Yes, YABU Worm! Grin
I think I might have pmt, perhaps a good job as I have spent the monthly income on gubbins....
I'll try and rustle something up for breakfast although Worm is usually up first; if I hear strange mutterings of pleasure coming from the pantry over the weekend though it will be my turn for an Shock Grin
Have fun Wombat, I remember you cancelling many moons ago, you really deserve this break. By the way, my square cat litter tray is a covered over one (great) but the size of a monolith, and the entrance faces the back door so if we come in that way we are oft faced with sticky up poo, in the manner of a flake protruding from a 99. This way, the entrance almost faces another wall, and it is much more compact. Genius. I think enough has been said about my purchases though, someone else come on and talk about their over-priced crap! Grin
xxx Wormy

Wormshuffler · 30/03/2011 20:01

I will never look at a 99 ice cream the same again...........

wombatinwaiting · 31/03/2011 04:27

Morning ladies - plain, sesame, multi-grain and onion bagels this morning with options of melted swiss cheese and ham, just butter, jam, nutella, marmite or vegemite (just for wellie) - tuck in!

Grin worm on the 99 ice cream thing! Sparkly - you have given me a good enough reason for the corner cat litter - purchase away! While looking around for my over-priced crap, my eye has alighted on the tissue box cover, designed to look like a sofa, complete with cushions. A mad purchase at Phuket airport - I thought it looked quirky there, now I only see it as horribly naff so why can't I bring myself to bin it?! What's everyone else bought on hols that was so right at the time but just not the same back home.....? Winner gets a lie-in and waited on hand and foot by Luciano all weekend.

Wishing our friend yellow all the very best today for her first day back at big school. HEre's hoping all your colleagues are lovely and they don't have a blocking filter for mumsnet! Thinking of you today x

You still with us pecka or exhausted with the kiddy sitting?

emma, nurse, mana, wellie, harassed - hope you're all doing ok.

Right then, off to learn all about our motives and talents and how they impact what we do and how we behave.... followed by super-luxury relaxing break - see ya ladies! x

wellieboots · 31/03/2011 06:09

posted a big update a couple of hours ago but lost it grrrr

Hope everyone is doing OK, it has been a wee bit quiet around here lately

wombat enjoy your course, so sorry to hear about your SIL :(, enjoy the luxury desert resort Grin

yellow enjoy your first day at MI5 (or is it 6, you did say it included travel....., sorry to tease :)

waves to sparkly's cats, worm and anyone else who's not been around lately

I'm doing OK, rate of job hunting is slowing down a bit which is a bit frustrating but my short term contract job should start in the next couple of weeks which will not make the "proper" job hunting drag quite so much hopefully.

DH thinks I am pg Shock but I really don't think so - if I am then I have less symptoms than I did last month, when I was very confused but AF finally turned up after 33 days - who knows maybe that is my new CL after MC, as I'm only on cycle 2 (VERY long WTF) - even thinking about it makes me terrified, does that sound stupid?! Even if I'm not this month it is an interesting response!

CD28 so it won't be very long and we'll see....

yellowtomato · 31/03/2011 08:31

Morning ladies

I'm gonna have a big breakfast this morning, don't want any tummy rumblings during morning briefings later!

wombat how exciting that you are finally going for your luxury break..am sooo jealous, look forward to hearing all about it. Really sorry to hear about your sil....my first mc was natural and brutal does just about sum it up. I wasn't prepared by nurses/doctors either who had told me it'd be like period Hmm luckily I had researched on MN and some people had put their honest experiences otherwise I think i would have thought I was dying. Sounds like you are doing a lovely job in supporting her, it is the hardest thing but talking to people who understand was for me the only thing that helped at all.

sparkly wow......that is a lot of stuff. How lucky are those kittens to be going to such a well equipped home. I'm allergic to cats so don't have much to add but avoiding a '99 style poo does seem a good idea. My dd would have been 16 April so we were v close together. Was def hoping to be pg before then......oh well....maybe this month

worm very good deed re the cat, I don't think i could have done that. We are cycle buddies, I'll due Sun/Mon too. I don't usually get any af or pg symptoms so every month I'm in the dark. The only indicator is when my temp drops the day before....but I don't tend to temp at the weekend due to sleeping late so that won't help. I have been feeling v hungry but I thought that was just me being greedy!

pecka good luck with your SWI......

wellie job hunting is a right drag......hopefully you'll get there soon.

harassed thinking of you.

Right must go, my chauffeur is here...... Grin

Sparklywine · 31/03/2011 15:18

A chauffeur Yellow?! YABU Shock
Grin
No news, just wanted to mock Yellow for killing the thread, flaunting her swanky status. I reckon it's a BBC chauffeur and she is indeed the next Judith Chalmers (whom I have just googled only to find she never wore knickers, am now scarred). The car arrives at 8.31am, by which time I am at my desk mumsnetting beavering away, so it's a position of high responsibility, opportunity to travel, immense salary, and enviably slack working hours! Grin

Sparklywine · 31/03/2011 16:05

Anyone read that 'new mum' thread? I've just been through it gathering some great tips, now I need a baby to try them out on! Grin
Motherhood sounds lovely

Wormshuffler · 31/03/2011 16:33

yellowtomato doesn't wear knickers??? Shock well really, what is the world coming to ......

Hope you had a great day yellow
So that is me yellow and Wellie all due around this weekend surely at least one of us will get a BFP??[hopeful emocion]

Hope you are having an amazing time wombat

Hello to everyone else and the peeping toms Wink Grin

harassedinherpants · 31/03/2011 16:40

Sorry have been awol - busy and miserable! Got a bfn this morning so back to ttc I think...... Epu advised me to think of this as a late & heavy period......cheers for that!!

Sparkly am loving all your cat shopping!! I have plenty of new mum tips having had 3 already first being have lots of wine in the fridge Grin. Judith Chalmers never wore knickers??? Shock Urrghhh!!

Yellow chauffeur is very flash!! I still reckon you are loaded..... hope you remembered your knickers lol.

Wombat so sorry to hear about your sil. I can't believe the way some woman are treated when they're mc'ing, it's outrageous. Enjoy your break, it sounds fabulous!!

Worm well done for picking up the cat. Ours got run over at NY and it would have been awful if she'd just gone missing!

Wellie I'm also job hunting......it's dire! Good luck.

Good luck Pecka!! Don't let family stop you lol...

Off to dd's parents evening tonight. She's 4.5 and at my parents after school today so I phoned to say hello and she was chatting away telling me about her day, so I said I was seeing her teachers later and she just said "bye!" and hung up!!! Slightly dubious about parents evening now.... Grin.

yellowtomato · 31/03/2011 19:36

Tee her chauffeur was a joke, I get the tube like everyone else! Whew what a hectic first day.

Hope parents evening went well harassed

Right am going to get stuck into the Wine

emmaandthestar · 31/03/2011 21:13

Hey Sparkly the cats sound fab and no matter how much you think you will have lovely 'on-trend' tasteful baby things when the time comes you will have more plastic tat than you can shake a stick at (wonders why we shake sticks at things, anyhoo).

So - I couldn't face posting as try as you may warn me I just couldn't step away from the sticks in the pretty pink/blue wrappers - I had a BFN yesterday followed by AF today :(
DH is more upset than me, I think I am just amazed that my cycle is really regular and thinking that now I can have a drink on my hols, relax and hopefull make for a romantic atmosphere for yet more SWI... (more romantic than yelling at DH to get home on time, eat up, stop watching TV and get into bed!)
I think I was similar to Sparkly we started off all enthusiastic with the SWI and then by day 13 just wanted to sleep, picked up again on day 17 and missed the crucial moments

Sparklywine · 01/04/2011 08:51

Morning all! With Wombat away I thought I would cook up some halloumi and bacon ciabattas, I can miss out the bacon for any vegetarians. No sign of Luciano, I expect he will be back when Wombat returns.

Emma, sorry about AF, it's so disheartening. You are, like, so wrong about the plastic tat, I'm going to get one of those wooden ladybird scootery things, and perhaps a train set and that's it, and a tangerine at Christmas. Grin Actually you are probably right poppet, I've been carried away enough with the cats, my shopping nurturing instinct has really kicked in!
Yellow, don't try backpedalling in your Kurt Geiger wedges, we know you have a chauffeur!

harassedinherpants · 01/04/2011 09:12

Morning!! Thank you for the ciabattas.....mmmm bacon!!

I am exhausted!! After looking half dead on Tuesday the flaming kitten is obviously feeling better and has had me up half the night wiggling, trying to get under the duvet and then 5 mins later back out, she woke dd up and has winged to be fed since 4am........ thank god for makeup as I look everyone of my years this morning Hmm.

Emma sorry af got you, it's really crap! My boys had a wooden train set .....and heaps of plastic tat lol. Dd is too pink and sparkly for anything remotely tasteful in the toy department, she'd sulk for a week!

Sparkly when do your little newbies arrive?? Do they have names already?? Ours is Daisy because she's black and white and looks like a cow, well sort of.

Sparklywine · 01/04/2011 09:30

Ahh, a fellow cat lover! Well, Harassed the newbies arrive on Sunday (also Mothers Day, but this is a coincidence, I am not that demented Grin)

They are going to be called, subject to personalities, Bigsby for the little boy and Hecate for the girl They're both jet black with large glassy yellow eyes, and Hecate has little bits of white like someone has gently touched her with a paintbrush.

My other two are called Moochie (boy) and Manjula (girl). I'm going to have to get some photies of them all and work out how to get them on my profile. I may also add a photo of me in my "Never use Peas for protection" t-shirt Grin
I'd quite like a cow-cat though.....

harassedinherpants · 01/04/2011 09:46

I am Envy at your t-shirt!!!

Fab names, particularly Hecate. You will out yourself as an MN'er to others in the know though lol. You will then be judged for buying plastic tat Grin!

I will try and get a pic of our cow-cat on my profile later, if dh hasn't murdered her first. He's having a day off as done his back in (not my fault!) and she will winge for food constantly today, guaranteed.

Our other cat we let dd name, and as she was 2.5 at the time prob not the best idea but she called her Kitty. Loads of people asked when we were going to give her a "proper" name!

Wormshuffler · 01/04/2011 16:09

Hello Lydies (in the stle of Kevin the teenager) Grin

*sparkly you really are funny you know..... "Yellow, don't try backpedalling in your Kurt Geiger wedges" is your best quip yet! You should right a book! and yes I think you will also be outed too calling kitty Hecate. Ours was called Vadar as he is jet black like Darth. However he now answers to pesky Grin

Glad you sound a lot brighter harassed

Sorry the red witch got you emma if you havn't already drank the Wine have some more. I really should try this hotel chocolate stuff, purely for research purposes you understand!!

I will kick myself for saying this when AF arrives, but........I felt a teeny weeny bit sick this morning.........

Wormshuffler · 01/04/2011 16:15

Style ......... damn this site not having an edit facility.....

Sparklywine · 01/04/2011 17:07

I've uploaded the current cats! Click on me click on me!

Oooh I am going to have some fun now....
Anyone wanna see my purple velvet chesterfield? Grin

emmaandthestar · 01/04/2011 19:37

Ohhh they are lovely Sparkly I am very Envy DH is very allergic to cats and won't let me have one... and plastic tat goes best with purple chesterfields!

Wormshuffler · 01/04/2011 20:14

Nice pussy sparkly Wink

Wormshuffler · 02/04/2011 07:48

Good morning Girls
Hope I find you well on this glorious Saturday morning!! I was on the wine last night so with wombat away I am making an executive decision and cracking out the frying pan!!!
Well the knicker checking has began here although I feel about as un-pregnant as possible.
How is the new job going fellow cycle buddy yellow??
Hi to all, hope you have a fun weekend :)

Sparklywine · 02/04/2011 09:13

Ooh, Worm, I feel a bit groggy. Can I have a sausage and mushroom barm please! I'll be over on the chesterfield looking a bit bleary. Had a bottle glass of wine last night and haven't quite come round. Got the parents staying this weekend so I'll not be on much, but wanted to wish you all a lovely weekend!
Worm, if anyone was going to do a pussy gag it would be you! Grin
Or Pecka actually.....Grin

yellowtomato · 02/04/2011 09:45

Morning all

Good call on the frying pan worm I'll have a bacon sarnie please.

First 2 days at work were v busy but great fun. Do you have any sickness feelings this morning. I am fully expecting af but have no symptoms either way.
Really shouldn't have drunk so much last night, am really feeling it today.

wellieboots · 02/04/2011 13:36

If the frying pan's still out, I'll have some bacon and eggs please Luciano (or did wombat take him to the fancy desert resort with her?!)
Just had a couple of glasses of Wine tonight at the ILs and MY HEAD HURTS!! I must be turning into a lightweight or something

CD30 and no sign of AF yet but I got caught out last month with a 33 day cycle so I am not testing until AF hasn't turned up by then. I will be amazed if I get a BFP this month but DH is getting very excited bless him - the thing is, I'm terrified of both a BFP and a BFN, if that makes any sense, and he doesn't really get that.

hope everyone's having a great weekend, looks like there are a fair number of us knicker checking this weekend!

Glad new job ok yellow

waves to all!

yellowtomato · 02/04/2011 16:37

Well I'm out, af just arrived. Feel ok as this month wouldn't have been ideal with new job and all. Fingers crossed for the rest of you knicker checkers.
