A safe place for everyone on the TTC after MC rollercoaster. Welcome and come in - virtual wine and chocolate for all, and lots of support and hand-holding until you get your BFP!

The thread moves fast but don't let that put you off - feel free to come along and stay to chat; or dip in and out with any questions.

If you want to join the stats, just add yourself to the list:

WTTC = waiting to TTC
UCL = usual cycle length

Good luck to all - here's hoping for lots of healthy, sticky BFPs by the end of the thread!

Just a quick message to say hello and welcome to jaffacake - I'm sorry for your losses, sounds like you've had a really tough time Sad. This is a great place to be in the circumstances but obviously I hope you're not here too long iykwim.

I'm another one on the weight loss bandwagon - 4.5 lb gone, 11.5 to go, and also doing SW (except I'm not really, I gave up after week one and reverted to the old WW diet that worked for me before - but have to keep going and weighing in at SW as I'm going with a friend!)

Anyway - who's poas-ing this week? I reckon we can fit in at least one more bfp before we have to abandon the lucky thread! (well, I say "lucky"...it wasn't that lucky for some of us!!!)

Hi cep just seen your chart, I dont think you have ov'd yet. Do you normally have long cycles? or have you been under any stress/travel/illness? I am basing this JUST on temps not on what you recorded as CM.(If your CM data is accurate then ignore me compeltely - but you did say you werent sure about it, right?)

I think you should have a cervix feel and see if it feels hard (like your nose) or soft (like your lips)

Are you still "at it"? If not, I would say its worth a bit more action.

cep · 25/01/2011 18:11

mummya pre m/c my cycles seemed to be anywhere between 24 and 28 days. longest 28. I'm not sure of anything at the mo, all this checking and temping (or at least charting the temps) is new to me. Again the problem with the cervix checking is untill i started checking it last week i'd never felt it before. [bblush] to be honest i'm only assuming i'm feeling the right bit, (feels a bit like the parsons nose on a chicken shape wise?) it tends to feel hard in centre and soft on outer to my novice finger.

DachshundsWantPuppies · 25/01/2011 18:16

ok PLEASE HELP SAVE MY SANITY!!!!!!!!!

Just got home, know it's way too early to test and it should be FMU

But I POAS on a First Response and (so faint i can hardly see it and it could be my imagination) but there's a line...

Someone tell me I must be imagining it and hit me with a haddock (or maybe a shark) please....

Wombat33 · 25/01/2011 18:20

Oh Dachs Grin Grin Grin Grin Big huge huge hugs (((((()))))) Wow!! You must be feeling all over the place. Do you have another test in the house so you can test again with FMU tomorrow morning??? Sending super sticky vibes your way!!!!!!

cep · 25/01/2011 18:20

dachs i don't want to hit you with anything, but it might be a good idea to try again in a couple of days.

mummya (sorry tmi) Just had a test and it was hard, i kind of pushed it down so i could feel it and could feel the hole. the whole thing was coated with blood, was on finger but not on knickers. I'm so sorry i would/could never discuss this with dh never mind a rl friend.

Wombat33 · 25/01/2011 18:21

PS absolutely no way I'm going to haddock (or shark!) you!!! Maybe encourage you to curl up on the sofa with a trashy rom com and try and keep your mind off it (yeah right!) until the morning. Wow. I'm so excited for you!

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 25/01/2011 18:26

Oooooh dachs - how exciting!!! You see, I said there was time for at least one more!! Grin Grin

. When is it that you're supposed to test? How unreasonably early is this poas-ing?!!

OP posts:
DachshundsWantPuppies · 25/01/2011 18:34

I did freely admit it was unreasonably early, but i thought they had their test date wrong 'cos you're meant to test 14 days after ovulation, not 16 days after fertilisation so by my reckoning it was only umm.... 4 days or so rather than 6 early...

But i don't believe it yet and until I've seen it on more than one type of test (actually until I've seen a bean at a scan) I'm not pregnant

DachshundsWantPuppies · 25/01/2011 18:42

wombat After P8ink* pointed out the fab price of tests the other week I bought shed loads, so I have lots in the house... Blush

DachshundsWantPuppies · 25/01/2011 18:42

izz surely if you get a BFP it can't be too early?

OrangeGloss · 25/01/2011 18:51

I haven't time to catch up sorry, but I really need to do a small whoop for Dachs are you POAS tomorrow fmu?

DachshundsWantPuppies · 25/01/2011 18:52

i just POAS on a CB digi as well and it said 1-2 weeks...

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 25/01/2011 18:52

No dachs I'm happy to concede that the concept of being too early for a bfp makes no sense Grin

And anyway if you're at, say, 10dpo-ish that's well within respectable limits in my book Grin Grin

OP posts:
MummyAbroad · 25/01/2011 18:53

Oh Dash!! Oh My God!!! This is great news!!!!! A line is a line lady!!! (but has it crossed your mind you could save up the pee for four hours and then pee some more!!! (dont drink anything)Grin Grin Grin Thank god Poisson theory proved you wrong !! (about there being a finite number of BFP's)Grin

cep your cervix changes gradually around ov, so it slowly gets softer, so feel some bits hard and some bits soft could mean you are pre ov/about to ov. check again tomorrow and see if it is softer. Get a bit of paper and draw a circle on it and another one inside the size of your cervix (that you can feel) mark where you think it is hard and soft so you have something to compare to tomorrow. (and have a shag Grin)

DachshundsWantPuppies · 25/01/2011 18:54

OP posts:
DachshundsWantPuppies · 25/01/2011 19:11

can i stay where i am until at least my official test day - I'm sure that the BFP is going to disappear over the next couple of weeks so I feel safer staying put...

Mamapower · 25/01/2011 19:16

Dachs do what ever you like chica.

On the subject of cramps... given my only experience of them is mc, to those who have carried to term, is there a difference between a good cramp and an mc type cramp? Just curious as I have been totally ignoring mine or every twinge would have me worried!
