A safe place for everyone on the TTC after MC rollercoaster. Welcome and come in - virtual wine and chocolate for all, and lots of support and hand-holding until you get your BFP!

The thread moves fast but don't let that put you off - feel free to come along and stay to chat; or dip in and out with any questions.

If you want to join the stats, just add yourself to the list:

WTTC = waiting to TTC
UCL = usual cycle length

Good luck to all - here's hoping for lots of healthy, sticky BFPs by the end of the thread!

Thanks all!! Mummya if 'gestational weeks' means from conception rather than from LMP then yes, I'm in range by your chart - phew!! Dr Google is a bad thing - keeps telling me that high HCG levels indicate molar pg or downs/chromosomal problems in the foetus Confused. Chromosomal issues is obv a concern for me, but we'll leave worrying about those things until another day!!

I got the results done at my GP and did ask the secretary who gave me the results to put me though to my doctor. He couldn't tell me the mui/mL/ui/L conversion and said he'd looked on the internet Shock and thought my results were good/a bit high! Hmm

Not much help there then!!

They're repeating the test on Friday so I won't get the second set of results for another week. I did say when I had the first one done that I thought it was more customary to repeat the test after two or three days but he was having none of it Hmm

Can you tell I don't entirely have confidence in my GP?? Grin That's why I'm asking you lovely ladies! (and booking a scan for next week when I'll be 7 wks and should hopefully be able to see what's going on)

MummyAbroad · 18/01/2011 17:15

Orange find out what the cancellation policy is for an early scan, make the appointment and then decide later if you are going to cancel or not. Thats what I do.Smile

Chloe I am also with cold, and trying not to let the snot interfere with seduction Hmm Its also annoying because its buggering up my charting. I think quite a lot of us are in the same boat.

Hands up if you have a cold and are still shagging?Blush Grin

Wombat33 · 18/01/2011 17:15

Owl if I was actually 6wks on Friday then I think I would have to have conceived before I got my positive OPK and temp rise - I'll check my chart tonight. I'm sure it's not impossible to be a few days out even with temping etc.

Cep I had the tests done at my GP's surgery because when all my pg symptoms totally disappeared for a whole week I thought everything was going wrong and phoned and cried on them Blush

MummyAbroad · 18/01/2011 17:31

wombat Shock at your GP looking stuff up on the internet!! If the doctors are using Dr google, then Shock Shock Shock ... but then again it does explain a lot Hmm

Yes, it you are right about gestational weeks, my chart also has a column called "weeks since last menstrual period", but I didnt type it in.

Lets hope your doc has been reading this:

"In most normal pregnancies at hCG levels below 1,200 mIU/ml the hCG usually doubles every 48-72 hours and it normally increases by at least 60% every two days...

...above 6,000 mIU/ml, the hCG often takes over four or more days to double"

from this site www.babymed.com/hcg-calculator

still reading.....just got to the bit where velvet spewed.... I did too.... ITS A SIGN!!!

i threw up all over my toothbrush this morning [delightful emoticon]

oooh gotta catch up some more!

YRM step away from ZE GOGGLE!

cep · 18/01/2011 17:59

wombat i just wondered cause twice during my last pregnancy i went with v light bleeding and they didn't do any blood tests just made an appointment with epu.

It does seem strange that dr's are getting their info from the very thing we keep trying to avoid. Hmm

orange i know it's hard but personally i think it'd be best to wait. i don't think it'll help if it's not sorted and then you need to wait anyway.

Mamapower · 18/01/2011 18:00

Just a quickie, Orange hon, do what ever will put your mind at ease, we will support you all the way... if you are getting more and more stressed by waiting that is not going to help the baby... let us know if you decide to go for it and we'll be ready with all the support you need Smile

cep · 18/01/2011 18:03

meant to say velvet poas

and second mamap we're here for you either way you decide orange Smile

Wombat33 · 18/01/2011 18:08

Cep they did the same to me when I went with bleeding (MC) in my last pg too but I was 7 wks so I think at that stage they figure and ultrasound will give a lot more info. At 4-5 weeks an US won't be very conclusive so that's why they did the bloods I think.

cep · 18/01/2011 18:11

ahh that makes sense. Grin

nickstermum · 18/01/2011 18:11

HK Awesome news lady, well done xxxxx FX its sticks x

wombat sounds nice and high, step away from doctor google PLIZ!

Jolls phew i cant keep up either.. had to double take your post as i was certain it said backStabbing not slapping! Doh none of that going on round here Grin

Bee good news you are ok, was wondering. PV where are you? Are you ok m'darlin?

orange do what is right for you, happy mummy = happy bean. If you are stressed book one. I booked a private scan then cancelled it 24 hours before due to EPU one, no comeback from the private clinic..go for it if you think its gonna help! Constipation and wind all signs! I had such painful trapped wind last night i could feel it travelling down my bowel, and bubble past my uterus, and Jeepers it fecking hurt!!

wombat i should change your GP if hes reading Ze Goggle too!!!

Izz, pink dachs velvet you wont be left behinds sillies, were on a roll!!!

I hope those wielding fishes have been washing the fish fight, and you are indeed using mackeral, sardines and not sharks!! Grin

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 18/01/2011 18:24

wombat that reminds me of my gp at uni! I can't remember what I went to see her about but I remember asking a question and her saying "umm...I'm not sure...I'm just going to ring my friend and ask her what she thinks" Shock

orange book the scan if you are getting too stressed, but prepare yourself for the fact that it might be inconclusive...it's a tough call...

Random paranoid posting alert:

Ok so I think i was due yesterday but no AF yet although have had some cramping and damp CM (sorry, TMI). I keep feeling really hungry but when I eat, feel really sick and my boobs haven't yet deflated so not expecting AF until tomorrow afternoon at least I would think. But the last couple of days I've had pain where my appendix would be, except I haven't got an appendix as it was taken out a couple of years ago. Today its started hurting much more and 'pulls' when I stand up-do you reckon this is a good/bad/no sign?? Maybe I should POAS tomorrow, I am seriously too scared to though, it really upsets me when I get a BFN.... I am ridiculous, I know!!

lemonsherbet · 18/01/2011 18:31

Ladies can I just say BFP BFP!!!!

I was on here after my ERPC in October last year and then went reclusive and dropped off mums net for a while. But there are 2 lines!! Sorry just needed to tell someone and the ladies on here where very good to me after my mmc last year.

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 18/01/2011 18:43

lemonsherbet congratulations!!! We wondered how you were getting on...that's fantastic news!!! hope you have a very boring 8 months ahead Grin Grin

pink if af was due yesterday, poas. If you've got a good make, poas tonight even - the signs are looking good and you're in danger of going mad if you wait till Friday! And don't get stressed about bfn, its looking good and you can always come back on here and we'll tell you it's just too early Smile. Any idea how many dpo you are?

velvet and pink We are all lined up in the common room brandishing wine glasses waiting for your POAS results... :)

MummyAbroad · 18/01/2011 18:49

Pink so sorry that you are feeling really stressed. IMO if there is the slightest worry of an ectopic you should POAS and do everything necessary to get yourself checked out. If you went to an EPU and explained your symptoms the first thing they would do is test you. How long has it been hurting? Could there be another explanation? xxxxxx

lily06 · 18/01/2011 19:05

Hi everyone,

New to mumsnet, introduced myself yesterday on the TTC 2011 thread , but here would probably have been a better place. Had 1 x EP and 1 x MC last year, so hoping its going to be third time lucky for me.

Looking forward to getting to know you all.

Lily
