A safe place for everyone on the TTC after MC rollercoaster. Welcome and come in - virtual wine and chocolate for all, and lots of support and hand-holding until you get your BFP!

The thread moves fast but don't let that put you off - feel free to come along and stay to chat; or dip in and out with any questions.

If you want to join the stats, just add yourself to the list:

WTTC = waiting to TTC
UCL = usual cycle length

Good luck to all - here's hoping for lots of healthy, sticky BFPs by the end of the thread!

youremindmeofthebabe · 20/01/2011 16:40

Alright Ta, my love. Just procrastinating at work. You ok?

owlbooty · 20/01/2011 16:42

cep not sure he's gonna like this but saliva is apparently rather unfriendly to swimmers...

I am also procrastinating at work Grin

MummyAbroad · 20/01/2011 16:49

cep couldnt see your chart, did you do the bit where you ADD chart?

I havent had to resort to BJ's. I think because its normally me not wanting to have sex (didnt want to when pregnant, then mc'd for months, then felt depressed with infertility etc) so DH is just grateful for what he gets now! Blush I think oral sex (for both people) is only fun if the person giving is happy to give, it shouldnt be bargained for.

Someone else on here (who was it?) had a deadline from DH, but she told her DH that every month he didnt play ball meant the deadline got extended by a month. Smart lady methinksSmile .

YRMOTB Glad we have distracted you for moment Grin

cep · 20/01/2011 16:50

owl typical, story of my life. Smile

yrmotb not too bad, just a bit frustrated i seem to have one of the few husbands who are not eager for sex. and a bit frustrated that my ff chart isn't miraculously filled with lots of helpful data already. Grin it's only my first cycle so am unsure what my body is doing at the mo and it makes me feel so useless not knowing.

MummyAbroad · 20/01/2011 16:51

I am procrastinating at home Grin

duh i think i forgot to highlight it the last time. Blush is it working now??

that was me before i feel pg last year, but not sure how to handle it if he can't actually goal, it's not as though he didn't try. That's the thing we have periods where we don't have it for months and he's not bothered. (pre ttc)

MummyAbroad · 20/01/2011 16:56

cep now I can see your chart. Its crunch time isnt it? I reckon you could ov today or tomorrow.

cep · 20/01/2011 16:57

meant to say am at home watching how to train your dragon for about the 3rd time this afternoon, with the ds winding the dog up and vice versa.

cep · 20/01/2011 16:59

yeay it worked Grin it's the little things.

i'm hoping that temps will show something over the next couple of days, i'm just impatient i want all the info now.

whats the odds of getting pg oving 2 days after sex???

cep its a tough one, I am a few months down the road from you and things have got much better. I think most women on here do exactly the same, loads of pressure on DH in the beginning and then they realise that doesnt work and try something else. I think its instinctive to want to share everything your are going through with your partner, but I believe the pressure really is counterproductive to a good sex life. Take the pressure off. Tell him you are not that bothered, fake indifference, and then seduce him like you used to when you first met. Grin As long as he thinks you want him because he is him, it will be great sex. If he thinks "you only want his sperm to make a baby" (I have been accused of this a lot ) then it can cause trouble in the bedroom.

Have you thought about planning a weekend away or night out?

MummyAbroad · 20/01/2011 17:03

x posts again

cep very good odds Grin

MummyAbroad · 20/01/2011 17:07

I am on self imposed housebound because its 30 degrees outside and I cant be bothered to get all hot and sweaty. DS is watching Mickey Mouse on a loop Cant get motivated to do anything much except wait for it to be 3.30pm so I can go and have my scan.

Chloe55 · 20/01/2011 17:13

It's bloody freezing here!!

cep · 20/01/2011 17:19

i've told him i want to go out tonight as i've had a really bad morning at work, but we'll have ds with us. can't afford to go away for weekend, plus we have dds at weekends.

i had to laugh at him the other day cause he complained that i wasn't romantic. (this from mr oh so not romantic himself) i told him that before when i tried to be romantic he turned me down. i'll have a chat with him tonight and see how it goes. Thanks mummya

i hope so cause i don't think i'll get it again any time soon. Sad

cep · 20/01/2011 17:20

and here chloe where abouts are u? i have curtains closed, heating on and door closed to keep the heat in the living room.

Chloe55 · 20/01/2011 17:30

Yorkshire Cep, I too have curtains closed, heating on big fluffy slippers attached to my freezing feet!

Do you have anyone nearby who could babysit - sounds like you both need a good old chat and get all your feelings out in the open.

OrangeGloss · 20/01/2011 17:31

Cep I hope your chat goes well tonight. I went off sex after mc, so I think DH was just so pleased to be getting it again he wanted to make the most of it. Having said that we haven't done it since NY when I had that first bleed [slightly guilty emoticon]

Mummya I hope your scan goes well, I think I missed a few pages, is it to get the all clear before SWI?

Owl sorry, did you have a scan this week? How did it go?

The EPU called, and are letting me come in at 8am tomorrow! They wouldn't change at first as they thought my previous scan was last week.
No more bleeding am sat on sofa eating chocolate and watching Star Trek Blush

cep · 20/01/2011 17:44

i love yorkshire. i used to live in haxby when i was younger. love robin hoods bay and Whitby.

noone that i'd want to make put him to bed. Dh's mother is greek and is over there at the mo. Mine lives to far away.

orange i think he'd understand. fx for tomorrow, glad they're seeing you early.

mummya what time's your scan today??

Mamapower · 20/01/2011 17:44

Wow, a lot of chatter on here this afy Grin

I had missed some stuff there, sorry mummy how annoying that you had conflicting messages. Hope all goes well with the scan... keep us posted.

PinkIsACheeseAddict · 20/01/2011 17:54

Hello girlies

I'm really glad you've got a scan booked in orange-I so hope it shows everything is as it should be and a happy little bean.

I would definitely second peoples opinions about keeping schtum about opk's-better to use your allure and make them think they're not being used Grin my poor DH is a bit sad now because I've gone right off the idea at the mo....

mummya hope the scan goes really well tomorrow. Sorry about conflicting messages, I think you're doing the right thing.

How's everyone's positive thinking going today?? I found the most amazing hippy dippy shop in London (the nutri centre on park crescent) and have bought a load of meditation CDs-am gonna put them on my iPhone so can put my train journeys to good use!! Need to block out everyone else-I had "what the f**k is your problem" yelled in my face this morning because my leg went too close to someone else's!! It took a lot of effort not to ask him exactly what his problem was, tiny penis or something but decided to go with "oh sorry" instead to avoid being stabbed or something.... Confused London is so grim...

Have a lovely evening all! Xx

Oooh he sounds delightful Pink Hmm think I will just be grateful for my very cold but very friendly ey by gum Yorkshire Grin (No offence to any other counties obviously!)

MummyA - hope the scan goes well for you today.

[ow ow ow, hot tea hot tea] glad they have booked you in early doors orange, hope you get the answers you want tomorrow.

MummyAbroad · 20/01/2011 18:33

orange thats brilliant that you are getting scanned!

Yes, this scan is one of two checks I am supposed to do before TTC. I hope it shows that my endometrium has grown to a nice thick fluffy 8mm or more.

cep Scan is at 4.30pm (10.30pm your time)

The other check is the HSG, results are being flown to the states for scrutiny. However, I have already started TTC this month because there is a lot of controversy about how you know when its safe to TTC, and my London doc said it was OK (he is the one who did the surgery)

Looking at my chart though (I now reckon I ov'd on Tuesday, so its been more like TTC-lite anyway this month. A gentle start reflecting my hesitancy I think Grin

Pink what an arsehole! Well done you for not rising to it. Your positivity CD's are obviously working already! xx

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 20/01/2011 18:36

mummya definite ov there!! All the best for the scan chica x

orange got everything crossed for you tomorrow, hope you manage to chill out a bit tonight x
