A safe place for everyone on the TTC after MC rollercoaster. Welcome and come in - virtual wine and chocolate for all, and lots of support and hand-holding until you get your BFP!

The thread moves fast but don't let that put you off - feel free to come along and stay to chat; or dip in and out with any questions.

If you want to join the stats, just add yourself to the list:

WTTC = waiting to TTC
UCL = usual cycle length

Good luck to all - here's hoping for lots of healthy, sticky BFPs by the end of the thread!

I don't want you to go. Any of you. And i've been here fucking ages. I like to share your ups and downs, and makes me realise that i'll get there one day.

cep · 24/01/2011 19:15

mamap they do look a bit clownish. As far as i'm concerned i have no problem seeing all the scan info and stuff, kinda gives me hope that it can happen again, and can actually go alright. But i'm relatively new on here.

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 24/01/2011 19:25

And me. I've also been here since the dawn of fucking time but I'm loving the whole ray of hope thing and, rather selfishly, would miss you all if you took off now.

OP posts:
Chloe55 · 24/01/2011 19:28

I have my up and down days mamap at seeing all the BFPs. I am obviously over the moon on one hand and sad it's not me on the other. However, I guess this thread is all about the support getting to that final chapter and I don't think that final chapter particularly comes in the first few months anyway iyswim? I know if I did fall pg then I would want to keep my hand in here for advise etc and god forbid if something went wrong again Sad at least I would know everyone here understood and I would still kinda 'know' you all.

I totally appreciate your concerns about the rest of our feelings though. But please don't bugger off to a new thread - we will start feeling left out Wink

DachshundsWantPuppies · 24/01/2011 19:30

i've been here fucking ages too - don't you dare bugger off... I need that positivity too!

Mamapower · 24/01/2011 19:32

Well that's that then, just didn't want anyone feeling that they wished we were taking our 12 weeks worry's elsewhere! (I don't like the thought of upsetting people at all, in anyway, especially those who have been so kind to me)
Lovely snogs girls Grin Grin Grin

BackOnceAgain · 24/01/2011 19:43

Grin haha you lot make me laugh a lot ( but I am with mamap on the effect of burns faces echoing the horrorfest of clown proportions on my mind!!)
Thanks for your thoughts about scan photo, Cep that is weird you lost yours too eh?
Feeling bad as i hope I didn't put any downers on the BFP crew with talk of pregnancy past? Please dong leave, you guys are beacons of things to come for all if us. (ok you can have a pre grad thread if you want but don't leave us FOREVER or I'll hunt each one of you down
Grin )

BackOnceAgain · 24/01/2011 19:44

"choc" brownies, though chic would be fitting too..

owlbooty · 24/01/2011 19:47

I was thinking about a pre-grad '12 week wobblers' thread too - am not intending to bugger off as you lot are far too lovely but it'd be good to have somewhere else to panic that doesn't mean this thread is more about bfp than ttc - tis hard enough ttc as we all know.

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 24/01/2011 20:04

Of course the other option is to follow pretty's example and set up a separate common room-type thread to post on too, for the old-timers with bfps and the old-timers who should have their bfps but don't (yet!). Then you could post with immunity and not worry about upsetting anyone who's recently mc'd or who is struggling with the pg talk?

Just a thought - as I said I'm equally happy for you to stay, just don't want to lose you altogether!!

BOA hope you're ok after the photo - I like to have mine and do like to look at them sometimes but it always makes me cry x

PinkIsACheeseAddict · 24/01/2011 20:04

I really hope I'm not going to get sacked when work see my phone bill but can't leave you girls alone! Sorry velvet, I completely know how you feel. How about a separate 12 week mentalling thread to be used for mentalling, but stay here for chat and lesbo action?? The scottish faces are fab! I miss the christmas ones though :(

Thanks for fishy slaps, they were deserved! I promise to try and recover my zen :)

Blackberry battery is running out so better run :(
When I get home I am going to make a massive drink and catch up properly with all you lovelies-am defo going to need the notebook at the ready. Love you all heaps xx

kat2504 · 24/01/2011 20:07

I'm happy to hear people talk about new pregnancies and i think you are all sympathetic to how non-pg posters are feeling. Venting about symptoms would be better elsewhere for obvious reasons but am always happy to hear that scans went well. Congrats nix by the way. Really pleased for you.

clareanna · 24/01/2011 20:08

Hi all - just popping from grads to say to any BFPs you're more than welcome to lurk there as well as here - we're a friendly lot!! and have all been through the 12 week mentalling!!!

skitoo · 24/01/2011 20:15

I'm really new to this but know I would miss all the chat from you guys who are such experts and give us hope that it can happen for us too - I know I need it!!

Chloe - the pattern you had was exactly the same as mine for the last couple of cycles on 100mg clomid. I was hideous days 2-6, got myself together a few days later and then went to pieces again the week after that. I was also having the HCG trigger shot, so not sure if that also affected my behaviour - poor DH..

Anyone mind sharing how long it took for AF to arrive after MC? I'm in that waiting period now and it can't come quick enough.

Well AF arrived! Pleased tbh (obv would have much rather had a bfp) at least I can stop mentaling and brush myself off and try again! TBH I knew in the back of my mind it wasn't my cycle about 5days ago, before then I was convinced that it was! maybe 1st proper cycle of temping so was reading too much into the high immediately post ov temps! On a crappy note though this is the nastiest heaviest af in ages!

will do personals tomoz, off to drink my sorrows!

MummyAbroad · 24/01/2011 20:25

I would miss all the recently diffed if you upped and left, so please dont go completely.

and can I have a snog? Feeling a bit low and it might cheer me up....

MummyAbroad · 24/01/2011 20:28

Sorry loola

skitoo mine didnt come back, after 8 months I had an operation to get them back. Sad

8 weeks for me ski, a bit of spotting here and there though before that.

I am enjoying a glass of wine, it's been a tough month...

skitoo · 24/01/2011 20:39

Sorry AF got you Loola, enjoy your drink :)

MummyA, thanks for responding, horrible you had to go through that. I had to have Provera to start AF 9 months after I stopped the pill and have not had a regular cycle since:( Hope you don't mind a snog from someone you just met - here's one {wink}

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 24/01/2011 20:42

loola sorry she got you Sad. Come join us at the bottom of the list

ski I was 30 days, so not bad at all. Over six months on and still trying to get my cycle completely back to normal though - but everything basically seems to be working ok. Hope you don't have too much of a wait.

yrmotb might join you in the wine I think

OP posts:
Velvetcu · 24/01/2011 20:59

lol I cant resist replying right now!

I'm in the "I've been here fucking ages club" and I don't want you diffders to go anywhere either. I just have to have a break coz, unlike others who seem to be staying positive, I dont actually think it is going to ever happen for me again. No reaason to think that I just do.

MummyAbroad · 24/01/2011 21:03

thanks for the snogs! Grin

skitoo 'corse I dont mind. great way to get to know you Grin

Have your cycles always been irregular (since your first periods?) Have you had blood tests before to check for hormonal problems like PCOS, thyroid etc? 4-7 weeks is the average for getting AF after ERPC, but when I asked around a long time ago some ladies told me they got AF after 12 weeks. Seeing as you did have a problem before, I would suggest going to see your GP after 6 weeks, and asking for provera, much better than the torturous waiting. I did my "provera challenge" after 16 weeks, I wish I hadnt waited so long (it failed)

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 24/01/2011 21:08

Good to hear from you velvet -hope you're ok? Big (((hugs))) and a massive snog coming your way too x

OP posts:
Mamapower · 24/01/2011 21:09

Hugs velvet we all understand that, I've had some v low points!
