A safe place for everyone on the TTC after MC rollercoaster. Welcome and come in - virtual wine and chocolate for all, and lots of support and hand-holding until you get your BFP!

The thread moves fast but don't let that put you off - feel free to come along and stay to chat; or dip in and out with any questions.

If you want to join the stats, just add yourself to the list:

WTTC = waiting to TTC
UCL = usual cycle length

Good luck to all - here's hoping for lots of healthy, sticky BFPs by the end of the thread!

Awww wombat thanks that's really sweet! x

See, it's just too hard to stay in Eeyore's Gloomy Place with you lot around being lovely and positive!! Smile

Big (((hugs))) for Chloe it's perfectly normal - I had a really bad time around October/November with about 7 birth announcements in the space of a month and it was really hard. I think it does get easier though as time goes on, and as someone wiser than me said on here: I'm not getting too jealous because I don't want their baby, I want my own. x

DachshundsWantPuppies · 21/01/2011 12:35

Someone at work has just announced they are pregnany. I'm thrilled for her as this is a natural pg and she had to have ovulation drugs for her first, but it really feels like the supple of BFPs is running out and that this IVF won't work for me. I know that's silly, but if Izzy is vacating Eeyore's Gloomy Place I might move in there for a while

DachshundsWantPuppies · 21/01/2011 12:36

or even pregnant and supply - pesky typos!

youremindmeofthebabe · 21/01/2011 12:42

dachs repeat after me, "there is no finite number of BFP's" SmileSee pink's data earlier. I know it feels like it though. Hugs. My friend is coming round later who has got pg by accident just after her mat leave has finished. Jealous, moi?? You can't move into the gloomy place yet, there's a queue Grin

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 21/01/2011 12:50

yrmotb and dachs Eeyore's Gloomy Place has plenty of room for all who need it. We can chant together about pink's poisson distribution and how there isn't a finite number of bfps in the world x

hi all,

it's quite hard to feel sorry for myself with you lot buzzing abt being so positive. :o so pleased to hear the good orange news! i can wait to join in on on the peeing on sticks with intent, so to all those who are, pee on one for me! dachs i hope you're not doing all of this boob prodding at work - once my dh sid at the end of dinner that i'd been prodding all the way through, and i didn't even know - made me very pranoid that i was prodding without realising next to the pork chops in tesco!

passes round a plate of leomon loaf cake but realises she ate it all for breakfast...so passes round some cheese instead :)

owl Bear Bear Bear Bear love the idea of pom bear charts, but those crisps aren't very nice, will stick to munching teddies so the chart can still look pretty.

happy friday all!

p.s. i had the 1st dose of miso-something for my mmc yesterday and apparently can't drink. that's rubbish, it's a friday!!!

PinkIsACheeseAddict · 21/01/2011 13:07

Hugs for dacha and izzy it sucks having pregnancy announcements eh? Mr Poisson is reallyfamous and doesn't lie so I reckon he can be relied upon.

wombie I promise youd never know they are needles, They are so fine they look like thin wires, and when they go in, it's not like an injection, all you can feel is tapping as she taps them in. HK same here about cycles, my lady worked miracles on my cycle-down from 38 days to the last one being 28 days with ov on day 14-I would recommend it/my lady to anyone in London

Waiting for preg hormone results back, apparently they were ok yest so just checking still going up. Can't concentrate at work Confused

PinkIsACheeseAddict · 21/01/2011 13:20

Hey biscuit that sucks, not being able to drink :( hopefully there's no restrictions on eating pizza/curry/chocolate. Hope the medication stage is over v quick for you. I don't like pom bear either.

I've put a plate of cheese and pineapple sticks and black forest gateau on the side-80s themed naughty snacks all round this afternoon!

lily06 · 21/01/2011 13:23

Sorry you can't drink, biscuit, you'll have to make up for it with chocolate and junk food I guess! Hope you are ok.

lily06 · 21/01/2011 13:24

Oops, x-post with pink - see, we must be right.

BiscuitChart · 21/01/2011 13:42

lily and pink - have looked on NHS website, junkfood and curry allowed Wink dh says he'll make me pizza tonight, whoop :o

lily06 · 21/01/2011 13:47

Ooh that's ok then - sounds like a plan! I'm not feeling very motivated today. AF is due any day, and then I can start clomid....but when!!!! Trying to last out til 2pm before I eat the wispa that's sitting here tormenting me - worrying when that is today's highlight Blush

tigger15 · 21/01/2011 14:06

Orange I'm so happy for you. I really hope the next bit is easier.

Pink apparate is from Harry Potter. Maybe you can spend your tube journeys reading that and if anyone gets grump carefully drop volumes 4-7 on them as they're all pretty heavy Grin.

Waves to everyone else - have a good w/end!

wellieboots · 21/01/2011 14:16

Sorry in a rush as this move is getting ever closer and I have still done nothing - or at least I've done loads but it still looks like I've done nothing if that makes sense? Confused

Thanks for the reassurance re AF - still waiting but we shall see...

And a HUGE congrats to orange - have been thinking about you.

Waves to everyone else - enjoy your weekend!

MummyAbroad · 21/01/2011 14:43

orange pheeeeeeeeeew! Thats the best news ever.GrinGrinGrin You have a little sticky bean in there with a pumping heatbeat!! congratulations!!!

Izzy glad the spotting didnt turn into AF. I am putting suspenders on for you.Grin

lily to add yourself to the list, just copy and paste it and add yourself in (and anyone else who wants to) If its the next day then change everyones cycle days to one more.

CD = CYCLE DAY
UCL = USUAL CYCLE LENGTH
TTC = TRYING TO CONCEIVE
WTTC = WAITING TO TTC

owl due date hugs. Hope that this is the beginning of your recovery as it was for me. xxx

pink I feel for you on the waiting for results thing. Good luck

Thanks for all your support. For those asking, the issue with the lining is that it is the opinion of some, but not all AS specialists, that having a thin lining puts you at greater risk of developing problems with the placenta (accreta, increta, previa) in a future pregnancy. There are lots of women on the AS board who have conceived and had uncomplicated pregnancies with thin linings though, so its certainly not definite. I was just hoping for a good result so that I could feel more positive about the upcoming HSG results (this should show if there is still scar tissue preventing the lining from growing or not) I will get these results sometime next week, tues maybe? I guess I just have to sweat it out till then and deal with the news when I get it.

biscuit hope the miso-whatsit works for you. I dont think there is anyone on MN remembers how to say that word Smile

nickstermum · 21/01/2011 14:54

Fab news orange xxxx

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 21/01/2011 14:59

mummya the spotting hasn't turned into af yet - it will, always does, so don't waste those suspenders on me this month!!!!

Am glad the lining thing isn't conclusive, but sorry you've not had the reassurance you want and have to wait till Tuesday - going to be a long weekend for you, I guess...fx for a good result next week x

Oooh just remembered there is some good news chez izz - I lost 2.5 lb this week!!! [halo emoticon]

owlbooty · 21/01/2011 15:41

Orange that is fecking marvellous my lovely, I am doing a little dance in my seat :) :) :)

Have a wonderful relaxed evening and the best night's sleep in weeks - I bet you will.

Womble I told parents a couple of weeks ago but today they got to see the scan pictures so they were v.excited :)

I do like this poisson distribution thingy even though I have no idea what it is. It's just the fact I'm imagining it as a lot of fish flinging which we do rather well in here. Dachs how about a large comfy sofa with waiters bearing frshly squeezed non-alcoholic cocktails instead of the gloomy corner?

DachshundsWantPuppies · 21/01/2011 15:45

depends how good looking the waiters are ;)

katherine2008 · 21/01/2011 15:50

woo hoo Orange - so happy what a happy day. ladies - i have just had a smilee on my OPK. After everything last year and my ERPC on 16.12. I am chuffed to bits. I have seen the sperm meets egg plan - so is it babydancing EVERY night for the next 3 nights - what does everyone else do?! Advice appreciated!! Thanking you.

jigglebum · 21/01/2011 17:09

HI Ladies. Struggle to keep up with this thread but wanted to say I am really pleased for you Orange

Nothing really to report here. Have kind of resumed ttc but still in the WTF cycle so not sure when is a good time this month and after a year of OPKs and SWI I am just trying to relax and see what happens (for a couple of months anyway)

katherine think it may depend on your age and stamina of your DH. We generally go for every other day to allow the swimmers to regenerate a bit more! But ten years ago it would have been different! (we are 34+)

cep · 21/01/2011 17:31

evening all hope you're all ok.

orange that's fantastic news. so pleased for you. did they give you any piccies??

owl i hope you're ok.

mummya sorry it wasn't as think as you were hoping.

izzy hope it doesn't turn up. and welldone on the 2.5 lbs, i seem to be struggling this week, and last to be honest.

ooh pizza, haven't had pizza in ages. enjoy biscuit

katherine2008 do what ever's ok for you and dp i do it when i can get it.

wombat how'd the test go today? i know you don't get the results again till tuesday is it??

aandr sorry she's here.

wellie hope you manage to get everything sorted.

dach as others have said there are pregnancies out there for everyone.

as far as i'm concerned, had another disturbed morning so no idea if temp accurate or not, a little circle on ff again so don't know when it'll be able to predict ov. don't know if i'm reading cm correctly. does anyone know once eggwhite finished does it go straight back to sticky or does it go through the other types such as creamy, watery again.

I had a kind of conversation with dh last night, a bit difficult as he picked cheapy pub to go to, not a problem but is busy, i just explained i didn't want it to feel unerotic (if that's a word) and for him to feel the pressure so i just wanted to know if he wanted to be informed or jumped on. he said semi informed but when i asked how can you be semi informed he didn't really explain so i asked again and got "can we just stop talking about it" i can't win either way, so i'll settle for telling him the week and just jumping on him when i need to.

again sorry if i've missed anyone.

Velvetcu · 21/01/2011 17:58

Just popped on to update - at least its not such a big fall to the bottom any more!!

YRMOTB sorry about the bfn
