Hello all! Very busy and long day at work yesterday, which I didn't really mind so much as it stopped me thinking too much. I must have looked awful though, as someone (guess what, someone pregnant) asked if I was okay at one point... I just mumbled "yes" and carried on. Today I'm 8+5, which is when the last one came out. Stressing about scan tomorrow.

I like your list but I'll not put myself on just yet, as still fairly wibbly.

Wombat - you can be a jelly with me then while you wait..! Your ongoing brown goo stories with good scans are helping me no end.

Teacake - how are things now? You seemed quite sure earlier in the week, but I'm still carrying a flame of hope for you. Are the peesticks still coming up positive?

Digi - glad that you are being reassured by symptoms! The day where it all went wrong before is a horrible one to get through - hope yours is going well so far.

Robin - good work on booking the scan. I guess if you are on a lovely holiday, that might stop you worrying about it too much?

Onions - mmmm your cake descriptions are making me drool!

Velvet - I reckon ask him to move out whatever happens... you didn't want him there in the first place, and he has definitely outstayed his welcome. About your scans.. around here, if you didn't book in with MW until you'd seen a heartbeat at 7-8 weeks, there's no way you'd get your first NHS scan by 10+5 - might be better near you, but something to think about.

Daisy - good luck for your scan today.

Mamap - hoorrrayyy for the new house, and those mojitos sound scrummy.. And Pink too - know what you both mean about the maternity wear. All my jeans are tight now (to be fair, largely due to just normal lard) but I'm not buying anything yet. Tinned pears reminds me of my 70s childhood!

Orange, Nix - sounds like you needed a good cry... like A&R, I think I need a trigger too cos at the moment I'm just storing everything up..

Knitter - love your funny story about your dad... just the sort of thing mine would do!

Don't fret Wombat I'm banned from everywhere with sheep. OH is extremely paranoid concerned about the risks and so I'm not even allowed to touch his work clothes until they've been through a hot wash. No bottle feeding lambs for me this year

He has at least washed the dog so she can spend the afternoon with me on the sofa watching tele

Oh emoo epic catch up! You put me to shame! hope you have a very uneventful day today and the scan gooes well tomorrow. On the brown goo front - still getting it! That's nearly every day for three weeks now with four good scans in that time.

Oh that's a shame Daisy (but good obviously). My mum keeps inviting me to go to a local farm to see the lambs and I keep having to think of excuses why I don't want to/can't go (normally I'd jump at the chance!). Getting very mushy about the idea of taking the little one to bottle feed lambs in years to come though :)

digi sorry if I've made things worse. If it's any consolation I'm petrified... 6+5 today... There was a heartbeat at 5+4 but bean was littler than I expected... Also feeling un-pregnant today... Seems like the next 16 days are going to really drag for me...

Digi - well done for asking on the tube. I haven't dared yet for what people might say but one morning when it was bad I just sat down in the middle of the carriage because I was feeling faint and promptly got offered a seat. Next time I may ask and if refused then sit.

Pink in our weird twindom I had been feeling better ms wise (only a little bit queasy in the first place) until this morning when straight after breakfast I emptied breakfast into the sink. Hadn't felt sick before and didn't feel unwell after. Not like anything I've ever had before but did feel a little reassured that there might still be something (s) in there.

Wombat on the lamb/sheep advice, I've had various bits of advice given to me. The first (extremely young) GP I saw said "Oh, good good" when I said that OH was a sheep farmer. The first sonographer at the EPAU told me to wear gloves and I'd be fine, but then the MW said that OH had to strip at the door!

From checking the public health advice, it seems that greatest risk is when the lambs are freshly born and when they are still 'wet'.

But we're not taking any chances, and I probably would avoid the farm if you can . I'm not even allowed on the quadbike any more

But I am also having visions of pet lambs in the kitchen, and LO toddling around feeding things

Quick question. Is anyone else REALLY cold... It took a three hour hot bath to warm me up yesterday...

Also I had my first pregnancy related dream last night. Doctors thought that my baby was going to be born without legs. But when born she was fine :) Nice dream, baby was called Caroline and dream even included bfing... Very detailed.

Crikey no one else on here for nearly a whole hour!!

Knitter what a lovely dream (except the first bit!). YES - I was also really cold at your stage! I seem to have warmed up a bit now (at 12+4) although I still sit on the sofa in the evening is fluffy socks, tracky bottoms, two t-shirts and three jumpers Does that make you feel any better?

Daisy sob at that image I had a pet lamb when I was little and it did indeed live in the kitchen - in a dustbin of hay next to the aga! Was my uncle and aunt's kitchen/farm though, not ours, sadly.

Thanks for the advice. Hummm, makes me think though, I'm on a farm tomorrow for the day for meetings... don't think they've got any sheep though so I should be alright!

knitter careful on the 'hot' baths sweets, baths per se are ok but be careful of the temp as in Tri 1 you have to avoid raising your core temp!

knitter I love baths too but always get paranoid about the temperature. You need one of these duckies they come in very handy when you are in with bubba too!

PS If you were feeling cold when in the bath, I doubt you raised your core temp much!

Afternoon all! Hope all the wibblers are not wibbling too much! I'm feeling much better today thanks. The cakes went down a storm in RL. There's something about grown men going weak at the knees at chocolate cake, although some of them didn't believe that I had made it!I put them right of course and am now admired for something else other than my ever growing (one bloke did ask if I had modeled giant cupcake on my breasts!?!)
And after reading everyones posts and seeing how busy you all are, I feel exceptionally guilty about staying on the sofa all day and catching up on stuff on my Sky planner!
(BTW is anyone else watching Bedlam?)
Busy few days ahead though. And off to the smoke on Saturday for a frinds birthday. She hopes that I won't get bored from not drinking!

Midwife appointment today and eeeeekkkkkkkkk! I weigh 11st 7lbs..........I have managed to go from 10st11lbs to that in just over 4 weeks. Bloody steroids.....but really, I'm not too bothered as it's all in a good cause. Start weaning off the steroids in week, so am hoping that will stop me eating soooooo much (yeah, right!).
As for the appointment, I was sat waiting with a girl who looked about 17, talking about aborting one of her pg's with some former boyfriend - she already has a child,another on the way and a social worker appointed to her. I was just quite shocked that someone would talk about abortion, like it was the equivalent of making a cup of tea, when a complete stranger could hear everything. Classy, or what?

Off the see Dr.Shehata on Saturday, so fingers crossed that this scan will be fine. Feel nervous, as I've done the midwife thing and I don't feel remotely like I should be doing that yet - don't feel like I'm safe enough yet.

Hot Hope you have a good time in London - and a day on the sofa sounds lovely, you deserve it.

D'oh! I read 'addiction' as 'addition'' and though were were getting a newly diffed lady nn tooty fruities. Gah, I think I've lost my marbles. Am in a total tizz about nuchal results (which I haven't yet had, which in itself is a good sign). Have now called hospital to see if they can give them to me and they're going to call me back (but that was an hour ago and nothing yet so wibbling even more - must get a grip!!).
