A safe place for everyone on the TTC after MC rollercoaster. Welcome and come in - virtual wine and chocolate for all, and lots of support and hand-holding until you get your BFP!

The thread moves fast but don't let that put you off - feel free to come along and stay to chat; or dip in and out with any questions.

If you want to join the stats, just add yourself to the list:

WTTC = waiting to TTC
UCL = usual cycle length

Good luck to all - here's hoping for lots of healthy, sticky BFPs by the end of the thread!

cep · 23/01/2011 07:11

oh izzy i'm sorry af here.

morning all yet another disturbed morning, i have noticed though that my temp goes down not up when i'm awake. i tested just after i gave up on sleep about 6 (ds came in at 5) it was 96.93 tested about 6:30 was still lying down but no sleep and it was 96.5 got up and went to loo did cm test etc was 95.8.

i learnt something last night, probably common knowledge though, if you're unsure if your cm is cm or vag lubrication you put it in a glass of water if it's cm it'll globulise and sink to the bottom, if not it'll dissipate. (is that the right word) is a good indicator if you never go completely dry.

hope everyone is ok this morning, am going to see if i get get back to sleep although doubt it ds is going through a roaring stage.

Just wanted to give Izzy a hug, Lucky number 7? I'm coming upto cycle 6 but my cycles are so long its probably a similar amount of time x

YRMOTB Your chart is looking gorgeous!

Emoo could that be a implantation dip! FX!

Mummy I have the same problem with mine, I am hoping that stalking other charts will stop me looking at mine and getting frustrated! Wink

hadrian · 23/01/2011 09:40

Morning all. I don't have the skills for one of bee's amazing catch ups, especially after missing 3 days of chat!

Great, great news about the scan orange and I would dismiss the nonsense about not getting any more bleeding. Why would it suddenly stop altogether just because you've had a wonderful healthy scan? That's not logical.

Hello to brownb and so sorry to hear what you've been through. I MC'd on Christmas Eve so we're in about the same place. I think jiggle might be at a similar stage too...?

bee I hope you're doing ok and not feeling too stressed. I was talking to my brother about how scary it would be to be pg again after the MC and he said that at some point I'll just have to accept the fear and live with it, and that's part of what being a parent is about.

Although ok for him to say as his wife is pg for the 4th time and due 5 days before my due date Sad

We started SWI last week but it made me feel a bit anxious so think we're going to wait a little longer. Am going on holiday to Thailand in 2 weeks so maybe that will be a fresh start. Can't wait!

hadrian · 23/01/2011 09:45

Sorry the old witch got you Izzy. Have a huge glass of wine and get ready for lucky cycle 7. Life is long...

cep · 23/01/2011 11:29

hadrian i LOVE Thailand, where abouts are you going?

cep · 23/01/2011 11:33

i hasten to add from my post before that i read that info about the cm by the way, i didn't just randomly stick it in water to find out. Grin

hadrian · 23/01/2011 12:32

Hi cep we are going to Chiang Mai for 5 days, then to an island called Koh Lanta for a week with a couple of days in Bangkok at the end. Does that sound fun? I've never been to Thailand before, well only to Bangkok, so planning the trip was a bit of guesswork. Got any tips?

Choccybick · 23/01/2011 12:50

Hi Ladies

I´ve been really absent here the last couple of weeks. Everyday life is back to normal, busy at work and also I´ve been trying to concentrate all my efforts on losing weight and not TTC.
Okay - we did have a rather fun month and Ive been trying to be laid back about everything.

Today is day 27 - my AF due date.......so far no sign so I went off to the bathroom to POAS five mins ago-and she has arrived.
Actually for the first time in 6 months i am actually pleased she has arrived.
I really want to lose weight. I hear somewhere on tv your chances of conceiving are 14 times lower when overweight. ......??? crikey.

So AF is here and I´m happy. WTF????

I hope you understand that Im not about so much. I will pop in from week to week but i think this whole daily fretting about ttc is making me slightly crazy and thats why Ive not been around so much lately.
Those of you who are on fb and connected with me and read my blog so far know how serious im taking the weight loss thing.
Im starting some sport courses this next week.
Heres hoping that when i shed a good lot of the flab in half a year or so things might look differently. It just also wouldnt be healthy getting preggers in this state. If it happens on the way then Im fine with it, but i doubt it will happen.

Sorry - for me-me-me post. I just havent read over the posts yet.

I´m not leaving you lovely bunch. Just wanted to explain why I´ve turned into a rare guest.

Hope everyone is doing alright anyway. xx
Had a big girls day and night last night. 7 of us got through endless bottles of champers, wine, prosecco .....DH is away for a few days so i made the most and had some special girlfriends around. my head is a bit funny this morning.

think i better go for a walk and get some fresh air.

Hugs to all you lovelies. xx

ZamMummyInGabs · 23/01/2011 12:58

Bleurgh. AF arrived last night so symptom spotting all in vain - but LP increased to 9-10 days so that's a good thing.

BrownB · 23/01/2011 13:40

Thanks WizzyB. FYI - the last time I was on this thread, I was at cycle 16 or so, so I felt pretty messed up about that too. Back to work for me tomorrow. Deepest darkest joy...

MummyAbroad · 23/01/2011 13:46

Izz If it makes you feel any better I am on cycle 10 really, I just put my stats as being counted from post AS operation to make me feel less depressed about it!

chockybic Hi! We dont mind you popping in and out. You sound really enthused with the weight loss, thats great!

cep I have a great image of you in front of lots of test tubes experimenting with CMGrin

Hi lady B still a bit of fist shaking over here I am afraid. The lining measurement is an "indicator" that scar tissue has grown back. If the HSG results are clear I will breath a huge sigh of relief but until then cant get the bloody word "indicator" out of my head.

sorry about AF zam

OrangeGloss · 23/01/2011 14:41

Afternoon everyone, I hope everyone's keeping warm

Dachs I hope today is going a bit quicker. Try and limit google for your own sanity - easier said than done I know! I don't think you should be haddocked for testing early, maybe a couple of days with a view that it may be too early. Symptoms are sounding good, I hope they keep up!
Ladybee I hope your ds slept better last night. Pom bears are crisps which I actually like so much I don't buy as I'll eat them all
I missed it, does hairy have good news? Oh, I do hope so
Cep I hope things are going ok for you, glad he knows about saliva now too. I bought some of that stuff from Amazon (Proceive?) but DH complained it was too runny but very interesting, I didn't know that!
Brownb if not too late, I say eat the cake! Grin
((( Izzy ))) I really hope this month is your month
Hadrian sorry you're not getting more support from your brother. When I said I was worried 1st pg my MIL said it'll continue for the rest of my life! I suppose it's true, but doesn't help when you're feeling low. I LOVED Thailand Envy we did Bangkok then went south to the rainforest then Koh Tao, etc for islands and snorkeling
Choccy I'm so glad to hear you so positive, and good luck with the weight loss, I've read it really does make a difference. Of course we understand, we're here when you need us, and of course you can just lurk if you want too x
Zam sorry AF got you, but good news about LP, I've heard accupuncture helps, sorry if you already know that
Mummya when do you get the results? I hope they come back soon and give you good news
Nix if I don't see you before tomorrow my fx for your scan

Not much to report here, apart from lots of wind Blush Grin
It'll be weird going back to work tomorrow after such a long time off

loola2shus · 23/01/2011 15:13

Argghhhhhh its driving me mad! no af but temps dropped over last 6days and I'm really spotty and OPK neg(haven't got any Peesticks) I am 16dpo and normally 14cd luteal phase wtf?

Waves at windy Orange Grin

choccy good on you, I could do with losing a fair few stone, just can't get my head into it. Lost 2.5stone last year with SW and put all and more back on since pg/mc Sad

mummy when will you get your HSG results back?

zam good news on the extended luteal phase, sorry about af

hadrian have a lovely hol

cep worryingly someone must have experimented to find out the things ttc makes you do Grin

Nix good luck for tomorrow x

BrownB · 23/01/2011 15:21

Sorry to hear about your mc's hadrian and jiggle. Poo isn't it?

BrownB · 23/01/2011 15:40

In fact - poo bum shite all round.

cep · 23/01/2011 15:45

choccy we're here for you when you need us so don't worry about popping in and out. i really need to lose weight am about 6 st over weight, i had lost a st before getting pg but then gained nearly all of it again after mc.

mummya orange i know it's bit weird can't remember the website but it was actually quite interesting, i don't think i'd ever be able to use the glass again.

zam sorry af here.

nic good luck for tomorrow.

bee i like pombears to end up fighting for them with ds, just from the local shop.

dach hope you're doing ok today.

hadrian i could be here all day talking about thailand, i've actually only been once, (2 months before the sunami) but my uncle lived over there for years and is married to a thai, (not mail order and dodgey Grin) with 2 kids.
do you have the AA spiral guide?? i found it really useful, some nice restaurants in there. we went to a restaurant on the other side of the river, sat next to the river with a view of the lights of the city nice (i think it was Galae but i can't remember). Doi Suthep in chiang mai, is a must if you can get an excursion. We went to the elephant camp in chiang mai and had a ride on one of the elephants that was fun.
We went to a restaurant in Bangkok called cabbages and condoms (i know) it was actually really really nice, it's a chain to promote safe sex over there and when we went you came in downstairs there's a little shop selling novelty things with condoms on. a big bowl on the desk full of condoms that you can help yourself to. upstairs was where you ate, almost amongst the trees there were no walls, with loads of little fairy lights amongst the branches, food was wonderful.

basic stuff - If you go out in a taxi make sure it has it's meter on, if it hasn't ask them to put it on. And always know where you want to go street name, temple name etc. if you can, get one from the hotel.
Don't be surprised if they take you to a jewelry store first, they did with us once in bangkok (2 women travelling) gave us a drink of lemonade we just walked round not looking at anything in particular and then as we left they gave us a different car and driver who took us where we'd asked to go. This is very common so don't be too worried or angry the drivers get commision.

Always barter from markets. Don't pick anything up unless you plan to buy it eventually.

They don't like shows of emotion such as anger. no matter what always keep calm and don't shout at them. If you do have any problems(we didn't) they have tourist police who obviously specialise in tourists.

tourism is very important to them, they take crime toward tourist very serious. Just make sure you're sensible. My uncle once told me of these two women who went to a beach party in Patong, (it's a huge party people go from all over the country and world i think) They decided to go for a swim and left all their stuff, on the beach, bags, money passport etc on it's own, no surprise it was gone by the time they came back. Police response, well you shouldn't have been so stupid.

Just don't do anything you wouldn't think of at home in regards to your own safety.

don't show the bottom of your feet as they find that offensive e.g putting foot on other knee. and don't touch someone's head, e.g pat a child on head.

if go into a temple make sure your shoulders are covered and take your shoes off but they usually have signs can't remember if you can wear shorts or not.

The only other thing i can think of is to use deodarant but not anti persperant because you want to sweat to help keep you cool but you don't want to stink with it. It tends to be a little cooler out of Bangkok.

again it's just a case of common sense. I've probably made it sound worse than it'll feel.

Have a fantastic time. i am very Envy now have an urge to relook at the hol piccies and video.

Sorry to everyone for taking over.....again

cep · 23/01/2011 15:47

loola i know i can't go into toughts to much about it, otherwise i go down the lines of whose did they test etc. yuech.
