Ok ladies, here's the new thread, let's hope it's a lucky one!

Grin @ handing the baton.

Hope it's a lucky baton for you Garden

CaveMum · 07/12/2010 19:17

Grin Pats garden on the back. Well done dear! I bet Mr G is like the cat that got the cream!

Good luck to everyone on Sex Duty - just don't go leaving me here all by myself!

raspberrytipple · 07/12/2010 19:19

Evening all, I'm back for a proper catch up although it has been very quiet in here lately! I hope there are some BFPs coming up.....!!! I am not hopeful this month, we stood by our beds Blush and did our homework Grin at exactly the right times, (even after the shaky start) bur after 6 months trying and nothing I'm just not feeling hopeful so a bit sad about it all today :(

Tigerseye I am very jealous of all these girls whose DPs are up for it all the time. I pester a lot as I have quite a high libido but DP bless him, just looks knackered before we even start shag week! I dont think he likes the cold. But have fun you! Love that DP couldnt work out what the early night was for Grin and hope you feel better soon!

Truffkin snuggling sounds such a good idea, I'm so cold. We only have a little house and it normally warms up really well but at the moment it's just too too cold Xmas Sad (that's a sad face for being cold, because it's blue!!)

Toria hope reflex was good! Not sure I like the idea of getting my feet out in this cold weather... I have a massive fluffy pair of socks on and they aint coming off!!!

cavey.... are you trying to lead womanly astray and encouraging her to buy beautiful but expensive clothes...... Grin I may also be convinced to be led astray too. Silent disco sounds fun but I'd be sooo self conscious! I have to be quite drunkie before I will dance!

tomboy hows yer tits today? I'm always amused by the word 'tits' it makes me want to giggle like a little girl! God knows why, I'm such a child Blush

Garden congratulations on the scan! That's sounds very good and you've certainly stood by your bed a lot this month (well, hopefully you've done more than just stand by it but you know what I mean Wink )

Hello to all the current lurkers (waves) Xmas Grin

I am going to test next Friday I think if no ERTD as that will be 35 days. Since I came off the pill in June I've had cycles of 28, 31, 29, 32, 35! What is that all about? Confused I wish I could just settle down. But, I now have my CBFM thanks to lovely Bellaby so I shall purchase some sticks after Christmas and get peeing! DP's back is much better so although it wont be SWI I think we may get some practice in to make up for the lost time last week. Afterall, it would be awful if we have to SWI next month and we've forgotten what to do Confused Xmas Grin

raspberrytipple · 07/12/2010 19:22

wow Garden x-posts. That was one mammoth shaggathon. Well done you! I am very impressed. And a little jealous Blush

TigerseyeMum · 07/12/2010 19:33

raspberry my cycle is very erratic too, went from 30, 32, 34 days...hoping it's not going to get too long as then obviously you don't get as many in the year. It has been 4 months of Standing By Beds and so far nothing.

Mind you, I'm a bit the same about winning the lottery. If I buy a ticket I fully expect to win something Hmm but it takes patience.

Don't give up...

Karstan · 07/12/2010 19:47

gardenpixie good effort on the SWI-ing

Just come back from my consultant appointment, it was fairly positive, but I don't think I'll be SWI this month as had to have a couple of biopsies so feeling very prodded and poked (and not in a good way!). Could be something could be nothing but best to double check.

But providing that's all ok, and as long as I'm happy to put up with horrendous periods for a bit longer I'm good to keep trying Grin. Iron level is up and no reason to think that'd be a problem in pregnancy because the cause of the iron loss (ERTD)will be gone.

CaveMum · 07/12/2010 20:10

raspberry what are you implying?! Wink I would never lead anyone astray and I certainly haven't just bought two more Issa dresses from EBay to make sure that my first one doesn't get lonely Xmas Shock

karstan nice to hear from you. Glad that your appointment was positive.

Garden I'm sorry, I was very rude in my last post and ignored your question from earlier today. Yes DH is back on base at the moment. He heads off very early Monday morning and comes home on Friday evenings. It does mean that SWI-ing (when my body starts cooperating) at the right times could be difficult as I am sure that my body won't play ball by only ovulating at weekends!
It will get all the more difficult as of February because DH's job moves even further away (3 hour drive) which will rule out any chance of a midweek SWI-athon and will also mean he has to leave on Sunday evenings rather than Monday mornings.

Oh well, what doesn't kill you only makes you stronger!

Now, just to get my ovaries working and we may actually get a chance to try this TTC lark!

raspberrytipple · 07/12/2010 20:16

You are very right tigerseye one month it will just happen for no reason. I suppose sometimes I just think about it too much and Think logically that if all is well and one does a lot more than stand by the bed at the right time it surely must happen but I know it's not that simple. I just can't ever imagine ever getting that BFP or going for the 12 wk scan or telling people 'we're expecting a LO'. But it has only been six months and I need to keep reminding myself of that.

Hope your feeling ok karstan, I know how miserable I feel after a smear so have full sympathy for how you are feeling Hun. Can you have a big glass of wine to help you settle down an relax your mind away from it all? xx

TigerseyeMum · 07/12/2010 20:32

Raspberry I can't picture it happening for me either, but I have heard people say this before and it can and does happen for them. Seems like NeverNeverLand for me but you never know.

Off for me baff Wink

TomboyWife · 07/12/2010 21:00

Evening ladies!

garden you are officially the most hardcore, er, exerciser of marital rights, that I know. Well done you! Xmas Smile

Karstan good to hear your appointment went okay.

raspberry I feel your pain on the irregular cycles. Mine have been all over the place (I still can't believe the last one was 17 days -- 17!).

Wow, am I on CD24 already? It's been mega-busy at work so I haven't had much time to think about anything else. My boobs (notice I'm sparing raspberry from another giggling fit by not saying tits) are still sore but that's still it for symptoms. It's my office Christmas party tomorrow. I remember trying not to drink much at the last one because I thought I was updiffed but wasn't. I don't think I'm going to be so diligent this year. Xmas Blush

raspberrytipple · 07/12/2010 21:11

Do you know though tomboy the word boobies and winky have the same impact. So I shall just add that my bazoomas are hurting like sillyness tonight. Blurgh, bet it's stupid ertd Angry

Ahhhhhhhh I am wetting myself at the word "winkie" it ALWAYS makes me collapse into giggles! I now have to find an excuse to explain to my colleagues why I am snorting my tea out ...

Sorry I have to dash but just wanted to sort out the list. Oh, and how's this for total bonkersness - I felt really really sick this morning and my first reactions was "great, I'm clearly pg with triplets" even though I am probably between 12 and 24 HOURS past ovulation...

xxxx

TigerseyeMum · 08/12/2010 17:14

Maybe it IS triplets though

SW got off to a good start here but I have Tracheitis apparently and am poorly and must remain silent so that my throat can recover Hmm So it will be SWI through the art of mime then.

As for the coughing yesterday, well, apparently it can enhance things Shock so there's a tip for you ladies. Hacking cough = happy hubby.

Karstan · 08/12/2010 17:41

Yesterday when I was having my biopsy, I kept being told to cough because my cervix kept going into hiding. Apparently coughing makes it appear again!

raspberrytipple · 08/12/2010 18:14

Tigerseye I just lol'd really loudly at sWi through the art of mime! That's going to make me lAugh all night Grin

ToriaPumpkinHead · 08/12/2010 20:26

Garden I am in awe of your shagathon, let's hope the baton is lucky for us all!

Raspberry I know the feeling, despite doing everything at the right times I'm getting to the stage of thinking it'll nevr happen so there's little point in stressing about it. Definitely practice so you don't forget what you're doing next month!

Karstan Glad your appt was positive!

Tiger I too am laughing at the thought of SWI through mime Xmas Grin

Reflex was lovely this week, and it's not too cold, she's constantly touching my feet so they don't get chance to get cold! Have been a bit stressed, my mum and her sister are here atm and they're doing my head in! Have drunk far too much this week so far and still haven't SWI since Saturday despite me now being on day 14 but today have some stabby pains and watery CM so will try and talk him into it tonight (we're both sleeping like the dead hence the lack of action). Still not convinced I've been ovulating, ever, but has to be worth a shot!

Think I'm off for some wine now, am working at 9am but someone just offered to drive me to work so no buses for me! Xmas Grin

JosieSmith1 · 09/12/2010 09:35

Hi, got loads to catch up on, promise I will do it soon!

Just realised I'm due ERTD tomorow, how did this escape my notice! Really really haven't noticed 2ww at all! Shock sorry to all those suffering on it!

New girl started working here on monday and she is a god send! She knows her way around the comp and is doing most of our duties already when it normally takes people weeks to get the hang of the systems! Has taken the pressure right off! The only negative is that she's just come back from maternity leave and her daughter is only 18 weeks and is gorgeous, very jealous!

Hope you're all well xx

TigerseyeMum · 09/12/2010 10:53

Morning Josie hope the ERTD stays away :)

I feel like death on a stick this morning, this tracheitis is agonising plus I have flu symptoms too

But I kept my end of the bargain, and we did horizontal miming at 2am Grin

It is our 18th anniversary tomorrow. You never know, might bring some luck.

Hello everyone

Josie that's great news about the new girl; really glad she's taking some of the load off you. And good work for sailing through the 2WW - as you'll see from my post yesterday, I didn't even make it past 12hrs without a touch of the madness!

Toria hope the wine helped! Great that you have a lift into work today as well - hopefully that will leave you plenty of SWIing energy. The stabby pains sound promising so fingers crossed there's a bit egg growing away merrily waiting to make your DH's swimmers' acquaintence

Tiger your poor throat! Although I am chuckling at mime SWI. I might have to try that on Mr G! Hope you are feeling better today - here's an especially boozy hot toddy for you

Karstan how are you doing? I hope you are fully over the nasty prodding.

Raspberry how are your hooters today? Sore chest pillows are definitely a promising sign!

Anyone POASing at the weekend?

Hello to everyone I missed - I hope you are all OK and getting off to a good Thursday

Waves @ womanly cavey and Flick (if she's there) and any other lurkers

Not much news from me other than odd queasiness again this morning (with no booze last night or anything) so I am a bit Confused as, from what I can gather, it's physically unlikely to the point of being impossible that any little garden could be far enough along to cause any symptoms at all. I fear it is something deeply boring like an allergic reaction to washing up the breakfast dishes.

Hmmmmmm.

Right, best go and drink tea on the sofa with a good book start work

xxx

gardenpixie · 09/12/2010 11:03

Tiger x-posts. Excellent effort on the horizontals; am sure that, combined with the anniversary, will def bring you a tiger cub imminently! Grin Do look after yourself though as you sound proper poorly and in need of hot water bottles and ginger tea xxx

TigerseyeMum · 09/12/2010 11:14

Thank you Garden and fingers crossed for your queasiness (I admit, housework of any kind makes me feel nauseous)

I am off to bed for a while, though usually this means that several delivery people will knock on my door, my dog will need to go out and my cat will bounce on my head. But here's hoping.

CaveMum · 09/12/2010 11:14

[sneaks in while no one at work is looking] Morning all!

Quick post from me to say fingers crossed for you Josie and "hurrah" for competent work colleagues (bit of a shortage of those these days Xmas Hmm.

Tiger hope the throat gets better soon. Also chuckling at the SWI miming!

Tiger PMSL at the pet references - mine are just the same. The cat's prediliction for head jumping definitely goes up when I am very ill! And the dog, who can go for 9hrs without needing the loo during the night as he's a big boy, seems to develop urinary incontinence if I so much as doze off for a couple of minutes! Hope you get some sleep [hands over hot toddy while mopping Tiger 's brow]

Cavey that's great! Sweater monkeys! Brilliant, I'd never heard that one before!

Xmas Grin
TigerseyeMum · 09/12/2010 14:48

Thanks for the hot toddy I need it! I got some sleep but I ut earplugs into my ears as the ramshackle house next door is being done up by a team of builders (which is lovely when you are ill) and my cat proceded to try to take the earplugs out with his teeth Hmm

Then my dog had a fall downstairs and I had to grapple with him for half an hour until Mr Tiger could get home and help me.

So I have given up and got up again.

I have never heard of Sweater Monkeys either Grin

Bewabs, they were referred to by my best friend's dad when we were 7 Confused

We often refer to them as Baps.

TomboyWife · 09/12/2010 19:47

Evening ladies!

Tiger we've got two cats and a dog. It feels like we haven't had an uninterrupted night's sleep in years. Good practice for parenthood, I guess. At least, that's what I tell myself when I need consolation.

Josie any news?

I'm reminded of those ridiculous TV ads for The Sun a few years ago.

Well, I survived by office Christmas party. In fact, everyone survived it more or less intact this year, which is a bit unusual. I drank oodles of red wine but woke up this morning completely hangover-free. Result! Xmas Grin

My bazoongas are still sore and possibly even getting sorer, but I've also got an acute case of PMT, so I'm trying not to get my hopes up too much.
