A safe place for everyone on the TTC after MC rollercoaster. Welcome and come in - virtual wine and chocolate for all, and lots of support and hand-holding until you get your BFP!

The thread moves fast but don't let that put you off - feel free to come along and stay to chat; or dip in and out with any questions.

If you want to join the stats, just add yourself to the list:

WTTC = waiting to TTC
UCL = usual cycle length

Good luck to all - here's hoping for lots of healthy, sticky BFPs by the end of the thread!

Pink cheese eating sounds positive!! and £15 for four CB digis?? I need to order this affternoon to feed my habit! Grin Was that on amazon?

nickstermum · 17/01/2011 14:56

poas!

If its any consolation ladies, i have just scoffed a Mcd's, soon to be followed with a pack of 4 white iced buns.... yes i think there is definately something in it... so much for the wholegrains, omega's, vits n stuff! Poor little bean...!

babes can you post your chart? Lets have a nosey then? Remember t'was the same with Orange at christmas x

DachshundsWantPuppies · 17/01/2011 15:01

Blush Have followed the advice and been buying multiple packs of digis and other types of pg test from Amazon...

The embies are on board, I'm home and since I'll need to officially POAS on 31st I thought I should get some supplies in...

Strange cravings and interesting charts? Excellent - you lot should have multiple BFPs to report over the next few days.

Natalie2011 · 17/01/2011 15:08

pink i think it is a sign that a) you have good taste in cheese b) you may be turning into a mouse c)i'm pretty sure eating whilst driving is illegal and d) you are, in fact, a ledge. Wink

maybe we should start charting our biscuit levels rather than temperatures? probably not best to do that before getting out of bed though, think of the crumbs...

my chart was 'this is how many jaffa cakes i have eaten in 45 minutes'. quite proud actually.

mama walkers aren't shite. how dare you.

Grin xx

cep · 17/01/2011 15:15

mamap loved the link.

i don't think i've ever tried leerdammer.

dachs i'm glad it went well for you today. fx for the 31st.

I also went straight to amazon even though i've still got over 2 weeks till due. oh well. Grin

yrmotb i hope it figures out soon.

wombat i didn't vom at all in either of the pregnancies. with DS i didn't even feel nauseous and that went fine. in fact i don't remember having any symptoms.

nickstermum · 17/01/2011 15:19

Dont forget your brazils dachs x glad it went ok xx

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 17/01/2011 16:26

You lot are a bad influence! I hopped straight over to amazon and bought 2 double packs of CB digis, despite not a whiff of a potential bfp around here!!

dachs glad it went well, they sound like top class embies - now take it easy while we all will them on!! When are you supposed to poas?

OP posts:
OrangeGloss · 17/01/2011 16:32

Gaaah I just rang to confirm my scan app, to find out I'd written it down wrong and it's on 24th - a week today. I thought it was odd to have one on a Sunday.

She was nice and said she's waiting to give the best possible chance of seeing something, but I'm going insaaaaane!! Actually, she sounded hopeful when I said I hadn't bled all week. Paranoia-ahoy then for the next 6 days!

cep · 17/01/2011 16:46

Me too izzy and unless DH starts feeling better very quickly i'm unlikely to be. i've just started my fertile period (supposedly), not ov'd yet but think i'm due to ov around the 20th, and as dh has spent all day today in bed, and is already saying he won't be in work tomorrow. it's unlikely.

oh Orange how frustrating. at least it's only 1 day out though.

BackOnceAgain · 17/01/2011 16:47

Well that'll teach me for missing a day on the thread Grin Phew.

Ok to summarise. YRMOTB no AF and No BFP? Bumsticks Confused hope you get some answers soon. Also well done on the no alcohol front. I am giving that one a try too...gotta be done, I have been terrible over xmas.

Dachs in place and waiting to stick? Good luck lovely Smile

Mamap ((hugs)) for dd AND pink I nearly cried when I read what your dh said, how sweet. Don't think my dh will even realise unless I tell him on the 29th Sad YEs lanterns sound brilliant. I have a chinese one I was bought for xmas, I might suggest it...

MummyAbroad · 17/01/2011 16:49

mornin' !!

Dach Whooop whoop for two top quality eggsGrinGrin

cep I would say day before ov is much better because swimmers need 7/8 hours to go through a process called capacitation before they can fertilise an egg. Best to have swimmers all ready and forming an orderly cue for when egg arrives. However, you should also take into account how "good" your CM is. If you have loads for several days before OV, you can probably sustain swimmers for longer. If you dont have much then timing it just right is more important.

noKnicksNix knickerless eh? thanks for the inspiration on how to seduce DH while I still have a raging cold and am not looking my best Wink Grin

wombat FX for those test results. Symptoms arent everything. When I had DS I didnt notice until really late in as I had no symptoms, I had Hyperemisis with the mc though and ended up in casualty Confused

YRMOTB how many temps over the coverline do you have? If you got 18, then I would say you are diffed... Smile

Just made some home made bread in my bread machine. Help yourself

MummyAbroad · 17/01/2011 16:53

x posts Hi BOA I was Envy of mamaP 's DH being so sensitive too. Hope 29th goes OK for you xxx

cep FF says I will ov around that time too!

cep · 17/01/2011 17:02

i'm actually wondering if post mc i've gone back to the cycle i used to have before ds and pill. will be interesting to see what it shows on ff once i've done a full cycle.

Sorry to be constantly asking questions but i just want to clarify the temp thing. do i have to be asleep for the 3 hrs before temping or just lying down?? if i sit up then lie down (having initially forgotten)does that alter the temp?? what happens if i temp at a completely unusual time??

OrangeGloss · 17/01/2011 17:02
Velvetcu · 17/01/2011 17:09

Whoop whoop for the dachs embies :)

Sorry YRMOTB that you have no answers yet! I am fully supporting the dont test til Thursday attitude. If you test before and its a BFN you will test again later anyway.

Quick hellooo to everyone else.

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 17/01/2011 17:15

velvet !!! Don't post and run - we need to know if there's any news from you yet?!

OP posts:
Velvetcu · 17/01/2011 17:19

Nothing to report Izz, AF due today, been knicker checking all day coz I had some brown goo for about an hour last night but absolutely nothing since.

I'm gonna leave testing til the weekend but I honestly think the witch will be here shortly.

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 17/01/2011 17:49

Not over till it's over velvet - I forgot, do you chart? If so, hows it looking?

Thanks for the bread mummya

OP posts:
MummyAbroad · 17/01/2011 18:00

Izz Not bad thanks I got emails from both my UK AS specialist doctor and US specialist AS doctor today. One says "proceed to TTC" and the other says "dont proceed to TTC (until I have seen hard copies of your results)"Confused

ooops, too late now!

nickstermum · 17/01/2011 18:11

Mmm mummy which do you trust most?!

BOA to feather your addiction more... have you got the phone APP yet?!! FF that is? and yes...utter shite....following my mcd's and pack of 3 (couldnt quite manage the 4th) white iced buns i am sat munching on a plastic ham sandwhich on white plastic bread! and its heaven!

babes WHERE ARE YOU WITH THIS CHART?......??!?!?!?!? might have to scroll back up and see if i can find it...!! Grin

nickstermum · 17/01/2011 18:12

orange same day as me then.....

MummyAbroad · 17/01/2011 18:31

Nix the London one who says YES, is the one who has seen my insides so I do trust his opinion. The American one, who says NO is quite famous for being much "stricter" in terms of giving the green light. He says that the ultrasound scan results that I emailed him look good but wants to see my HSG results and for me to get another scan (midcycle) done first.

I am going ahead with TTC but getting as much info from both doctors in the meantime. I am going to try and send my HSG slides to the states but I might have missed the window for that second scan (should be today) if I cant organise it today or tommorrow then I will do it next month (if not pregnant)

I am feeling OK about my decision, have been reading about this tons and discussing with DH at lot. Overall there is a 9% risk of developing placenta accreta in a post AS pregnancy. I dont think 9% sounds that scary anymore, and there is much more risk of infertility if I dont get pregnant within the first three months after treatment. So the race is on!!

xxxxxxxxxxxxx

Mamapower · 17/01/2011 18:43

In that case, good luck Mummy and I hope you win the race... or perhaps I hope your dh's swimmers win the race Grin Grin

youremindmeofthebabe · 17/01/2011 18:53

Not yet mummya-only 16 so far, last months LP was 11 daysConfused

Waves to velvet- I agree re testing, but it's orrible.

I have been uber analysing all the FF charts, theres loads with late HPT (*over 15 days) There's hardly any with negs before that, but do we really think all those people were so restrained as to only do 1HPT at over 16 DPO?? I hope not.

mummya Woop for the green, and amber lights! get in there! Smile

Sorry am a bit distracted today (and last few days) Hope you're all well and happy-lanterns sound lovely mamap.

PinkRabbitFood · 17/01/2011 19:18

Hello all!

They've dispatched my pee sticks Grin haha they must have wondered what on earth is going on with the random rush on cb digis this afternoon!!!

nickers big up respect for the iced bun effort :) you surely can't leave one behind though, it'll make your desk messy!! Much better to eat it up om
nom nom

BOA DH is sweet eh? I had been banging on a bit over new year but he had made a special effort to remember :)

dachs I hope you are chilling out while your embies make themselves nice and comfy!!

mummya I think you've made the right decision, like you say, when combined with all the other stats around this ttc malarky 9% doesn't seem so bad afterall...

Natalie I am going to commence cheese temping tomorrow Grin as currently I'd rather have a big old lump of cheese than biccies (weird I know!!)

velvet my fellow knicker checker I am obsessively checking too-also due today and have had some crazy cramping but nothing yet. How about we test on Friday (assuming AF doesn't rock up, which I'm not completely hopeful about but just in case!!)

wombie have you been on amazon yet?? :)

YRMOTB step away from google nice lady it is full of evil lies!!

mamap I loved the link!! Haha made me a bit paranoid that it was written about me though Grin

Everyone that hadn't tried leerdammer (not sure that's how you spell it, the wrapper doesn't stay on long enough for me to check!!) do it do it do it already! I love my cheese but it is currently top of the leaderboard, esp as i think it is 2ww safe!! When AF arrives I will commiserate with a slab of Brie....

CEP you need to have 3 hours uninterrupted sleep ideally but it's hard!!

Sorry if missed anyone on phone as usual.....
