Waves madly to mana- wonderful news on hearing the HB. Are you feeling a bit more settled now or still mentalling now and again? Lovely to hear from you.

Oh wellie - more frustration for you.... glad to hear you have some good listening docs down there - FX you get a good one. Yep the milestones are buggers aren't they?

Toasted hot cross buns with lashings of butter this morning - yum!

Great to hear from you Manamamma and nurse I am really pleased to see everything going so well, absolutely excellent :)

I am in a right old mardy mood, as we say around here. My periods have been 28 days for the effing last 23 years!!!! so why now that I am TTC again have they gone to pot!! ???? 31 and 32 days wtf is that all about !!!!!
I feel like I have put my life on hold, I've have virtually stopped my running and put on loads of weight, well not this month, no sir-ee!!! I am gona put Zola Budd to shame!!
I am beginning to think it is all a sign and that I should give up and wait for my Grand-kids!!!
Rant over, I'm alright really, got nothing to moan about, just ignore me...............

Sparklywine · 08/04/2011 08:47

I love how you all think my magpie sighting is a positive sign! Daft buggers.
Can I have a teacake please Wombat, I don't like the candied peel in a hot cross bun.

I am over here sulking on the Chesterfield. No af, and have ewcm today so am slightly confused. I feel quite emotional and think af is now going to be late, throwing my cycle into chaos, much like you Wormy. It's a shit business, I really am in a bad mood.
Wombat, where's that effing teacake! Grin

Sparklywine · 08/04/2011 08:51

Zola Budd Worm, you are reeeally old Grin
I'm sorry you're in a mard too, want to come and sit on the chesterfield with me and throw breadbuns at Wombat and her piss-poor waitress service? Grin
I notice she seems to have binned off Luciano too.....

harassedinherpants · 08/04/2011 09:20

Mmmmm I smelt the buns.......obviously still comfort eating lol!!

In my quest to not mc, I've stopped eating aspartame and switched to small amounts of full dairy (not milk though, yuck!) and it's really noticeable that I'm not as hungry after eating it. Crazy, hey?!

Worm so sorry af got you... biatch! I'm going back to couch2 to 5k thing on monday, you've inspired me.

Wellie must be frustrating, hope something happens soon. I don't think there's any "only" about one mc, they all hurt like buggery.

Sparkly how are the kittys doing?? Mine was banned to the kitchen/dining room part of the house last night and we all slept like logs! Bliss. She's a little so and so and if we ignore her in the night she yowls outside dd's bedroom......

Anyway docs was kind of a waste of time. Bloods were all fine which is good, but then would be nice to have a reason. Doc has been my gp for 20ish years and she was just lovely, and says as soon as I get a bfp go in and she'll refer me straight away for a scan as I'm mc'ing early. 1st time baby had stopped growing at 7 weeks, and last time was 5+1. So we'll get a very early look at least.

wombatinwaiting · 08/04/2011 09:52

Coming sparkly coming! Good lord you are sooooo demanding about your candied peel and instant service. Luciano is still with us, just taking a well deserved break from the stroppy customers frantic service.... Grin - seriously, sorry you and worm are feeling down - these odd cycles are an absolute bugger. Some women get EWCM at odd times of the month - I can vouch for that. Would you want to see someone about your changed cycles worm? And sorry to be a bit personal sparkly but was it def EWCM rather than creamy? If the latter, tis a possible good sign in line with the magpie spotting.....

Good going on the running determination worm - I always found following one piece of Lance Armstrong's advice was good - get your sports gear on as soon as you get home / at the appointed running hour as once you've got it on, you really do feel like you have to go and a complete wally if you then take it off again.....

Did you ask your GP for the extra tests harassed? Like you say good that the results were clear but frustrating too that there's no definite reason. Sounds like she is lovely and definitely has your best interests at heart.

OP posts:
wombatinwaiting · 08/04/2011 09:55

By the way harassed - what the heck is aspartame?!

OP posts:
harassedinherpants · 08/04/2011 10:06

How are you feeling Wombat??

Aspartame is that nasty artificial sweetener found in Diet Coke and every other "diet" food stuff. Google it with infertility and miscarriage...... nasty, nasty stuff. There's a big long MN thread somewhere, will find it.

harassedinherpants · 08/04/2011 10:12

Hmm there are loads of them if you do an advanced search.......

Still have the odd glass of diet coke, but it is very odd now.

wombatinwaiting · 08/04/2011 10:42

Ah.... that's right - I knew I'd heard of it. Right, only had the odd diet coke now and again but I'll be steering well clear now. Thanks for the heads up!

Not too bad thanks harassed - odd bout of mentalling naturally. 7+1 today. Having occasional nausea which only seems to go away when I eat something hence I feel as if I'm eating for England right now and also can't do any exercise cos of dodgy hamstring / back. Í'm seeing my physio who is v good but I am getting frustrated....

Other than that and demanding cafe customers, feeling pretty good and still quite positive.

I spent for first 14 weeks with dd eating tiny bits of white food all day, was the only way to stop myself throwing up. Was horrendous! Flaming girls...... Do what you have to, I actually lost weight when prg due to craving fruit.

Ooooh foodfight Grin!

Sparklywine · 08/04/2011 13:23

I lost weight over my 13 weeks due to no alcohol, were it not for my prodigious intake I would look like Kate Moss.
No sign of af....

harassedinherpants · 08/04/2011 13:49

I lived on white bread ham sarnies (no crusts!) and quiche for weeks......

Fingers x'd for you Sparkly! It's the magpies that have me convinced, honest.

Sparklywine · 08/04/2011 13:57

In the taxi (I have no chauffeur) on the way to our scan, we saw four magpies and I said to dh, oooh, looks like it's a boy then! Magpies always make me a bit sad now.
Time to turn that piece of bad luck around.

Quiche is odd, it tastes like it should be hot, but people serve it cold.

wombatinwaiting · 08/04/2011 14:03

And here's a lump of quiche right back at ya sparkly Grin

Are you also one of those people that shivers at things like duck a l'orange and brie and cranberry? I have 2 friends like that but I can't get enough of the sweet and savoury combo..... odd re: your AF though....

I have had the laziest afternoon - was supposed to go sailing with DH but it is waaaaay too hot - a very unseasonable 38 degrees today! So watched My Sisters Keeper and blubbed buckets followed by Come Dine With Me x 3 episodes - Bernard from Preston - what a shocker!

OP posts:
pecka33 · 08/04/2011 15:40

ooohhh wombat i love that episode, thats how i currently spend most of my sunday afternoons, watching come dine with me back to back!!! Sad i know....
Sparkly, i also have a thing about magpies, feel like a compleate tout salooting like an idiot in the car or walking down the street!!! Lol
fingers crossed its good luck this time. X
harrassed the white food diet sounds horrible!!! You poor bugga!!
Cold quishe, isnt to bad though, i do ageee sparkly it does feel like it needs to be warmed up!!!

What another beautiful day ay ladies, well not as good as yours wombat 38, wow, scorchio!!

Sparklywine · 08/04/2011 18:48

Well, I couldn't resist and did a test, and I think there may be a faint line, but I have lost the instructions! I shall do a proper digital test in the morning, fingers crossed ladies!

harassedinherpants · 08/04/2011 19:26

am sooo pleased and everything crossed for a proper test. You better be on here early mrs!!

yellowtomato · 08/04/2011 19:45

Hello people

Hurrah, have finished work and am at home with Wine my favourite part of the week.

Oooohhhh sparkly that does seem very exciting.......what time are you up tomorrow......? I have fingers, toes and legs crossed. But that can't last long as i have to have my feeble attempt at SWI this month before I have to leave the country..

It's been soooo lovely and sunny here today and I spent less than 5 mins outside.....boo hiss.......but hoping to be out all day tomorrow. This week has gone by soooo fast with all that working business, haven't had time to do any washing or other domestic tasks. And can't be bothered now.......will have to at some point or will have to buy new clothes.......

I think quiche should be illegal, it's so revolting....makes me feel a bit ikky even thinking about it. My Mum used to regularly force me to eat it for lunch on a Saturday....urgghhh.....

And Wombat I don't mind the sweet and sour stuff but nothing with orange please, that is just wrong. Raw orange in a salad with duck is fine but not cooked......also see pineapple.

sparkly i also would be kate moss or thinner if I cut out booze......but I just love it sooooooooo much....would prefer not to eat than not to drink.....hmmm that doesn't sound too good written down like that!

I can't believe diet coke is bad harassed without that and peas the world would be a darker place for me. I can't give them up, it's wrong!

And hot cross buns are my favourite, I like them with butter or slightly toasted with butter. Yummy yum yum.

Sorry about your dodgy cycle worm I think you should def get back into the running, if it makes you happy then I'm sure it's good for you.

I can't watch CDWM, I tried one or two episodes and the people were so horrid to each other, same as three in a bed or whatever it's called.

right, gonna top up my glass, must be the hot weather making it evaporate!

pecka33 · 08/04/2011 20:12

ooohhh sparkly how exciting, ive got everything crossed for you, well maybe not my legs may get abit of action 2nyt!!!
Yellow you make me laugh, love your evaporation comment! Im hoping my lovely comes back with a big bottle of red via the curry house 2nyt.

Hope everyones having a fab nyt, ooohhh im in such a good mood, must be the weather!! X

wombatinwaiting · 09/04/2011 06:24

ooh, ooh, ooh sparkly!! Get back on here quick fast to let us know how the test went this morning. I promise not to throw any food at you one way or the other Grin

Wine evaporation - love it yellow! Well done for getting through your first week and fingers crossed for you all that you the lovely weather continues throughout the weekend. I honestly am jealous - it looks so lovely outside here but it's just sooooo hot - not normally this bad in April.... went to a murder mystery night last night called "stethoscopes and stockings" which was v good but I just couldn't understand why we sat inside in the freezing air con when they had a lovely patio area with complete dining furniture when the weather is soooooo gorgeous at night - a lot of people seem to do that and it's just wrong cos in about 6 weeks time it will be too hot to sit outside at night - grrr.... sorry, that was a bit of an unnecessary rant Blush.

Hope you enjoyed your curry pecka

Right, supermarket shopping calls so waves to all and hanging out for news from sparkly....

OP posts:
Wormshuffler · 09/04/2011 07:06

Morning girls
Ohhhhhhh I see sparkly has a faint line Grin fingers, toes, arms, legs and pubes all crossed for you, and I have a bucket of soft tomato's at the ready Grin
pecka we had a curry too it was lush, just what we needed after a back breaking afternoon in the veg patch.
yellow put your feet up this weekend and let DH do the domestic goddess role! Glad to see it all appears to be going well for you.
harrased I too had worse MS with my daughter all I could keep down were crisps and pot noodle [vomit] I literally couldn't smell cooked food at all, it used to make walking through town very interesting. I lost a stone in that PG so that was a bonus!!
I am taking said DD out for a girly shopping day today, we need outfits for a wedding and I love an excuse to spend the day with her, She is at the age now where her bedroom door is shut and bursting with hormones inside!!
I shall be lurking for news of a sparkly line............

Wormshuffler · 09/04/2011 07:10

wombat sorry I forgot, I like that peice of advise re the running gear! so simple but yes I can see how that would work for me!! Murder mystery is something I have always wanted to do but DH is really shy of that sort of thing. Hope it has cooled down for you.

wombatinwaiting · 09/04/2011 09:51

You're a proper villager aren't you worm with your parish council bashing and vege patch Grin - are you actually Felicity Kendall in disguise?! Actually quite Envy - really miss that sort of thing from the UK.....

Glad the piece of advice worked - also remember that the will power required to put the gear on only needs to last a couple of seconds. In fact will power is only about short bursts - as soon as we start thinking about will power being a constant thing, it seems too much.....

Enjoy your shopping!

Still lurking for sparkly.....
