A safe place for everyone on the TTC after MC rollercoaster. Welcome and come in - virtual wine and chocolate for all, and lots of support and hand-holding until you get your BFP!

The thread moves fast but don't let that put you off - feel free to come along and stay to chat; or dip in and out with any questions.

If you want to join the stats, just add yourself to the list:

WTTC = waiting to TTC
UCL = usual cycle length

Good luck to all - here's hoping for lots of healthy, sticky BFPs by the end of the thread!

yrmotb Sad Confused. That is a headf**k. Sorry you're not getting any answers. I'm still hoping that it's a slow-burning bfp which will show up on Thursday xx

PinkIsACheeseAddict · 21/01/2011 08:07

YRMOTB :( :( :( what type of test are you using? Fingers crossed the BFP is still on its way!!

dachs sorry I am hopeless, I saw from izz's post that it's your due date, hope you're ok-big hugs xxxx

talking of izz how's things nice lady?

mummya sorry you had a disappointment yesterday :( is there a good chance that with another period it will be thicker next time?

Waves to Natalie sorry we made you feel like you were not welcome-definitely no cool gangs in here. How are you doing? The hormones are mad eh?

Best of luck for today orange I'll try and check for news with my phone under the table at work later today!! I'm feeling very hopeful that everything is going to be fine when they have a peek.

Hope you all have a great day xxx

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 21/01/2011 08:18

pink I think it's owl's due date today (blame the pg brain! Smile )

Things are a bit Confused here - 10/11 dpo (which is good for me!). Still spotting but no drastic temp plummet yet. This is not completely unusual for me - although spotting has gone on for longer and isn't really getting heavier as usual atm. I basically spent yesterday in Eeyore's Gloomy Place because of another month gone, but I'm feeling much more que sera sera about it all today - what else can you do?! [resigned emoticon] I would expect temps to drop tomorrow now and af to rock up sometime in the morning. So we'll see.

How's things with you? Has it sunk in yet?! Grin

OP posts:
Mamapower · 21/01/2011 08:32

yrmotb Booo! wtf is going on?!!! It must be driving you nuts, so sorry about that hon, guess there's still hope! Glad you're going to doc's for bloods. PS did you use a digi? Big higs xx

owlbooty · 21/01/2011 09:09

Thank you Izzy :) Lot of due dates this week; there was a bunch of us who all rocked up here about the same time.

Biscuitlady have you seen those Pombar crisps? They are shaped like this: Bear so I am considering finding some and doing a Pombar chart for the day Grin

YRMOTB buggeration and damnit. Tis completely not on for temps to be high and evil pee-stick to say no.

Orange excellent news on the barfing - that is perfect, perfect timing isn't it? Hope all goes very well indeed today for you x

Right; parents are coming to visit this afternoon so I need to try and tidy up - house looks like bombsite. Will check on you all later :)

lily06 · 21/01/2011 09:27

Good morning to everyone.

Good luck Orange, fx for your scan today.

How do I get added to the list you have please?

OrangeGloss · 21/01/2011 09:30

Thanks everyone for thinking of me, I measure between 7-8 weeks and a bean with a heartbeat Grin still not sunk in, I was in tears in the scan and it was the same sonographer as last time who said it had failed and she seemed just as shocked as I was

I now have to book in with MW, am still taking a day at a time though until at least 12 week scan

Mummya 6mm is only a bit under 'normal' and nothing about pg seems normal to me anyway. I hope you're not googling too much
YRMOTB last time I was 10 days late when I got a BFP, I really hope it's just still developing
Izzy sorry to hear that but your temps are still a good sign?
Dachs sorry I didn't realise it was your due date :( I hope you're keeping ok and hopefully you will have some good news soon x
Natalie this thread goes so fast sometimes that comments or people get missed, it took me a while to get used to

lily06 · 21/01/2011 09:34

Woo hoo - so pleased for you Grin

youremindmeofthebabe · 21/01/2011 09:39

Hurrah orange that's fab! Grin excellent news.

That was a digi folks. I have a stoopid body.

Glad temps ok izz

youremindmeofthebabe · 21/01/2011 09:41

owl sorry for duedate. Fx it won't be too bad, and tomorrow you can look forwards (((())))

HongKongBaby · 21/01/2011 09:43

Orange yay! Fantastic news. Grin

Mummya first of all may I say I like your parenting style (DD currently eating chicken nuggets in front of Mickey Mouse Clubhouse whilst I type this [bad mother emoticon]) Secondly, sorry you didn't quite get the result you hoped for, hope you get some reassurance very soon.

Izzy sorry it looks like AF is on the way.

A&R sorry she got you. When are you returning from Oz? Holiday is a good time for baby making...

YRMOTB what an upsetting situation for you. Sorry about the BFN. I hope docs can let you know what's going on a.s.a.p.

Pink you have reminded me how rude people in London can be, thank you! Living abroad sometimes I see UK through rose tinted spectacles and get homesick so a reality check is good from time to time.

Dachs hugs to you on your due date.

So far so good here. In previous pregnancies have had lots of bleeding so am on edge waiting for it to start. Full knicker check alert! Tomorrow going to acupuncture and to OBGYN who I think wants to put me on progesterone straight away.

youremindmeofthebabe · 21/01/2011 09:51

Ha. Some pink cm here. A little backache too.

OrangeGloss · 21/01/2011 09:53

Thanks HKbaby I noticed you said acupuncture, mine said she can't treat me now I'm pg until about 38 weeks. Maybe it's a different theory over there Hmm

Mamapower · 21/01/2011 10:22

Mummy sorry scan wasn't as you'd hoped, roll on Monday and those experts opinions.

Biscuit bless ya... you just confused us with your cheeky name change that's all Grin c'mon, pull up a chair and get comfy Smile

Owlthinking of you on your dd, hugs Smile

I think I've missed some posts somewhere along the line... as there are more dd's coming up, so big hugs to you all Smile

Hoooooray for Orange Bean Grin Grin, this one is a sticker hon, now please please please, try and stop stressing and relax Smile

PinkIsACheeseAddict · 21/01/2011 10:23

Just a quickie-orange that is wonderful news and hopefully has taught the sonographer something too. You need another acupuncturist-mine is continuing to treat me, allegedly working on improving blood production, calming my mind and holding the embryo... She's part of the fertility network or something similar so prob worth googling for a specialist. Xx

PinkIsACheeseAddict · 21/01/2011 10:27

'acupuncture fertility network'

youremindmeofthebabe · 21/01/2011 10:27

mummya sorry I missed that in self obsessed posting. How are you? It's not far off 8 mm is it. As pink says we all know that "normal" has a vast range, whens hsg result in? (())

HongKongBaby · 21/01/2011 10:46

Pink am glad your acupuncturist is continuing treating you. Mine assures me it will help support the pregnancy and prevent miscarriage. I have to say it has been brilliant and I have a lot of faith in it. Cycle before I started was 39 days, first one with acu 34 days and this one if I hadn't conceived would have been 32 days. Its just remarkable and a mystery how it works!

DachshundsWantPuppies · 21/01/2011 10:47

orange YAY! So pleased for you. :)

Thanks for all the hugs guys but my due date is actually 11 March - it was owl's today not mine

At work so this is only a quick one, but just wanted to see how orange was doing

Catch up properly later

Chloe55 · 21/01/2011 11:19

Just a quickie to say fab news Orange.

My RL friend gave birth yesterday, so pleased for her but have also spent most of the morning in tears Blush Good job I am not going anywhere.

lily06 · 21/01/2011 11:28

Chloe55 hope you are ok, its perfectly natural to feel like that IMHO. Our next door neighbour had a baby just before xmas and I made DH go round with their card and present.

Wombat33 · 21/01/2011 11:29

Hello lovelies! Just a quick one to say yey for Orange!! What fab news!!

mummya I'm sorry it wasn't the 8mm you were hoping for but it's a huge improvement on pre-op isn't it? And as Orange says - there's a huge range of normal in all things pg-related. Here's hoping it gets thicker next cycle or is sufficient as it is!

Izz I have a really good feeling about you. Have done for a couple of days. Maybe not this cycle but I'm keeping everything crossed you're going to be one of the next x

YRMOTB grrr! how annoying!!! I'm still hoping for you though I hope you get an answer soon because the waiting and not knowing must be soo furstrating!

Velvet still got the sussies on for you at the weekend.

Owl hugs for your dd and have fun with your folks. Do they know about the pg or is this visit going to be sharing your good news after your scan?

HKB, Pink I've always wondered about accu. Terrified of needles so never had the courage to try it but glad it's working for you.

Cep big hugs lovely. We all go through rough patches with our DHs, esp with MC & TTC puts on loads of pressure. Take heart, it's not just you and it will get better.

Dachs hope you are managing to stay (relatively) calm and relaxed despite work. I'm hoping the signs are good for you xxx

A&R sorry she got you but hope you are enjoying your hols! Steak on the beach sounds ace!

Waves to Hadrian, Natalie/biscuit, Lily, Mamap, tigger, emoo, Chloe, Wellie and anyone else around today!

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 21/01/2011 11:31

Fantastic news orange !!!! Grin Grin Grin

I second what pink said about the acupuncture - mine tells me that it can be really beneficial in pg, can help with morning sickness, help prevent mc and other stuff. Ask around x

OP posts:
Wombat33 · 21/01/2011 11:40

x-posts Chloe big hugs xxx As Lily says, it's totally normal.

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 21/01/2011 12:18

Awww wombat thanks that's really sweet! x

See, it's just too hard to stay in Eeyore's Gloomy Place with you lot around being lovely and positive!! Smile

Big (((hugs))) for Chloe it's perfectly normal - I had a really bad time around October/November with about 7 birth announcements in the space of a month and it was really hard. I think it does get easier though as time goes on, and as someone wiser than me said on here: I'm not getting too jealous because I don't want their baby, I want my own. x
