A safe place for everyone on the TTC after MC rollercoaster. Welcome and come in - virtual wine and chocolate for all, and lots of support and hand-holding until you get your BFP!

The thread moves fast but don't let that put you off - feel free to come along and stay to chat; or dip in and out with any questions.

If you want to join the stats, just add yourself to the list:

WTTC = waiting to TTC
UCL = usual cycle length

Good luck to all - here's hoping for lots of healthy, sticky BFPs by the end of the thread!

I really hope I'm not tempting fate but I think I can move to the BFP list too.

One BFP on slighty cheap boots early test late on sunday night, one BFN on amazon cheapy in morning followed by another BFP on boots new cheap one an hour later. I still can't quite believe it and will refuse to believe it until I have seen evidence that it's really here to stay.

The absolutely lovely fertility service at St Mary's Paddington have booked me in for a scan when I'm 6 weeks as the earliest date on which they can see anything. They were very very happy when I called them as well. I can't recommend them enough. And the diabetic/antenatal side would have seen me today if I could have got to the hospital.

I hope as the longest going on this list with no BFP this gives others hope (I've been here since part 2 and I'd been trying for 3 months at that point).

Congratulations to all the others with BFPs this week and I very much hope that the rest of you get yours soon.

DachshundsWantPuppies · 19/01/2011 19:41

yrmotb chilled? er, no! chilly - defo - rapidly turning into an ice cube. Heating turned up high but house still v cold. Boss surprisingly non-mad today, so not as bad as I thought it would be.

How are you?

Mamapower · 19/01/2011 19:42

Oh Tigger that is fabulous, I am so pleased for you... CONGRATULATIONS Grin Grin Grin Grin

There must be something in the water!!

DachshundsWantPuppies · 19/01/2011 19:44

tigger Another one!!!!!!! Congrats - FX for sticky bean

mummya Your oracular powers are truly awesome - tell me what day to test!

youremindmeofthebabe · 19/01/2011 19:45

Oh yey, tigger that's brilliant news. Congratulations! GrinGrin

dachs Just going quietly mad. I blame it on the full moon.

Chloe55 · 19/01/2011 19:51

Fab news Tigger Grin

I remember first hearing about mooncups on my post-natal feb 06 thread (God, was it really that long ago Shock) and thinking then, why? Just why? A few of those ladies absolutely raved about them though.

youremindmeofthebabe · 19/01/2011 19:52

Who's got a copy of TCOYF?

Chloe55 · 19/01/2011 19:53

This is my first month on this thread but out of interest - has there ever been such an influx of BFPs in such a short space f time???!!!

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 19/01/2011 20:07

Oh tigger that is absolutely fantastic news!!!! Grin Grin Grin

well spotting has started here, 8/9 dpo, sure sign af due tomorrow or Friday. I'm just waiting for that temp drop in the morning then she'll rock up a couple of hours later, the old biatch Sad

OP posts:
youremindmeofthebabe · 19/01/2011 20:10

izz sorry that she's making herself known. It ain't all over till the temp drop though ((hugs))
izz will you look up Luteal cysts in TCOYF for me? I'll look after your wine for youGrin

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 19/01/2011 20:27

. yrmotb Good news is the luteal cyst thing is very rare, and usually dissipates on it's own. You may notice light spotting and mild pain around the time your period is due. Pg test with manual exam and ultrasound may be needed to diagnose but as I said they usually go on their own.

Even better news - it's much more likely that you're diffed. Even TCOYF agrees Grin

lily06 · 19/01/2011 20:29

Evening all. Great to see so many BFPs - hoping it will rub off on the rest of us! A stupid question, I'm sure, but why is the advice to only SWI every other day? Thanks Smile

Velvetcu · 19/01/2011 20:44

Congrats tigger wow you girls really were all getting loads of action over xmas werent you???

yrmotb I'll tell you again - I didnt get my BFP til 7 WEEKS DIFFED last time even though I tested at 5 so all is not lost even if its a BFN on Friday morn. Some women have slightly odd shaped hCG which doesnt fit exactly with the antibodies on the strip so you just have to have a higher concentration to see it properly. Before I started teaching, I was a research scientist in a diagnostics lab and one of the things we produced was pg tests so i know a bit about this stuff :)

Izzy thanks to you and the above yrmotb I am now tempted to google luteal cysts as that fits perfectly with my own symptoms! arrghhh. Also couldnt your spotting be (whisper) implantation?

I quite fancy a glass of wine now there has been all this talk of it.

Chloe55 · 19/01/2011 20:45

My gp said it was to ensure the sperm was 'full' Confused

youremindmeofthebabe · 19/01/2011 20:49

Ha. I know velvet- i'm just being a paraniod freak. Moi, pisces. have tendency to imagine all possible scenarios in my head! Thanks though. All info online is conflicting anyway, don't botherSmile

Mamapower · 19/01/2011 20:49

lily no such thing as a stupid question! There are no hard and fast rules about when to swi but the every other day advice is based on allowing your fella to build up stocks of super swimmers Grin

Sorry she's on her way Izzy but you just never know!

yrmotb you got any potential/poss symptoms? (sore/bigger boobs? cramps? bloat? headaches? pmt like symptoms (I acted like a nutter and still am Grin )

youremindmeofthebabe · 19/01/2011 20:53

mamap:Headache all last week, early this week. Diarrhea last week and early this week, Intermittent nausea even now, I puked in my mouth last night whilst doing pilates and saw some vomit on the floor in town today and gipped. No sore boobs. I was bloated early this week, but it's gone. Confused

lily06 · 19/01/2011 20:56

Wine - now that sounds like a plan. Large glass of red I think. Planning to give up alcohol when I start on clomid, and there's lots I fancy in the kitchen!

Thanks - I knew there would be an explanation. So is it a case of no harm in SWI every day, but not necessarily much good either? TMI I'm sure but OH does like a quickie before work in the mornings!!!

I'm new to charting etc - what's it involve?

MummyAbroad · 19/01/2011 20:58

Tigger Grin!!!!! I am sooooo pleased for you. Yours has been a really long wait, but now your time has come!! Grin

I am also a little freaked out by my powers of prediction, spooky aint it?? Grin

Izz I hope its just spotting and not AF, it could be couldnt it?

Chloe never in all 11 threads have so many got so diffed so quickly. I think there is more coming!!

YRMOTB got your nerves must be shattered!!! I think it is MUCH more likely that you are pregnant than that you have a cyst.

mamap Yes, thank you teacher! I should have put at the end *Patented MamaP Method Grin

Mamapower · 19/01/2011 20:58

bit of a mixed bag there my love but nausea and puke are particularly credible symptoms... def digi test, it's the way forward

PinkIsACheeseAddict · 19/01/2011 20:59

Wow I have missed loads!! I definitely don't understand mooncups but I've seen millions of people on various threads here raving about them.

tigger that is amazing news! I reckon pee on an expensive stick to get some reassurance if you're worried but it sounds good to me.

Chloe I think you were asking about drinking and temping? I found a glass or 2 didn't matter but actually getting drunk did, I think it's because it disturbs your sleep.

Thanks for asking after me guys, I can't really believe it so am trying to put it at the back of my mind. Have got a massively upset stomach though. Called consultant today, he's going to chase up clotting results as they didn't have them back yet, and I'm going to have a 6 week scan :/ not sure how I feel about that, hopefully I can experience some good scans this time :S I am also bricking it because I've just done another 14 hour day and am exhausted-this is what happened last time and I am terrified that working too hard is going to kill my baby again Confused

dacha sounds v promising to me!!

Sorry if I missed anyone, my eyes have basically glued over... Waves to all

OMG Tigger !!! That is wonderful, brilliant news - I am absolutely over the moon for you Grin Grin Grin

May it be the stickiest bean with extra sticky stickiness. :) :) :)

Pink Oi, missus - time for some R & R I think. Put your feet up or I'll get the haddock out.

YRMOTB Sorry you're still none the wiser as to WTF is going on but Velvet is right - some bfps just don't show up for a loooooong time. I'm crossing everything that you are one of them! Yes, even my eyes. Grin

I love this thread right now; it's a good place to be.

OrangeGloss · 19/01/2011 21:12

Sorry being selfish again,

I just passed another big clot :( I remember the dr asking last time if it had blue bits etc, so I looked this time and couldn't tell

If I'd miscarried am I to assume it would hurt? It did last time, and a lot of blood

I REALLY want a scan now :(

lily06 · 19/01/2011 21:17

Oh you poor thing. I think it depends how far along you are - sorry, I've not read back through all this thread yet, so don't know. Hoping you are ok Smile
