A safe place for everyone on the TTC after MC rollercoaster. Welcome and come in - virtual wine and chocolate for all, and lots of support and hand-holding until you get your BFP!

The thread moves fast but don't let that put you off - feel free to come along and stay to chat; or dip in and out with any questions.

If you want to join the stats, just add yourself to the list:

WTTC = waiting to TTC
UCL = usual cycle length

Good luck to all - here's hoping for lots of healthy, sticky BFPs by the end of the thread!

Orange I know it's a bit of a treck but have you tried m.u.m.s for a scan they're in solihull, west midlands. I am really Angry for you. big hugs xxx

Chloe55 · 20/01/2011 10:12

Orange - if you turn up at a&e this morning they might fit you in for a scan at the hospital today? I went in early hours of sun morning and they said that if it had been a week day they would scan me but as it was i ahd to wait til after the weekend. I know how hard it is to wait without knowing. Sad

owlbooty · 20/01/2011 10:19

Orange so sorry you're having such a shitty time - and what a thoughtless thing for the nurse to say! Hope you manage to find yourself a scan today.

I had a natural mc and the cramps were horrendous - if you're not getting the cramps then fingers crossed it's just a bit of random bleeding. Hope you get some answers very soon. x

Wombat33 · 20/01/2011 10:25

Just a quick one to send lots of hugs to Orange. I'm no expert either but Ldaybee's theory sounds highly plausible to me. Good luck trying to get a scan for today xxx

yrmotb I'm keeping everything crossed for you too!! Suspenders on!

OrangeGloss · 20/01/2011 10:30

Thanks everyone, and Mamap I've managed a scan at 12 tomorrow where you suggested, so feel happy that at least I'll know before the weekend

Still waiting for hospital to ring back, but now I have a scan booked I'm not that bothered :)

HongKongBaby · 20/01/2011 10:48

Just wanted to pop in and send big hugs to Orange. What a stressful time for you. So glad you have got a scan tomorrow. With my successful pregnancy I had lots of bleeding and scans just about every week, without them I would have gone mental with worry.

YRMOTB fingers x'd for you for tomorrow.

Cep likewise have not always managed quite enough 'action'! In our case, we are both quite old and quite knackered most of the time.... Last cycle I made the mistake of letting DH know when had got positive OPK and he then felt under too much pressure and could not perform at all. This cycle kept my mouth firmly shut on that one!

Velvet I hope you are okay.

Wombat how are you?

Tigger congratulations!

Sending out positive vibes to anyone out there feeling a bit Sad after recent run of BFPs. Hoping and praying you all get yours very soon.

Wombat33 · 20/01/2011 10:52

Shoot! Forgot to say CONGRATUALTIONS to Tigger that's fantastic news!!! Grin [Grin Grin

HK I'm doing okay thanks. Currently mentalling on a bearable level rather than my losing the plot mentalling of last week! Blush Another blood test tomorrow.

Mamapower · 20/01/2011 12:17

Orange brilliant! I am booked in there for a 7 week scan as I massively want some reassurance. I have a couple of friends who have been in there for scans when bleeding and I have heard nothing but good things about them, staff and service alike. Be thinking about you tomorrow toots xxx

Back in 5 to catch up properly with you all.

wellieboots · 20/01/2011 12:38

((orange)) - thinking of you and hoping that 12 tomorrow comes super quick and you will get some news.

Congrats tigger on your bfp!!!

I am still waiting for AF - getrting pains and keep thinking it's coming but no sign yet. Getting v frustrated with the whole thing as I just want to feel that my body can do something right Hmm

I'm now at 5 and a half weeks since erpc, but I did bleed for almost 3 weeks after so Prob nohting to be worried about yet.

Waves to everyone else!

Mamapower · 20/01/2011 13:04

Thanks for the reassurance lady this pg after mc lark is bloomin roller coaster of emotions and paranoia!!

Wombat hope the bloods go well.

Izzy how you doing? Could it have just been spotting/implantation as opposed to af rocking up???

HK that was a really nice thing to say and I was thinking yesterday that if I wasn't one of the lucky recent bfp's I'd be having a massive melt down.. I am joining HK in hoping and wishing for you all your own bean very very soon!

yrmotb pee early tomorrow morning please, I'm starting to ache keeping everything crossed for you Grin

cep Grin at snoring antics!! Sorry you didn't get a reliable temp reading, swi just in case (any excuse Wink ) and start again tomorrow!

MummyAbroad · 20/01/2011 13:16

orange Angry at the nurse. How crap to dish out generic advice without knowing anything about your case! I think LadyB explanation is a good one. Since discovering the whole AS thing, I have realised how much bleeding goes on in normal pregnancies without there being anything wrong. AS women have a higher tendency to bleed (NOT that you have AS!!!) so I fully expect to go through this if when I get pregnant. Hope you get lovely nurses and good news at your scan tomorrow. xxx

wellie I feel for you, the waiting is awful, but if you have done 5 and half weeks it shouldnt be too much longer. The "average" is 4-7. The minimum it could be is 20 days since you completely stopped bleeding.

Hi mamaP The american consultant has said that we shouldnt TTC until further checks. These are in process, but I am TTC anyway, because the English guy said it WAS ok. I am getting a scan to check lining growth today, which is one the checks and HSG results are in the post to USA which is the other, should hear back next week (post takes 4/5 days)

LadyB I think you were right, looks like I did ov Now I am going to spend the next two weeks analysing this and trying to work out when!

cep · 20/01/2011 14:55

orange that's disgusting, for the nurse to make such an offcuff comment without knowing all your details.
Have you heard back from the hosp?? glad you managed to get one for tomorrow.

HK glad it's not just me then. He's not particularly old only 37 but we had to have a 5 day gap this time, admittedly he has had a cold, but he never used to have these problems only a couple of years ago. He want's me to be more specific as to when we need to dtd but considering i'm unsure of my cycles at the moment that's rather difficult.

mamap it didn't help that he'd been woken up by what he thought was a baby crying, next door is expecting a baby within the next few weeks and he thought she must have given birth early, but she seems to have gone to work today so i don't think so. He reckons he was lying there for a little while listening to it cry????? he must have had a dream, i wonder if that should be telling me something.

mummya doesn't ff tell you when you ov'd by the info you put on it???

cep · 20/01/2011 15:02

meant to say mamap we swi last night so wouldn't be able to tonight.

MummyAbroad · 20/01/2011 15:15

Hi cep FF is no use this month because I had a cold right around ov time. I marked "fever" and it automatically discards the temps on those days (all high) Its impossible to know if the high temps were fever or progesterone rise. I think I ov'd day 15 though judging from cervix, but this is only a secondary sign. FF wont give me the magic lines until I have had three high temps. Off to get scanned this afternoon and that should confirm that I have o'vd.

Why do you need to leave 5 days between SWI (if you dont mind me asking?) Have you thought about telling DH that you cant predict ov to the day, but you can let him know what week he should be "prepared for action"Grin I think its nice that he asked, I wish my DH would be more interested!

cep · 20/01/2011 15:25

mummya it gave me a circle for this morning, but i don't think it's disregarded it. so if i get another high temp tomorrow it should tell me if i've ov'd?? once i'm used to it i'll be alright it's cause i've only put 3 days of temps on and don't know what i'm doing yet.

he just wasn't able to provide, he got to the attack position as it were but couldn't get the goal. fri succesful, sunday gave up, tuesday gave up wednesday succesful. he says he just can't do it that often anymore, i'm hoping it's just cause he had the cold. I'm really hoping i did ov today otherwise i am out of luck.
It wasn't him taking an interest unfortunately but moaning cause i'd made him try too much in such a short space of time. i asked if he wanted to have fun tomorrow i got told to pretty much sod off.

MummyAbroad · 20/01/2011 15:37

cep I went through a patch of this with DH. I told him EVERY detail about OPK's/temps etc, and once phoned him up at work and asked him if he wanted to come home at lunch time because I was ovulatingBlush. He did and we tried and as you said there was "no goal". I think I turned what could have been a sexy situation into a horrible science experiment. Its been a few months since then (we had to stop SWI while I had treatment) and this time I am starting a clean slate and different approach. I am not sharing ANY of my obsessive OPK/temp shenanigans (thats what you lot are for Grin) and am doing my best to make sex spontaneous and fun for MY sake as well as his. Why not have a chat with him and say "you know you are right, this baby making is taking all the fun out of sex, lets just concentrate on us both enjoying it again," (optional) "I'll let you know when the crucial week is but apart from that lets not pressure ourselves "

You can of course do your best to seduce him when you think the days are right and hopefully he wont feel pressured and will be able to deliver.

Dont underestimate what a horrible effect pressure has. Think how you would feel if someone told you that you HAD to orgasm to make a baby, wouldnt it throw you a bit?

MummyAbroad · 20/01/2011 15:40

cep sorry re: FF, the circles arent disregarded they just tell you that maybe the temp is unreliable because it was taken at a different time (delete the time information and the circle will disappear) Disregarded ones are missing completely from the chart. Here is mine, want to share yours?

Go to SHARING on left hand side, then HOME PAGE SETUP, scroll down, add chart scroll back up and copy and paste the URL which should look like www.fertilityfriend.com/home/30b552

cep · 20/01/2011 15:57

www.fertilityfriend.com/home/333715

mummya like i said i've only done 3 days temps so doesn't make much sense at the mo. Is that why you have a dot on it's own??

The pressure doesn't help and i should stop talking to him about it all tbh. he was taking the mick out of me last night for commenting about the baileys and "why are you telling them about everything in your life" I told him i could either tell you lovely ladies or him, not surprisingly he shut up.

when he moans about the pressure i tell him that he's applying the pressure in the first place cause he's insisting on the time limit. get rid of that and i wouldn't need to apply pressure on him, but he wouldn't. but you're right i need to do it in a more seductive manner. he just says he's gone off sex regardless cause he's working so hard and that if i want him to reach the goal i'll need to give him a bj every time. (he reckons thats normal by the way)he told me to ask on here about how many women have to do this everytime.

cep · 20/01/2011 15:59

www.fertilityfriend.com/home/333715

did that work?

youremindmeofthebabe · 20/01/2011 16:09

Cep I am loving the term "attack position" !!

Chloe55 · 20/01/2011 16:17

Cep - dh gets a bj on prob about 1 in 4 sessions yet I regularly get oral pleasure Blush, I struggle to climax without it though so it's either he gives me it or it's crap sex! Grin I have a friend who's dh never gives her it but she has to always give bjs, I think it's really Sad

cep · 20/01/2011 16:26

yrmotb i'm daft aren't i, we talk about cm and other details but i'm embarrassed to talk more specifically about the c*m word. Blush

chloe55 mine refuses to orally pleasure me anymore, he used to. i suffer with discharge (sorry tmi) and bath often obviously and it never bothered him after i'd had a bath but now uses it as an excuse not to do it. i have to play with him everytime we're in bed watching tv, and now says he's going to need one everytime if i was a result. it really Angry me off.

cep · 20/01/2011 16:27

want not was

youremindmeofthebabe · 20/01/2011 16:28

It sounds much more eloquent than hard-on or stiffy, I think < giving this too much thought>
