Thanks mamap but it's still a week (seems like a long time!) and don't get too excited, because I don't think it's worked. All my promising symptoms have disappeared and I just feel rather miserable and hopeless today.

dachs I'm no expert having only been pg once for a v short time but I don't think it means anything at all if your symptoms come and go. Have got everything crossed for you x

The people there are just so polite, they always bow and say hello. At my hotel in Bangkok i was going out for a ciggie (still smoked at time obviously) the door boy was over by the bell hop's desk on other side of v large entrance and he ran like hell to get to the door before me to open it for me. I really want to take dh there sometime, when we can afford it.

I am off to Sydney today to see my sister and her new baby. She is glowing and just so happy ... I think I am okish with it all - just a little sad that we were so excited to be having babies around the same age this time around and now there will be a fairly decent gap between them

dachs all symptoms/non symptoms pre-af due date are completely meaningless. I have done an exhaustive study on it and the only common factor seems to be the whole up and down-ness of it all.

Never having done any charting before, I gather monitoring waking temp is the first step? Can anyone recommend the right kind of themometer to buy?

Hi Lily,

You need to get a basal digital themometer it is more accurate at reading low temps than a fever themometer. Amazon is cheaper than boots.

check out fertility friend it has tutorial you can do that teaches you everything you need to know. If you input your temps it will tell you when you ov'd too.

If you want the absolute best info on charting ever, read the book "Taking Charge of Your Fertility" by Toni Weschler.

I know there are a few of us that have been here for a while, it just feels like so many people have come and gone (which is lovely and how it should be!) but sometimes it just gets you down, you know? Plus CD1 is always poo bum shite as BrownB would say, but I'm starting to get my head together again and feel quite positive about this next cycle. Hopefully it'll happen for us all shortly - you really deserve a speedy bfp yourself so I'll be stalking your chart with interest over the next week or so!!

Ok apologies before I delve into my very me me me post but I would like your opinions or just tell me wtf is going on with my body.

So cd2 - started Clomid

cd3,4,5,6,7,8 - was a total bitch with lots of abdominal pain, headaches etc. Dh even told me he considered telling me it wasn't worth it as he didn't know who I had become but kept reminding himself it was the drugs.

cd9,10 - swi, attitude/personality back to normal.

cd12 - had some spotting so presumed o had come early, boobs hurt, swi

cd14 - swi as gp had advised to def swi on this day.

cd16 (today) - blood streak discharge when I wiped. Have taken myself off to the bedroom since 4pm as actually want to kill dh (I know i am being a total bitch hence removing myself from him) and have had period pains for the past couple of hours.

Any ideas?

Its the most horrible feeling, I remember feeling like I was literally a knifes edge away from actually physically exploding at any one point! What with that and the hot flushes I was ready to be locked up!

I think Drs cd14 was because they all seem to expect 28 day cycles, the spotting is a good sign, have you sweeped for cm around cervix? I quite often find I don't have cm showing on underwear however when I have 'a rummage' its obvious what kind of CM i have, maybe give that a try and see what you find! Are you temping? I know thats PCOS suffers are supposed to have erratic temps but it seems to be worKing for me!

I am off to bed, can't stand this frustration anymore! I'm just a few hours away from 17dpo now and still no sign of AF except skin breakout (which seems to be calming down now) and gradually dropping temps! ( mamap not clockwork in terms of cycles but always 14 day luteal phase!) Does anyone know if OPKS can come back negative in error? I did a HPT on cd11 and negative but that was 3days before expected af. Its actually driving me insane... I was sure this was the month, until a few days ago....Even FF have given me 76points on thae early pregnancy signs scale but the dropping temps and skinbreakout say otherwise (although increased CM and nausea in BFP favour?? Very sore BBs however they could be symptoms of either!

Oh and chloe the headaches are hell with clomid too... try drinking Earl/Lady Grey, the bergamot works wonders x

dach I had no symptoms at all with DD with IVF, don't lose hope, get yourself some orange knickers (apparently the colour for fertility! ) You are officially pupo, and you are going to stay that way!!!

sorry chloe I dont know anything about chlomid cycles, I sympathise with the rage though, I just did 6 weeks of high dose HRT over Christmas and new year and want to kill everyone all the time! I couldnt find a single thing that helped, just suffered through the lot! Sorry hope you get that BFP quick so you dont have to stay on it long.

loola OPK's can definitely give false negatives - in that you could have a quick LH surge and miss it (i.e. you surge in the morning but by the time you test in the afternoon its gone) Its not true what they say on the instructions that every woman has the surge show up in their urine at the same time of day, it can come at anytime.

Thanks Loola, nice to know I am not alone at being the little girl off the Exorcist on this bloody stuff! I did get EWCM on day 12 and it is creamier now so don't actually think I am o anymore. I am not temping but def will start next month if this month is unsuccessful. Ididn't know that about the dodgy reading though with PCOS so thanks for the heads up.

Chloe Wow the clomid sounds hard work! Lets hope its worth it for you. Can second the vote for temping/using fertility friend. I was inspired by the ladies on here to give it a go and it has put me in control and helped with timing so much.

I am waiting for call from docs with HCG/progesterone results. Not really sure what one test will tell me in isolation but I hope its good news. I am sure Dr Google will interpret it for me thoroughly this afternoon. No bleeding so far, touch wood. Like all the other bfp'ers here I am just waiting and hoping/dreading in equal measure. Scan in 2 weeks.

I don't think that elusive bfp is on its way for me. Bad period pains today even though not due. Gutted

((( dachs ))) sorry you're not feeling more positive. Could it be implantation pains? When are you due to test? Will be keeping my fx for you - oh and I had no symptoms at all with my two successful pgs x

dach i second Izzy, could'nt it be implantation? how many days since it was done?

Transfer was last Monday, so wouldn't implantation already have happened if it were going to? (Due to test next Monday)

Feels very like AF coming... :( And it is about 28 days since the last one, which is my usual cycle length - although with the IVF drugs it might be delayed because technically I ovulated later than I'd expect on my usual cycle. but it doesn't feel delayed.

If AF shows up I'll let you know. I think I'll have to take a break from all this for a while. I can't just keep on doing this, it's doing my head in and now I'm really miserable. I just feel like I'm never going to be a mum :(
