't worry, it all went well. You can sleep soundly in your beds. There was a communication blackout though so I couldn't keep up with you ladies. Nice to be missed though, made me feel all warm and fuzzy. And no I haven't been drinking yet but am planning to start shortly. Wine

sparkly you are a funny one! I know I'm a bit late for the voting but I'd have an early scan too. I guess personally I wouldn't want to get to 12 weeks and then find out it had gone wrong 6/7 weeks.....I found that the longer it went on the more attached I was to the pg so rather find out if there is a problem asap.

wombat fingers and toes crossed for the scan on Sunday, I'll probably be asleep at that time but I'll want to be able to see an update as soon as I wake up.

harassed sounds like you have good symptoms too and pecka it's annoying when pg symptoms and af ones are so similar.......

I'm still seeing the acupuncturist but have stopped the herbs as I didn't think it was a good idea to take them on my trip.......also have this kind of rash that the ap thought might be due to herbs so am waiting to see if it goes down and then might take the ones I have left for the next cycle which hopefully will be one when me and DP are in the same country at the crucial moment.

yellowtomato · 15/04/2011 19:52

Oh no where is everyone, was it something I said?

Wormshuffler · 15/04/2011 21:25

yellow the thread killer........

Wormshuffler · 15/04/2011 21:28

Nice to see you back yellow hope you had a nice time at the security briefing, could you give me the nod on if I am safe to go to London for the Royal wedding celebrations? I am currently stressing about both the terrorist threat and the anti-royal protests.

yellowtomato · 15/04/2011 23:31

Nod

wellieboots · 16/04/2011 04:45

hello ladies, just checking in, sorry it's been ages, been a bit busy this end and start a 3 month contract on Monday which is exciting and has been a long time coming!
Hope you all have a great weekend, any exciting plans?!
Glad yellow is back in communication following her secret conference
ochaye I am Scottish but moved to Sydney in early Feb, so not sure that counts, although I very definitely consider myself Scottish and always will!

Nothing to report here TTC wise - been on AF all this week, the boring bit!

waves to everyone and will be better in future!!

wombatinwaiting · 16/04/2011 07:15

yellooooooooow- you're back! We missed you! Could you also let me know how the situation in the Middle East is - I'm heading off to Beirut for a girly weekend next weekend so could do with some reassurance! Actually could do with more reassuarance for tomorrow's scan - 24 hours and counting.... not been feeling too bad about it though and oddly optimistic (although bit of mentalling this morning when my boobs appear to have shrunk overnight.... Hmm ) Will post on here as soon as I can.

v jealous of worm heading down for the royal wedding- anyone else got street parties or the like planned? I shall see if I can get a union jack to wave in front of sky news by myself [saddo royalist wombat emoticon] - in my defence, I think being away from the UK makes you appreciate the royals more..... However worm with you planning to head down for the celebrations, it does put you even more firmly in the barbour and range rover camp! Methinks the top shop / h&m claim is a dubious one Grin

Good to hear from you wellie and save up your stamina for the SWI session in a week or so's time Wink

emma - I think you're post SWI and on the 2WW now - any symptoms? And pecka and harassed - anything else to report?

Off to test-drive some nice new cars this morning - DH's transport allowance goes up with his promotion and it seems silly not to spend it Grin!

Waffles and pancakes for all!

OP posts:
wombatinwaiting · 16/04/2011 07:17

by the way sparkly - I note you said "all the help he [sparklybean] can get" - have you got ESP as to the sex?!

OP posts:
Sparklywine · 16/04/2011 12:01

Morning all (just). Have been up since early doors cleaning the house from top to bottom, it is beautifully sugar-puff free. All the cat stuff is now contained in the kitchen, feel like I have my house back. Hair everywhere though, on the keyboard, in the cheese......
Feel a bit naseous today, want to eat but not sure what.......waffles and pancakes eh, craving carbs? Grin Any maple syrup and bacon......mmmm...
Wombat, I'm old enough to Grin at 'girly trip to Beirut', it's like popping off to Afghanistan for a spa weekend.

I'm going to stick with 'he' for the duration, can't call the bean 'it' and don't see me with a girl for some reason. I see a boy with white blond hair, bad eyesight and a whole heap of attitude (think the milky bar kid with ADHD). I have booked my scan for 7th May (please add to tracker), 3 weeks today! Quite excited. How are you feeling about tomorrow?! I see Yellow has demanded an immediate update, but expect she'll know before you do thanks to her technology purchases at the Expo. By the way, Worm is going to freak out that you've mentioned Barbour jackets again, I hit a nerve yesterday. When she's back from bagging some grouse she's really going to go off it! Grin
Yoohoo Wellie and everyone else x

Wormshuffler · 16/04/2011 13:57

Ha you make me PMSL sparkly . Barbour is now very trendy with the Jack Wills brigade you know, my Dad tried his best (and failed) to get me to wear a barbour wax jacket all through my childhood, they will probably be in fashion next and then he can make his life long wish come true and get his grand-daughter one!! Your scan is on DH'd birthday so I definately won't forget that.
Do you find yourself imagining what we all look like? I have picture's in my head for all of you!!
My house is looking decidedly grubby at the moment, I will clean it when it rains, but at the moment I am spending all my time "pottering around the garden" . I dragged the kids to a garden show this morning and bribbed them with ice creams and a go on the bouncy castle to not winge at me. Dh is off on a stag do.
I bet today is really dragging for you wombat keep yourself busy......
As for the Royal wedding I am still undecided on if we are taking the kids, and I have started an AIBU thread to that effect!! Me and DH will definately go, but I have the following concerns re the kids going

  1. There will be lots of hanging around.
  2. Where will they be able to go to the loo?
  3. There are going to be anti-royal protests.
  4. It's the biggest terrorist target this century.
  5. If the tubes all get full there will be alot of walking
  6. We won't be able to spend the afternoon in the pubs.

But then on the flip side

  1. I think they would thank us in later life for having had the experience.
  2. It would be a nice family day out all together.
  3. It will keep us out of the pub all afternoon Grin

What do you think?

wombatinwaiting · 16/04/2011 14:02

You are toooooo funny sparkly - Grin Grin at a spa weekend in Afghanistan!

I can only see myself with a girl oddly which I think is nigh on impossible as DH has 3 sons from previous marriage.... I'm hoping that Kiwi sperm combined with wombat eggs will produce a bub of the pink variety, however I really will be over the moon with any variety that is happy and healthy. Love the image of the milky bar kid with ADHD! Still feeling weirdly optimistic about tomorrow and just hope I won't come crashing back down to earth - DH says he is feeling 50/50 - I think it's a self-defence mechanism for him.

I wondered what the helicopter was hovering above our villa was.... must be super new scanning technology that yellow picked up in Dublin Grin - hopefully she will be able to beam back pictures to us here on mn - or perhaps she's already done it Shock!

Loving the worm wind-up - I wonder if she's out fox hunting with the kids today....?

OP posts:
wombatinwaiting · 16/04/2011 14:08

Well worm - there are 6 things on the don't take them side and 3 on the take them side- I'm not statistical expert, but......

How old are your kids again? I can make a better judgement then..... you'd like to think that there would be plenty of toilets available - I guess it depends where you station yourself.... I think a lot would depend on the weather for me.

Today has been operation keepwombatbusy - did a v nice test drive this morning on a super luxury car that is just silly but soooo nice, then a bit of shopping, skyped with the parents for an hour, weekly menu planning, grocery shopping and now catching up with you lot.....

Now tell us worm - what do we all look like in your head?!

OP posts:
Wormshuffler · 16/04/2011 14:11

They are 11 and 9 wombat and I will tell you all what you look like when I have consumed 3 quaters of a bottle of wine later......

harassedinherpants · 16/04/2011 14:31

Hello!

No news here, only cd25, so although I'm sorely tempted to poas I'm not. I have one cheapie I'm saving for Monday as I'm seeing my kinesiologist lady in the afternoon. Kind of hoping I'm not as my best friend is down here next before moving to Belfast (army) and we're all going out to get bladdered for civilised drinkies on Friday.

Worm I would go! Once in a life time blah de blah. But I'm a Londoner and love the place Grin. Have fond memories of seeing the Queen at Greenwich in '77 . The chances of a terrorist attack are minimal imo, yellow will have sniffer dogs all the over place!

Wombat did you buy the silly but nice car?? I can imagine how scared you are, pants isn't it?! You don't want a girl, they are hard work! Plus my house has a fine film of glitter all over it. Constantly..... Never had that with my boys!

Sparkly you are obviously doing some early nesting, feel free to come and do some at mine Grin!

Looked at another house today.... minging was a good word to describe. Small is also good!!

wombatinwaiting · 16/04/2011 15:32

Well done for holding off poas harassed - will check in tomorrow to make sure you haven't caved early! Bugger re: the house - have you seen any that are vaguely up to scratch yet?

worm - I would vote yes if they are that age. Yes it can be v v busy but so long as your DCs have no claustrophobia issues then I think you'll be fine. Having said that, my mum tells me that we all went up to see the special fireworks pre-Charles and Diana wedding - day before? - and apparently I got v shaky with all the people around. I would have been 8/9 but I don't actually remember any of it - it sounds as if it was more traumatic for mum and dad having to deal with me!

We haven't bought the car yet, we're going to look at 2nd hand ones although the ones we've seen online are only about 4 grand cheaper than buying brand new..... we are going to wait and see how bean turns out before making any big decisions.... thanks for the tips on boys v girls harassed - bit late now I guess! Grin

Have just seen lovely house, but dh not keen! Arrgh! I'm sure he's holding out in case our landlord changes her mind. Men!!

Oh well still some more to look at next week. We've got ages in the grand scheme of things!t

Sparklywine · 16/04/2011 18:02

Probs won't be on again until tomorrow so wanted to wish you love and hugs for tomorrow Wombat, we are all thinking of you and hoping it is a lovely experience.
Yellow too, it's your due date today I think, be strong, have wine, it will happen for you x
