A safe place for everyone on the TTC after MC rollercoaster. Welcome and come in - virtual wine and chocolate for all, and lots of support and hand-holding until you get your BFP!

The thread moves fast but don't let that put you off - feel free to come along and stay to chat; or dip in and out with any questions.

If you want to join the stats, just add yourself to the list:

WTTC = waiting to TTC
UCL = usual cycle length

Good luck to all - here's hoping for lots of healthy, sticky BFPs by the end of the thread!

Preitty FAB! was wondering xx
orange tis a price i will happily pay. PS bizarre dreams are a symptom... i dreamt i was jensen buttons superglamourous modelesque girlfriend at the F1 in monaco so yes the dreams can be vivid and totally unrealistic!! In reality i look like a tramp, am frumpy and starting to look puddingy but i really couldnt give a flying feck Grin

Waves off to S&M again Grin xx

PinkIsACheeseAddict · 19/01/2011 08:04

Thanks everyone, you're all so sweet Blush

I am working very hard at being zen-what will be will be, and no point in worrying about what I can't control... If I keep telling myself that maybe it will stick!!

zam pork pie??!!! YUM!!! Mmmm need one!! Do you have any pickle to go with?

Chloe hahaha how romantic!! Still, needs must-nicks will tell you about how she used to watch tv with her legs up with wall afterwards Grin

orange yep, didn't temp this month as have been ill. cep I would use the first one but maybe make a note that the second one was lower. Mine used to fluctuate a lot before ov, but be a lot more stable after ov. Are you doing ov sticks too?

owly is today scan day?

hahah orange your game sounds COOOLLLL!! sounds like a perfect way to take a break from mentalling.

wellie hope the packing is going well!

hoverjolls I hope you were impressed with how quickly mrs nix swooped in and tidied the list!! Grin

Fab news mrs pretty!!!

I've put a slab of Emmantal on the side-I've straightened it up with a knife so you can't see the bite marks.... Grin

Happy hump day all-downhill all the way to the weekend after lunchtime, yay!!

PinkIsACheeseAddict · 19/01/2011 08:10

ps dacha you poor thing, I'd forgotten your story about learning to drive. I reckon you could say it makes you lucky though-if you'd picked a cheapo driving school you wouldn't have had the triangle on the roof and might not be here now having been killed in a freak 3 point turn accident.... It's definitely time for you to have some good luck nice lady xx

HongKongBaby · 19/01/2011 08:50

First of all massive congratulations to pink :)

a quick mememe question. Have flu, feel absolutely awful, would you take paracetamol? Last time got bfp got terrible stomach bug next day with aches and pains and took paracetamol. That one ended with miscarriage not sure if related to illness or medication or just coincidence...

youremindmeofthebabe · 19/01/2011 09:01

Coincidence hkk Paracetemol has been used for years in pregnancy. Never take Ibuprofen though. Smile

Congratulations pink! GrinGrin That's excellent news, well done.

Day 17 and temps took another upwards shift today. What the bloody hell (exsqueeze me) Is going onConfused. Even though I have'nt got a digi yet, I have got Ov tests, so I poased on them with FMU and they're negativeSad Made an appointment with the doctor for the first available appointment, which is next blimming Thursday. Quietly going mental. And i'm so tearful it's unreal.

hey velvet hope you're having a ok day. And news? ((hugs))

Hello to lily.

PinkIsACheeseAddict · 19/01/2011 09:07

{squishes babe} you poor thing, I can completely understand you being tearful. I am so hopeful that another upward shift is a good sign and that by the time the dr appointment comes round you'll be able to cancel it due to good news. Can you ask the receptionist to give you an warmer spooky if there's any cancellations? Xx

HK sorry you're feeling grim, think paracetamol is fine . Hope you can get lots of sleep-I think that's the best way to fight it off. Xx

PinkIsACheeseAddict · 19/01/2011 09:08

"warmer spooky"?????? well I guess you could ask for that, or an "earlier appt" instead if you prefer!!! :D

ZamMummyInGabs · 19/01/2011 09:10

Dumela from Botswana!
Am having a lovely peaceful coffee as the DS's went back to school today - yay! Need the caffeine boost to get me thru the agony of queuing and dealing with uppity robots at the post office later before a little light supermarket shopping :-) The expat life is soooo tough....
HKbaby - they say paracetamol fine in pg, practically the only thing that is!
Still grinning for Pink - if when I get my BFP am going to namechange to something pork pie & cheese related :-)

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 19/01/2011 09:10

YRMOTB sorry it's still unresolved chica (((hugs))). Pleeeeease get a digi asap to try to give you some clarity xxx

OP posts:
ZamMummyInGabs · 19/01/2011 09:22

babe sorry it all seems so crap.
Do you keep a record of CM as well? I've never used ov sticks (can't get them here, just as well) but found CM to be a better indicator of fertile time than temps. The program I use (tcoyf) can work out & predict ov just using CM or with just a couple of temps. Before this cycle, I always ov around cd17-18 so it can be totally normal. After this MC my lp dropped to 7-8 days so I started taking eve prim oil & mega b6 and bingo! - ov on day 15!! Might be worth a try next cycle?

Mamapower · 19/01/2011 09:35

yrmotb I'm with izzy get a dige hon, all my hpt's were negative except the digi... go on, off to the shops with you Smile

Morning everyone else Smile

Not sure what the frig is going on with my body I swear all symptoms have vanised except slightly big boobs still but no tenderness anymore and last night and this morning was leaking a clear fluid, didn't gush, is no smell but it's more akin to water than your avg cm... anyone?? any ideas?? I hope this one isn't doomed already!

appleblossoms · 19/01/2011 09:37

Just popping back to say HUUUUUUUGE congrats to the lovely pink and mamap! Woohoo!! Grin

What a lucky thread at the mo....long may it continue!

and hurray to pretty!! another step in the right direction...oh I SO hope this is the one!

still thinking of you orange, good luck with your scan next week.

...and to the newbies, this is such a lovely thread....I wouldn't have got through last year without the ladies I met here.

Hope to see you all on the grads thread very soon. (special waves to velvet, dasch, oracle and izzy)

(PS.. all good here, 19 weeks now..baby is a proper little wriggler, which is very reassuring. midwife told me to start believing I'm really pregant so have taken that on board and am enjoying it a little more...20 week scan next week, eek!)

PinkIsACheeseAddict · 19/01/2011 09:39

mamap same here re. Fluid, that's why I was convinced AF was on her way. Woman at chemist during last months embarrassing thrush/pregnancy related discussion told me that an early pregnancy symptom is lots of wet cm so fingers crossed you're all good hon xx

Velvetcu · 19/01/2011 09:41

hey ymotb upwards temps are always a good sign. Sorry you still dont know whats going on! I had some bleeding last night but its gone again for now, my temps dropped a bit this morning tho.

Have taken the day off work today to try and do some destressing. Work is a nightmare becuase we have loads of absences in the department which means each of us having to do 3 peoples work. I have told my head of department that I cant cope but he has yet to get back to me. Also, having the BIL staying here is more difficult than I thought it would be. He is completely self-obsessed atm (understandably - he wants to keep talking about his failed relationship, showing me the same txt messages, pictures of some girls he met last weekend, how his ex is gonna feel about said pics on fb etc etc over and over and over!!). There is just nowhere for me to relax and also, cant have any important conversations with DH. I have to talk to him while he is in the bath!

hello lily sorry you find yourself here. Feel free to rant and rave as you need to - there is always someone here to give you a hug or talk some sense.

orange and nix im loving the cazy dreams! which game are you playing orange?

PinkIsACheeseAddict · 19/01/2011 09:41

zam if I listed my favourite foods in my name it would go on forever, but cheese and pork pies are defo up there!!! Hehe hope to see a name change v soon!!

apple fabulous news!! Hope next week goes well!

Mamapower · 19/01/2011 09:51

oooh thanks pink didn't know that, you've put my mind at rest

Thanks apple 20 week scan... how exciting, must be very reassuring to feel your baby having a little party in your tummy Grin

Velvet could you take yourself off for a nice gentle walk, fresh air, no phones, peace and quiet? local swimming pool?? for a gentle swim, swimming always clears my head. Try and have a lovely day of r and r, keeping all crossed for you hon.

hk paracetemol is fine and lots of fluid.

gotta dash, boss has turned up! waves to everyone Grin

CaribouMoo · 19/01/2011 10:05

So pleased to lurk past and see more BFPs on the thread - that's fabulous news! Well done, I'm especially pleased for Pink as one of the old crew I know from my last days on the thread. Delighted for you chick, hope this is a sticky wee bean.

Orange glad the scan decision has been taken out of your hands - hope you can chill until then.

YRMOTB I have a spare CB digi here - I'll post it to you!

Wombat33 · 19/01/2011 10:29

mamap I had the same watery CM Blush I thought it was AF on her way but no! Also I don't know how this pg is going to turn out but what I can definately say from my results yesterday is lack of symptoms doesn't necessarily mean MC. I was explaining to my RL friend yesterday, I felt tired, achey abdomen, had sore, swollen veiny boobs and felt mildy nauseaous for the first week after I tested positive and then had a whole week of ABSOLUTELY nothing - even veins on boobs went back to normal. For a WHOLE WEEK! Then the funny feelings started creeping back in on Saturday and my blood results yest seem to suggest my hCG levels are really really high (someone on another thread has kindly told me that I'm above average levels for triplets...Hmm) and all my symptoms have slowly returned. So please don't worry! [Ha - coming from me, you can feel free to take this instruction with a pinch of salt, but it's kindly meant!!]

lily06 · 19/01/2011 10:30

Morning all, congrats to all the bfps I've just read about!! I've a question if that's ok: how long do you wait before telling people that you're pregnant (other than OH - and people on here of course!)? Do you wait until you've had a successful scan or just burst with the news on day 1?

Wombat33 · 19/01/2011 10:36

Lily I've only told the people I would want to be able to talk to if something goes wrong (one RL friend in addition to my DH). I'm hoping to be able to hold out and not tell any others until after successful scans. It depends on how ill I feel and how much I'm showing, but because of concerns about probs with the baby that will ony show on scans I may have to wait until 16 or 20+ weeks to tell all (I'm due to be scanned at 12, 16, 20 and 24 wks)!! Well, that's the plan anyway Smile

Chloe55 · 19/01/2011 10:38

Ooh are you in Botswana Zam? Can I be really nosey and ask why the move? How do you find it differs from here (apart from the weather obviously Wink) - don't need to know for a reason, I just love hearing about other lives across the waters.

Mamap, I remember have cm+++ with my pregnancies.

BackOnceAgain · 19/01/2011 10:39

Hi All, sorry I can't do a big catch up today but just hasd to pop by and say WOWOWOWOWOWOWOW to pink HK and Lemon Grin Grin Grin

(PS as everyone says buy a digi test YRMOTB!)

Chloe55 · 19/01/2011 10:43

Shock at your levels Wombat! Is there a chance for triplets (I know there's always a chance but I mean an incresed one, can't remember if you are on fertility treatment or not)

Lily - I am always happy to tell my news, I find it hard to hide as I used to socially smoke and like a drink when I get together with friends, 2 things which I don't do whilst pg so they generally guess anyway. I also think that if things went one they are my pillars of support when I need them. Dh has said that if we fall pg this time he doesn't want to tell anyone until 12 wks which scares me somewhat as if I MC again my world will fall apart and I know I will need my friends.

PinkIsACheeseAddict · 19/01/2011 11:02

lily I only told one couple who had busted me as we were in holiday together and I wasn't drinking booze or coffee and was paranoid about the cooked throughness of BBQ food. I ended up telling the world and his wife about MC though, some kind of compulsive disclosure disorder or something....

wombie TRIPLETS WOULD BE AMAZING!!!!!

AandRMum · 19/01/2011 11:13

Pink how fabbbbbuuuuuloussssss - what have you done with your positivity plan!!! It has started a snowball of BFPs. HK and Lemon am so thrilled for you. YRMOTB and Velvet I am adding to the collection to get the expensive tests - cheapies just cause too much stress - I hate it when you have to take the bloody thing apart to find out whether or not it really is a line - and during my obsessive symptom spotting month I found out that OPKs are particularly unreliable in picking up a pregnancy. MamaP excessive CM is very normal in early pregnancy - I ended up needing to wear liners most of the way through. Lots of pelvic floor exercises recommended to ensure it doesn't continue post birth.

Chockky are you out there - how are you doing?

Good luck with the triplets wombat - now that def would give you something to worry about - could you imagine!?!

Fab thunderstorm going on here - love thunder bolts and lightning - very very frightening ......

Waves to all - Nix loving your flattering descriptions of yourself Grin Lily I can never keep a pregnancy to myself - firstly because I can't keep anything to myself and secondly because I look 5 months pregnant from about week 6 and grow from there. I most probably wouldn't tell the butcher this time - made for some awkward moments as he tried to discretely check out whether there was a belly or not.
