Ok ladies, here's the new thread, let's hope it's a lucky one!

OP posts:
Fingerscrossed1 · 02/02/2011 14:24

You simply can't go to Ikea tonight, it can tip you over the edge at the very best of times!

JosieSmith1 · 02/02/2011 14:30

Smile Fingerscrossed. Last time we went we took a shortcut to miss most of it out and ended up walking smack bang into the middle of the nursery stuff. If I did that tonight I think I would totally break down.

Fingerscrossed1 · 02/02/2011 15:19

Hmm, DEFINATLEY don't go!

JosieSmith1 · 02/02/2011 15:41

DH said he'd sit with me all night while I wallow in self pity Blush

I feel completely sick. You know when you've had a major shock and it makes you feel really ill. I've got that. Had to force my dinner down my throat and now I'm avoiding the choccy bar in my desk. I will have it when I will enjoy it. I'm moving rapidly between EnvyAngrySad

weimy · 02/02/2011 17:05

oh josie I am sorry :( big huge weimy pack licks and snuggles from us!!!!

JosieSmith1 · 02/02/2011 17:25

Thanks Weimy Smile I'm still not managing very well. I wish it wasn't late night reporting, I'm stuck here till 7pm. I know the minute I get in the car with DH I'm gonna break down. He's getting me pee sticks tonight so I can see a BFN and start concentrating on the next cycle

Imps7 · 02/02/2011 18:12

Josie - pee on that stick, cry your eyes out, have a glass of wine and get a hug from DH. Tomorrow's another day and the next cycle is another cycle. Keep your chin up and know that this will happen for you one day. Maybe think about good things that you've done recently that you wouldn't have been able to do if you already had a baby.

Also - everyone - avoid IKEA like the plague! That place is hellish, even without ending up in the nursery section! They do good houseplants though, I have to say.

Imps

Truffkin · 02/02/2011 18:14

Right, not long now Josie before you can get yourself home and have a good cry and snuggle with DH. I think the worst thing about these Envy attacks is that afterwards you feel so stupid about the extreme reaction, I know I do! You just have to indulge yourself now and know it will all be better once you've had time to get things in perspective. It's not been that long for you and DH TTC so it will happen, just not quite 'by accident' Wink

Sending (((hugs)))

CaveMum · 02/02/2011 18:14

Josie I'm sorry you're feeling so blue, I completely understand how you feel.

Positive mental attitude is all well and good, but sometimes you do need to have a good old fashioned mope and cry. The key is not to let it drag you down so much that you can't see the light.

Hugs to all.

Truffkin · 02/02/2011 18:14

Damn, I forgot wine. Wine is always the answer Grin

JosieSmith1 · 02/02/2011 18:15

Will do Imps Smile I'm not a drinker but if I don't come into work tomorrow with a hangover I obviously didn't do a good enough job. I think I can officially say this has been the worst day of my life.

I'm sorry for essentially taking over the whole thread today

JosieSmith1 · 02/02/2011 18:17

X-posts.

Thanks for everyone's support. I'm not used to having pg people around, I've never known anyone who was pg, I think that's making it harder a bit

CaveMum · 02/02/2011 18:19

Wow lots of cross posts there! Yes, wine is always the answer!

Imps I forgot to say that they've confirmed two bands for this year so far - Texas and James Blunt.

Imps7 · 02/02/2011 18:24

Cavemum - I will be looking out for the cheesy pop / band reunions - Steps would be a good one!

Josie - I have the opposite problem to you - everyone I know (well, that's an exaggeration but you know what I mean) is either pg or has a child/children. I am subjected to constant stories about pg/birth/parenting as well as patronising comments about how lucky I am to still be able to drink/sleep/go out etc etc and how I really don't know what hard work is because I've never had a baby. It's all rather tiresome really.

JosieSmith1 · 02/02/2011 19:20

Hot bath - check

Large glass of wine - check

Hugs off DH - check

BFN - check

Sad
TigerseyeMum · 02/02/2011 20:06

Josie Spent the day with my 8 month pregnant colleague too, tis not easy.

TomboyWife · 02/02/2011 21:51

Gosh, I don't check the thread for a day and look what happens!

Josie so sorry you're having a tough time of it. Are the hugs from your DH or the wine helping at all? hugs and I hope you have a less crap day tomorrow.

Imps I fear the problem you're having is all too common. Hope your DH comes round soon.

Truffkin · 02/02/2011 23:31

Josie what CD are you? Could it still be too early for testing?

JosieSmith1 · 03/02/2011 09:03

(Hangs head in shame) Truff it's too early, on CD27. If I was pg at least it would explain the ups and downs I've been having the past couple of weeks. If I'm not then I'm just a hormonal idiot Blush

Today not much easier and I have made the decision to take a break from MN for a while. I love you lot but it's getting to me to much and I need to take a step back and stop obsessing about it. Feel free to PM me, especially if anyone gets a BFP.

(waves and passes out choccy bars to everyone)

Truffkin · 03/02/2011 12:20

Josie naughty, naughty you're not out of the running yet then! Understand your decision but hopefully its only until you come running back in to announce your BFP!

Thans for the chocolate Grin

weimy · 03/02/2011 13:51

Josie FX and big hugs xxxxxx

Florin · 03/02/2011 18:37

Just peeking my head round the door to say hi! My first ertd after op has been and gone so hopefully from Sunday onwards we can get on with some serious swi!
Josie I am sorry you are having a crappy time not much else to say but we have all been there. Certain other peoples pregnancies hit you worse than others. I know someone at the moment that I find really hard to deal with and to be honest just avoid now as I find it to upsetting and cried to many times. For you it must mak it harder though with her pregnancy being unplanned. sending big hugs. We will get there in the end and have our beautiful babies.

KalokiMallow · 04/02/2011 02:13

Hey wonderful ladies, just to let you know. I'm quitting MN. Will miss you all lots. Take care of yourselves.

My email is my MN username @gmail.com if you wanted to chat.

Keep on SWI Grin

cookiemoo · 04/02/2011 09:49

Sorry to hear you're leaving Josie and kaloki but I know how you feel. I tend to not post very often but I do lurk to see how everyone is getting on. It becomes very consuming and before you know it ttc is all yiu think about. I've recently decided to focus on my fitness in the hope it will ease my ttc obsession with the added bonus of losing some weight!!
Not much to report from me, another ertd over and done with. Timing all out thanks to evil hsg, just found out I can't see consultant till end of march so me and dh just plan on enjoying ourselves over the next month or so!
I'll be lurking to see any bfp's or other good news. Cheerio!! Xx

Truffkin · 04/02/2011 13:16

Gosh this place is going to be quiet if everyone keeps leaving and I'm just entering the 2WW as well, who will I menkul with now? Am not feeling particularly optimistic as DH was too tired for the one-day-pre-ovulation shagging Hmm I shall just be keeping my fingers crossed that the little swimmers were good enough to hang around for 36 hours to meet Mrs Egg!

Kaloki sorry to see you are leaving too (and it sounds like for good - double waaah) but good luck and come back when you have exciting news to share please Grin

Cookie good luck with the health kick! I have been swimming twice in as many weeks and consider that good going. When I don't leave work until 7/8 o'clock, I cannot raise the energy to spend time in the gym when I could be at home on the sofa!

I'm soooo glad it's Friday today, definitely think some Wine is on the agenda this evening to celebrate the end of the draining work week.
