Morning all!
Hoping for a less exciting day today after my drive-by shooting yesterday... and have a shedload of work to do, so have vowed not to come and talk to you again after this until I've made some significant progress.

Pink - super good luck for your scan today. I did laugh at the crazed mum thing when it got to her description and said she was "well-built". No shit!

Teacake - thinking about you also, and keeping fingers crossed for you.

Orange - hope your scan goes well too, and am trusting that your subconscious is just being very naughty indeed.

Owl - 3 lbs only with daily cake?? Very [envy}

nix - glad you survived your cat encounter..

wombat - thanks for the muffins! Hope Brian isn't too much of a nuisance today.

digi - hope you are having a lovely snuggly duvet/sofa day with DS

knitter - still salivating at the crumpets/croissants!

Ladybee - glad things went smoothly for you and you were well looked after. I do so hope you get your wish to see pregnancy before the year end, and hopefully even before then.

FX for orange and tunnocks who are scanning today...

PinkFondantFancy · 04/03/2011 10:27

Hello nice ladies!

Thanks for all the good luck messages-scan went well! I'm completely overwhelmed at how much the little bean has changed in a week-last week it just had little stubs for arms and legs, this week it was swimming around and then chilled out with its legs crossed Grin I still find it staggering that a little miracle is happening while I'm completely oblivious apart from feeling a bit pukey....

nix your cat has serious attitude! Scary!

mamap you are very inspiring-I'm going to practice being more like you from now on! :)

aandr hehe I did look at that thread, it was hilarious!! Sadly I've done most of those things!!!

emoo hope the counselling goes well this afternoon!

orange best of luck for this afternoon lovely. I hope cheeky little orange-fink behaves itself!

knitter were the pants not enough motivation for your DS to get dressed this morning? I am Envy of dinosaur pants-I want some!! I hope you chunk through your work ok today.

Talking of work, I should probably think about doing some myself....

PinkFondantFancy · 04/03/2011 10:30

Also special individual shout-out to tunnocks -I really really hope it's good news. I'll be thinking of you xx

KnitterNotTwitter · 04/03/2011 10:37

Whoops - sorry not to wish you luck Pink list says your next scan is 4/4... is that right or was it 4/3 only? Glad bean is a lovely little waterbaby... so cute!

PinkFondantFancy · 04/03/2011 10:59

Hehe don't worry knitter, it was incompetent fat fingeredness on my part!

owlbooty · 04/03/2011 11:05

Owlet misbehaved as usual and kept dodging the MW's listening thingy. I expect nothing less of him. Am hoping that by hearing him now I will be less anxious about the scan in 10 days' time. Grin

Pink Hoorah! It is indeed staggering how much they grow in just a week. Glad it went well :)

mamapower · 04/03/2011 11:28

pink great news - whoooop Grin

teackake we'll be virtually holding your hand [smile

Orange I knew there was another scanner today aside from pink and tea but Brian wouldn't help me in remembering who, good luck lovely Smile I've had a couple of anxiety dreams, not nice, hopefully they'll sod off after your scan today. I think I might be heading towards topping your 8llb weight gain by 12 weeks Blush

nickstermum · 04/03/2011 13:19

wrote a big loooong post that got eaten..

pink yey on the stubby arms and legs - fab news Grin i think you should come and stay with me for the weekend.. dressing a toddler who has a strong mind and doesnt want to be doing it...wants to be naked is a serious thing...!! ooohhhh the things to come Grin Grin

Good luck teacake

owl brill on the doppler :) ive been quite restrained... but no doubt will go next week. felt quite a bit of rippling going on last night under the skin... freaky! Grin Like there are giant worms inside the tummy :) 3lbs? well feck a duck! good nora, i think i put that on the day i found out about the BFP! Even my legs are fatter...WTF? I have to say though, may be curvier than normal, but....feeling pg shaped :) heavy boobs and the gentle swelling of a baby bump (even though its probably wind/bloating/poo!) makes me look very pg Grin I am however a very funny shape anyway Confused

Orange and mamap those dreams will probably continue to haunt you until you deliver. I am still experiencing them.. not so much now as i think i am starting to relax a little... just a little!... but they still come and go Hmm vivid dreams is a symptom.. MC dreams is your subconscious. They can be Veryyyy real though huh? many a morn i have scrambed out of bed to knicker check :(

Gosh will you just look at that list... we've got 4 into the supposed safe zone...not long now before we will all be there, and getting ready to deliver :)

Oh Tunnocks, I'm so, so pleased for you! That's fab news. And re the dates, I'm sure I've heard the very wise people on here say that things can measure up to two weeks either way at the start, so don't be disheartened.

Emoo · 04/03/2011 14:09

Teacake - I'm so so pleased for you! What amazing news! Grin Has your bleeding all settled down now as well?

Pink - congrats for you too!

Orange - hope yours is going well.

I thought it was about time I listed myself... Smile

Great news tunnocks I'm really really pleased for you Grin

MummyAbroad · 04/03/2011 14:42

Teacake oh phew phew phew! So pleased for you Grin Grin Grin If you start getting worried about those dates, keep reading the bit where Dach found out here twin pups are developing at different rates - thats absolute proof that a few days "inaccuracy" is not something to worry about at all xxx

Pink Horray!! Have a lovely image of your bean with its legs crossed and arms folded behind its head just chilling out in thereGrin

mamapower · 04/03/2011 14:43

Awwwwww teacake I just shed a little tear of happiness for you, that's made my bloody busy day worth getting out of bed for after all Grin Grin
About dates mine is 9 days later than my LMP so don't let that worry you at all Smile

Have a great weekend all, I shall be trying to enjoy but fear more business planning... seems such a long way to go before we open our doors but in reality it's only 4 weeks!! OMG! Oh and HMRC can go themselves for being unhelpful gits... thank you v much unhelpful helpline idiots!! Grin Grin

owlbooty · 04/03/2011 14:52

WOO-HOO! Tunnocks am absolutely chuffed to bits for you Grin Do not fret about the dates; they are often utterly, utterly wonky at that sort of stage. Finding a heartbeat is wonderful.

Have a brilliant relaxed rest of the day :)

Knitter hope the counselling session is good.

PinkFondantFancy · 04/03/2011 15:10

tunnocks wonderful news!! This sounds ridiculous coming from me (!) but try and relax until your 8 week scan-the fact that there was a heartbeat already means it can't be that far away from your dates, and as the others say, measurements are completely pants early on.

I am going to haddock slap myself for being incapable of following own advice while bring perfectly happy to dish it out with a straight face!! Grin

nix sounds like fun!! Hehe can't wait-am somewhat strongwilled myself so likely to make for a peaceful house in the mornings!! Grin Grin Grin

Good luck orange!

I am slightly confused, have just booked 12 week scan privately as have given up waiting for an appointment from the Nhs, and the confirmation mail says I don't need to have a full bladder??? Er, why not??

PinkFondantFancy · 04/03/2011 15:11

Also feeling a bit Confused about having booked a 12 week scan-naff off jinx pixies!!

nickstermum · 04/03/2011 15:12

ah teacake relly really pleased for you lovely xxxx
feetup now my love, take it easy for a bit xxx

nickstermum · 04/03/2011 15:14

pink i went for my 12 week scan with an overful bladder and i was sent away to empty half of it! Try emptying half an overful bladder.... not an easy feat i can tell you!!

MummyAbroad · 04/03/2011 16:20

Hi Pink usually tummy scans are better when done with a full bladder but fanjocam works better with an empty bladder. Maybe it is also something to with how far along you are? Perhaps its only necessary to worry about bladder being empty/full when its early days? Just guessing that last bit.

DoubleDiffedDachs · 04/03/2011 16:26

hello all :)

tunnocks dates = irrelevant heartbeat = FAB!!! Grin So pleased for you

Also all you other scanners out there today. glad you have had good news :)

pink Scary booking 12 week scan isn't it! My doc yesterday persuaded me to get mine booked in (although it's booked for 12+5 so I'm not sure how i'm going to wait that long!) My appointment also says you don't need a full bladder... Glad you have a nice little look at pinkbabe I can't wait until mine start looking a bit more like babies! (We saw tiny limb buds yesterday and they're beginning to look a bit less like tadpoles but still not v baby like..)

I have a booking in appointment with the midwife at 10+4 so I guess that's my next official date. So far I've had a scan every week since 5 weeks so I'm not sure how I'm going to cope next week without seeing the dachspups again. Trying to get a positive mental attitude. (I think my consultant thinks I'm a bit stressed out about it all - he kept patting me on the arm yesterday, which I'd usually find horribly patronising but it was actually strangely reassuring!)

Velvetcu · 04/03/2011 16:38

I have had a really big wibble yesterday/today. Had lots of pink goo dripping out yesterday afternoon so have spent today with my feet up lazing around on the settee, feeling guilty about not going to work and sobbing my heart out about how difficult this all is!

I phoned the midwife line and her words were "Think about something else instead, we wont treat you any differently just because you've had an mmc so you wont get an early scan. Speak to your gp if you are bleeding before then". That is not what I needed to hear although I know it's true.

Does my pink goo count as a bleed or not? I have no pain or anything.

DH says I can book in for a private scan next week if I want (they will do them from 6 weeks) but I dont know if that will make me feel any better or not. Everyone on here seems to be so much more cheerful after they have seen their bean(s).

Sorry for mememe, it's why I havent posted much for a few days
