A safe place for everyone on the TTC after MC rollercoaster. Welcome and come in - virtual wine and chocolate for all, and lots of support and hand-holding until you get your BFP!

The thread moves fast but don't let that put you off - feel free to come along and stay to chat; or dip in and out with any questions.

If you want to join the stats, just add yourself to the list:

WTTC = waiting to TTC
UCL = usual cycle length

Good luck to all - here's hoping for lots of healthy, sticky BFPs by the end of the thread!

Congrats lemon Grin

Welcome Lily, sorry to hear of your losses. The ladies on here are lovely but the thread moves very quickly so either check in and update us when you can or lose your life to mumsnet Wink

Pink I don't know how you are managing to hold out - I would def have POAS by now!

Velvet - I feel like everyone is falling pg around me in RL and on here too and am so so Envy but surely this is influx is just a positive sign?

lily06 · 18/01/2011 19:51

Thank you for the lovely welcome. Smile

Pink - definately POAS, it can't be any worse than worrying about it. Believe me. Keeping my fingers crossed for you.

Currently waiting for AF so I can start first cycle of clomid. Feeling scared!

Wombat33 · 18/01/2011 19:52

pink and velvet poas! Poas! I've got everything crossed for more good news for you in an owl style yoga pose!!

hUGE hugs to all those feeling in need today xxx

MummyAbroad · 18/01/2011 20:09

Welcome lily very sorry to hear of your losses, hope things get a whole lot better for you this year. xxx

Chloe55 · 18/01/2011 20:12

Lily - it's my first cycle of clomid this time round, will be interested to hear how you get on.

Chloe55 · 18/01/2011 20:14

Forgot to say aswell Lily, I had a bit of a breakdown very down night before I started the Clomid, I think it was just that definite step in TTC again which is scary for all of us I guess.

lily06 · 18/01/2011 20:16

Chloe55 - great to have someone else in the same boat! Are you being scanned? I'm not, but have read a bit on here and elsewhere that suggests some people have scans each cycle as well. Good luck with it all x

Wombat33 and MummyAbroad - thanks for the welcome.

lily06 · 18/01/2011 20:22

I know exactly what you mean Chloe, without taking clomid you can kind of say 'well, we're just seeing what happens', but this is so much mroe definate.

Chloe55 · 18/01/2011 20:27

No I am not getting scanned, was getting really worried as everyone else I seem to speak to has been! I rang my gp over the weekend (week after taking it) as was getting ovary pains, he said was a side effect and it has died down now. My MIL (retired midwife) is concerned I am not getting scanned but I guess some consultants do it differently to others Confused

OrangeGloss · 18/01/2011 20:38

Thanks for everything, I'm so grateful it's making me tearful Blush
Just spoke to DH and he said they must have made the appointment so late for a reason.
Also, I thought about what Pink said. We've decided to spend the money on going out for a few meals. It'll give me something to look forward to during the day and get me out of the house. Have just come back from one of those meals and it's done me the world of good Grin

There aren't any more private appointments for the rest of the week, so it's almost a relief that I don't have that option any more. So no more scan indecisiveness!

Lily welcome to the thread and sorry for your losses. You are in good company here, these ladies are keeping me sane going at the moment
Pink they are definitely signs. One of my problems with eating is feeling sick and bloated afterwards. If you POAS we won't tell anyone :)
Nix glad the S&M is going well, I hope you're not away too long and missing home
Chloe you're right, if she does visit you can bask in the spotlight next month :)

lily06 · 18/01/2011 20:38

Thanks, that's reassuring, though it was just me not being scanned. I get ovary pain already ever since the EP and MC, so not looking forward to that part. Do you take it morning or night? I've had no advice either way, but some people on here have said night to help reduce the side effects.

Mamapower · 18/01/2011 20:47

where the hell is *pink with her poas result???? We are leading parallel lives so I fully expect a bfp Grin

Velvet hon, we all want a baby and as harsh as this sounds to all us recent bfp'ers a bfp doesn't guarantee a baby sweets, I live in fear of another mc. There is a gang and you're in it, and you will get a bfp and you will join us on the grad thread (assuming I go long enough to even make it there) I just know that it'll be sooner rather than later... Big big hugs, I'm so sorry you feel so utterly shit, these are the blues I had in Nov so I totally understand xx

Emoo · 18/01/2011 21:09

Hello lucky ladies!

HKBaby and Lemon - huge congrats to both of you! Smile or Grin, delete as applicable. Lily - hope you are lucky with us soon, and sorry about your journey so far.

Pink - very entertained at the fishiness of BFPs coming in a poisson distribution! Good luck when you decide to POAS. If the pain is bad, see your doctor (so they can google and decide what to do!). I wouldn't think it's likely to be an ectopic being a nuisance, because it would be tiny at this stage, but agree that it's worth checking out. Could be pulled muscle, ovarian cyst..?

MummyA - love your optimism! A BFP would do nicely by March, thanks Mummy Oracle!

MamaP - course you can come to the wedding! We're having babies soon! Two of them!

Velvet and YRMOTB - you still have awfully beautiful looking charts, and Loola has a nice one too. Her chart isn't bad either..! . Sweetheart, I will guard you for as long as it takes! YRMOTB - I didn't know corpus (corpi?) luteums could trickily persist like that - still hope you're wrong! Good luck to all of you when you decide to test.

Nix - thanks for asking - I'm giving DH a bit of a rest (in order to maintain enthusiasm for next month). After a weekend of alcohol-fuelled high temps today I got a proper high temp so know I'm in the LP somewhere.

Dachs - hope the embies are snuggling nicely, and don't forget that all the scientists here will firmly tell you that there is no such thing as tempting fate!

Wombat - I think your numbers sound good - as MummyA said, there's such a huge range of normal, and your dates could be slightly out as well.

Orange - I would have thought a scan at 6+3 should just about be able to detect a heartbeat in a viable pg if done via the fanjo? But like others have said, you will get better reassurance if you can hang on a little longer.

PinkIsACheeseAddict · 18/01/2011 21:15

Hi lily welcome to what is officially the luckiest thread on the whole of mumsnet, populated by what have to be the loveliest ladies in the whole of the country (and some other countries too!). So sorry to hear about your losses - 2010 was a RUBBISH year for all of us but fingers crossed 2011 will be a heap better.

orange - tearful eh? Another good sign Wink I think you and your DH spending some chilled out quality time enjoying yourself is a fabulous idea - much better than dildo cam.....

izz glad acupuncture is still going well. I usually go once a week for mine - when my cycles were going mental I had to see her as close as possible to when my period had just started but now she's more relaxed.

BUT this week I will be going twice. Why is that?

IT'S A BFNP!!! 2 proper lines! Shock mamap this is just too weird.....!! I've texted my consultant so I'll see what he says tomorrow, but DH and I have agreed to try and forget that we saw it, and just carry on as before (just without the booze and brie) I am still a bit worried about my painful side, but Dr Google (for once) says it's not necessarily anything sinister and can be a normal early pregnancy symptom. Also, thinking about it, I have been coughing my guts up for 3 weeks solid now, so maybe it's something that's been pulled or twanged or something? Will mention it to consultant tomorrow anyway.

velvet sorry you're :( If anyone understands how you feel, it's me. The statistics are with you though hun, so your BFP is close.

Girls, I know this isn't anywhere near over yet, but I just want to say thank you for all of your tireless help and support over the last 6 months - you've been immense and just getting to today is a huge milestone. Thank you so much lovelies xxxx

Chloe55 · 18/01/2011 21:17

I am so Grin for everyone with their BFP although I am so Sad at the fear you all fear. I know/hope I will be there one day but am so Angry at what a MC takes away from pg.

Lily - I took mine in the morning as mum panicked about me taking it at night with side effects etc etc, however, I have heard taking it at night is the best option to sleep through the headaches (if you get them) - but mine were constant for about 5 days, sleep or no sleep! I spoke to a RL friend who had no side effects at all though.

MummyAbroad · 18/01/2011 21:20

WHOOOOOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOOOOOO! PIIIIIIIIIIIIINK! OH MY GOD!!!!!! I'm ecstatic for you !!!!!! Grin Grin Grin

Right girls, I am getting convinced that the more BFP's there are the more we are going to get! One by One, we will all get there!Grin

DachshundsWantPuppies · 18/01/2011 21:23

Thanks emoo And I know there' no such thing as tempting fate really, but I really think fate has it in for me.

You've all heard my honeymoon stories - have you heard my learning to drive story? I was v nervous about learning to drive, so I only learned about 4 years ago. Second driving lesson, sitting at side of the road with driving instructor explaining to me how to do a 3 point turn. It's a no through road in the countryside near Windsor. A camper van comes bombing down the road (in a 30 zone doing at least 60), doesn't realise it's a no through road and is going too fast to stop before an overhanging tree. Which it catches on its top front corner and then carries on going. 3 seconds later the tree topples over onto the car I am sitting in. It would have crushed the roof, but the BSM sign on top adjusted the trajectory of the tree just enough that it crushed the back half of the car rather than the front half.

I think life just has it in for me. Maybe that's why I can't get pregnant. Fate just doesn't want me to create another being that is so afflicted with unfortunate happenings!

lily I forgot to say earlier, but welcome to the thread!

velvet Sorry you're feeling down sweetie , I know how you feel - FX the oracle is right and it'll be us getting our BFPs soon (along with izzy and pink and any other old timers...)

DachshundsWantPuppies · 18/01/2011 21:24
