A safe place for everyone on the TTC after MC rollercoaster. Welcome and come in - virtual wine and chocolate for all, and lots of support and hand-holding until you get your BFP!

The thread moves fast but don't let that put you off - feel free to come along and stay to chat; or dip in and out with any questions.

If you want to join the stats, just add yourself to the list:

WTTC = waiting to TTC
UCL = usual cycle length

Good luck to all - here's hoping for lots of healthy, sticky BFPs by the end of the thread!

Don't desert us completely yet though!

Wombat33 · 24/01/2011 15:29

Yey! That's great news Nix!!

skitoo · 24/01/2011 15:35

Hello Ladies - wonder if you'd mind me joining you? I've been reading your lovely thread since the first week of Jan, when I had an MMC and ERPC and it really helped me get through it, sorry that we?re all on here but thanks to you all :)

Chloe I also took clomid last year and the plan is to be back on it again soon. I just wanted to tell you that it has exactly the same effect on me ? it sends me bandy! I found myself all over the place, usually with a mental headache and a whole load of other horrible side effects :(

It sounds like this may be a big week for many so lots of positive thoughts for everyone.

LiveLaughLove25 · 24/01/2011 15:39

Hey all :o

Don't suppose any of you could shine some light on my situation?

I'm 21dpo with no BFP :(

I had a light pinky reddish bleed 15dpo which lasted 2 days and only there when wiped.

Wish I'd get BFP or AF so I know what to do. Never had anything like this before.

Fell pregnant in august last year but had a MMC at 8weeks :( had no bleeding then either.

Anyone been through this? Or is it my body getting back in the swing, cos my pervious 2 AF's have arrived on my normal 28 day cycle.

Thanks in advance ~x~

PinkIsACheeseAddict · 24/01/2011 15:47

Hey all

Just a v quick one, on work blackberry... Just had to see whether YRMOTB had news yet, sorry you're having frustrating time :( and also to see how Nix's scan went- well done honey. Big waves to everyone else, will catch up when home. No news here-am having a nice holiday but think about the bean constantly and am feeling so so stressed. I'm only just 5 weeks today, have a scan this time next week and every time I go to the loo I think its going to be all over-I'm exhausted from the roller coaster. Next week feels like a lifetime, 12 weeks feels totally unimaginable. Have no symptoms, finding it v tough to believe in the poor little thing. Sorry for venting, doesn't really seem appropriate here but I really am gonna need some handholding-i know thinking about how much I want this to work has no impact on the outcome but I can't help worrying :( I'm measuring time in intervals of needing the loo and knicker checking. Deep breaths...

youremindmeofthebabe · 24/01/2011 15:51

Ha. Hello livelaugh I am currently at a similar stage to you, 22 DPOwith no BFP or AF. I suspect a Luteal cyst. Let me direct you to the info I found. Am off to the GP on Thursday, so will let you know how that goes if you want?

Hello and welcome to skitoo

Whooooooooop for nix that's such fab news lovely lady!! A special [bgrin] for you xx

youremindmeofthebabe · 24/01/2011 15:53

xposts pink sorry you're feeling low. It's a lot to take in. But you've a scan soon, which is good. It's just a crappy waiting game now, isn't it? ((hugs))

youremindmeofthebabe · 24/01/2011 15:55

here

and here for random info

Chloe55 · 24/01/2011 15:58

Great news nix! Grin

Pink - you are bound to feel liek that, I bet all the BFP ladies can agree they felt the same at 5 weeks, I can't wait to get there but dreading it at the same time too.

Skitoo - thanks for making me feel a little less mad, out of interest did you have the side effects around a similar time to me? WHat I am saying is I felt like crap whilst taking them, and a couple days after then felt good for about a week, I thought I might have o on cd12-14 as bled a little on these days but then BAM! cd16 and I get all the horrible side effects back so now I am thinking maybe this is ovulation time which would be effing typical as the last thing I feel like doing is getting jiggy Sad Urrgghh, wish I knew about all this temping lark before I started this cycle!

LLL - have you rung your gp? Perhaps they can get you in for a blood test, seems odd that you have 2 normal cycles then this weird one.

nickstermum · 24/01/2011 15:58

[bshock]

always you babes who finds these things first [bbear]

MummyAbroad · 24/01/2011 16:18

for Nix good news indeed!!!!! GrinGrin

skitoo sorry to hear about your loss, but welcome to the thread. Hope your stay is short, for all the right reasons.

LiveLaughLove I have gone 57DPO and no BFP, but it was because I have Ashermans Syndrome. Its very rare and very hard to get a diagnosis for, I worked it out in the end by charting (I could see temps drop when I should have had a period) I can totally understand your frustration at wanting the BFP or AF. I am pretty sure you will get one or the other soon, lots of womens cycles change after mc, and lots of women have very slow HCG rises, so the BFP comes later. In the meantime, hang in there! I know its exasperating but it will sort itself out soon!

YRMOTB I am with Izzy, I still have by hopes pinned on the slow buring HCG. What makes you feel like you are not pregnant? xxx

owlbooty · 24/01/2011 16:25

Nix another bad-ass wrigging little 'un, good stuff Grin

Welcome skitoo - may your stay with us be short for all the right reasons :)

Pinkypinkypink the knicker checking is compulsory Grin sorry. I reckon all the nervous bfp ladies on here know exactly what you're going through at the moment, unfortunately (which is partly why we're still in here to try and offer some reassurance as well as being too scared to leave) I'm still checking 'em now and am 12 + 1. I have promised myself I will stop if I get through the scan on Thurs/results Fri. So look ahead; take it one day at a time, and remember that symptoms or the lack thereof are absolutely meaningless and unhelpful. Chocolate and treats, however, are exactly what you need right now.

Could I just tap you lightly with this Cornish sardine?

LiveLaughLove25 · 24/01/2011 17:03

youremindmeofthebabe - Thanks!! That would be great. It's a pain not knowing what's happening with your body! Thought we might of got lucky this month too... Well hopefully it can be sorted so I can look forward to our BFP next month! \o/ YAY!!!

MummyAbroad - I bet that was frustrating. Yer I'm kinda putting it down to a weird cycle. I've been thinking about temping to watch my cycle. Get to know my body a bit better. I know I have to start at a full cycle to get to know my average temp. Been taking temp in morning for last week jus cos I'm curious and it's been 37.9-37.1 every morning. But I don't know my average, so it's useless! But least I'm getting practise In. Lol :) hope everything is going good for you now.

LiveLaughLove25 · 24/01/2011 17:11

36.9-37.1 is what I ment to say... Oops!! :o

OrangeGloss · 24/01/2011 17:28

HKbaby I believe it is the rate of increase that will be of more use, rather than a single day, but still good to know if within tolerance for your dates. I hope the next 2 weeks goes quickly, how far on will you be?
Loola sorry you're not feeling too good, but glad AF us staying away. Sorry I don't know anything about charts
((( Dachs ))) everyone is right it could be implantation pains, I had period-type pains before I was even due on. It must be so hard to stay positive, but we're all rooting for you and there aren't a limited number if BFPs. Post as much as you need to, and don't worry snout catching up, I'm sure you will when you are able. I often feel guilty for me-posts. And Angry @ IVF
Chloe I'm sorry you're having such a tough time, and being at home all day just encouraged negative thoughts and googling. You don't need to explain away feelings, it is only natural to be feeling like this, I hope your GP is of some help
Emoo fx she stays away this week and your temps stay up. The zit could be a symptom?

Wombat I'm sure there is a perfectly good reason for your levels - like twins Grin Fx for your scan on Thurs. It must be such a tough time for you, of course you are worried, hopefully over nothing
YRMOTB it ain't over yet, but I can imagine your frustration :(
Nix that is fecking awesome news, I have a big grin for you Grin Grin
Welcome Skitoo sorry you need to find yourself here, this is a lovely thread though
Pink glad you're having a good hol, not sure when the knicker checking stops tho, but blood doesn't necessarily mean bad news as I've had drummed into me the last 2 weeks

1st day back ok, I have to be on high alert not to do too many hours or get too worked up. Many a bathroom break was taken for frantic knicker checks.

How do you do the Scottish smily? Envy

Velvetcu · 24/01/2011 17:36

Great news nix [bgrin]

I am reading but am needing to be awol right now from the bfp brigade (although you al know I am delighted for you!)

izzy i had my egg white a few days go. this was literally just a glob.

I started this post about an hour ago interrupted by having to cook dinner,

BackOnceAgain · 24/01/2011 18:52

Hello everyone. Gah I am still a bit out if the loop but checking on your news daily.
Just so happy for you nicks I really am Smile
yrmotb hope thurs will bring answers, how fricking annoying for you...
wombat too, again thurs will hopefully bring some answers (won't choose this moment to tell you about my friend who suffered 2 mc only to have a ds, closely followed by twins!!! I wouldn't do that Wink )
owly I am Deffo going private scan for next time, if there is one, too. (disclaimer: we are not well off) I just think that it will help.
Waving madly at pink, MummyA, loola, tigger (congrats btw!) zam dachs hkb Cep Izzy Emoo Chloe ladybee velvet orange.
Plus everyone I have forgotten, hello to new peeps (hope your stay is short but enjoy the wisdom of some amazing women while you are here Smile )

A final mememe comment, which I have told no one about in RL, I found my 11w scan photo from last time,I thought I had lost it, looked everywhere, thought they had binned it with my notes at hospital after the mmc. And then it just fell out of the file we keep our passports in. I joked at the time it was the worst scan photo I ever had. Wish the little bean was clearer, maybe it was a sign... Sad

OrangeGloss · 24/01/2011 18:57

[bgrin] [bwink] [bhmm] [bshock] [bbear] [bbiscuit]

Ok I'm easily amused [bblush]

OrangeGloss · 24/01/2011 18:59

Oh BOA sorry for my silly x post

It must have been an awful shock to find it (((hugs)))

cep · 24/01/2011 19:01

back i did that when i went for a scan at 7 weeks they gave me a copy of the scan, but then i couldn't find it, still haven't. No idea where it went.

orange i know, they're cool.

cep · 24/01/2011 19:03

back i seem to have deleted part of my message. Stupid laptop. I had said that i hope you're ok having found it.

youremindmeofthebabe · 24/01/2011 19:09

mummya I have no concrete evidence. Just a knowing. which is very silly, but may well be correct as i've just started with horrible black spotting, which hopefully signals the beginning of AF. I'll let you's know tomorrow! Fx I don't have to visit the doctor on Thursday. Not that that will be much help to you, live- hope yours puts in an appearance soon, or you get a BFP!

Mamapower · 24/01/2011 19:10

Nix yipppppppppeeeee for baby nix Grin

cep them burns smileys are freaking me out in the same way as clowns do!!! Grin

pink I am down with the knicker checking but I'm going to give you the same pep talk I gave orange ; all this stress, will not help your bean. It's a wasted emotion cause it won't help. You may not have symptoms but neither are there any contra indications... no bleeding or severe cramps of both. So please try and relax if not for you for your bean. I can say this because I am in the same boat and I know I can't change what will be but I know that stress won't help... I'll save it for another day... one that I hope never arrives!

Hello ski and LLL sorry you are here, but these gal's are an amazing support.

waves to all

Those of us with BFPs just a thought/suggestion... we are a bit of a special bunch because there are so many of us at the moment in that pre-graduating phase, and I know that if I was one that wasn't in the roll call of recent announcements I would be pleased but Envy I am just wondering whether this is the place to be venting about having symptoms, not having symptoms, worrying, questions, scan dates etc etc etc (you get the picture)? Do you think, since there are a few of us, we should have another thread? A place where we can do all the above without it being a poignant reminder to those without BFPs on this thread. A pre grad haven if you like! I still very much want to be a part of this thread but am very very conscious of how all our postings might be affecting others! Just a thought!
