Congrats slowshow Grin

CrazyAlien · 03/01/2011 17:51

congrats slowshow

CaveMum · 03/01/2011 18:12

Crazy that is shocking! I'm sure the new school will see how great you are.

[slap] for Slowshow for testing early Wink.

Awwwww, you can have a [hug] too! Congratulations! Give it a few more days to build up the hormone levels then take a digital test to see the news in absolute confirmation.

Great start to 2011 ladies, lets keep it up!

CrazyAlien · 03/01/2011 18:26

thanks CaveMum I hope so as i am really feeling deflated today, thought 2011 was going to be a great year :( All I can do is be myself and be honest, I think I am good and I am still learning so find some things challenging , which is understandable . I also need this job to take my mind off TTC lol

x

haloflo · 03/01/2011 18:49

slowshow Congrats on the BFP! May this be the start of a very fruitful year for the frolickers Grin

mumnerves · 03/01/2011 20:04

Happy new year ladies!

Congratulations slowshow on what is hopefully a great start of BFPs for the year!
Here is the graduates page when you feel like joining us

slowshow · 03/01/2011 20:24

Thanks ladies! (And yeah yeah, I know CaveMum). I'm being cautious at the moment because it's early early days, and I'm so scared of miscarriage. I have a Clearblue digital waiting upstairs for me to wee on it tomorrow morning...

KalokiMallow · 04/01/2011 01:38

Congrats slowshow!! Let's hope that's the start of a busy 2011 here and in Grads!

I'm staying a bit quiet here, mainly because I've got enough going on without getting too obsessed with symptom spotting.

CrazyAlien That really sucks :( I'm sure it'll all work out though!

JosieSmith1 · 04/01/2011 08:44

Alien that's crap! Hope you get it all sorted and can start soon (hugs)

Congrats Slowshow!! What a way to start the year!

I have decided that I have another imaginary symptom. I am craving milk and yoghurts at the moment. Obviously because I must be pg and need plenty of calcium Grin

I am suffering from a massive shock to the system this morning - back at work Sad. Instead of getting up at 9am, I had to be up at 7am. Thankfully DH is doing the horse or I would have been up at 6am, and probably would have cried. Couldn't get to sleep then when I finally did, had an awful dream about being kidnapped and DH rescuing me and getting into a fight and almost getting killed Shock, dunno where that came from!

Truffkin · 04/01/2011 10:50

Congrats Slow a great start to 2011, let's hope many more BFPs follow soon!

Crazy how frustrating for you, are you able to know the main points in the reference provided so you can respond at all? Hope things work out for you. The darts final was great BTW, did you watch it? So excited that we got to see a live 9-dart finish as well as our English underdog winning through!

Josie my SIL had that craving when pg with her first and it is a sign of needing more calcium Grin It created an hilarious incident when she put 'creamy yoghurts' on the shopping list for her DH and he bought some sort of Ski low fat thing, which resulted in a mental crying fit from the hormonal pregnant lady because they were the wrong yoghurts!

Happy back to work day everyone, hope you are all coping well and don't have the January blues too bad.

JosieSmith1 · 04/01/2011 13:05

Ooo sounds promising Truff! Your poor SiL's DH though Grin

CrazyAlien · 04/01/2011 13:54

Hey,

Truffkin I have spoken to mu union and I have a right to see the reference to check that it is truthful, fair and accurate, so will see what has been written about me. My file says i am good so surely if the outcome of my being at the school was going to be a crap reference I would have been pulled up on my weaknesses! Plus it apparently says she wont re appoint me, well er .. she did last term!

Will be an interesting meeting for sure!

I watched part of the darts but went to bed as was feeling crappy after the news, especially as I should be in my new school today :( Missed the 9 dart aswell!aarrrrghh

I hope to go next year, when/where did you get the tickets?

x

TigerseyeMum · 04/01/2011 13:58

Congrats SlowShow that's brilliant news, what a great start to the year for you :)

I am so bored. I hae 11 short essays to write this week. Sigh. They are very boring essays as well, like painting-by-numbers - demonstrate you can keep records, deal with distressed people etc etc.

Yawn.

I should get on with it really.

We are changing our SWI approach this year. Last year, for the last 6 months we have timed it around ovulation without success. Now I just had a mammoth 4 day cyle, I have no idea when/if I ovulate, so we will try the 3 times a week recommendations. Do I have the energy for SWIing 3 times a week???? Hmm

We shall see.

crazybutterflylady · 04/01/2011 13:58

slowshow woohoo congratulations!

Hi to everyone and happy new year... I hope to see you all in grads very soon and that 2011 is your year Grin

xxx

TigerseyeMum · 04/01/2011 13:59

I meant mammoth 40 day cycle, of course. 4 days, we would have to be darn quick Hmm

cherrycobbler · 04/01/2011 14:22

happy new year lovely frolickers, really hope 2011 is very fruitful for the frolickers and there are lots more BFPs to come! congrats slowshow!

rasberry and zips WOW congrats on the wedding dates!!! VERY exciting!!

Fingerscrossed1 · 04/01/2011 14:54

Congratulations slowshow, that's brilliant news!

Hope everyone had a good christmas and new year. I was ruined by flu and then AF...the cow Sad

Anyhoo, going to really go for it this month. Does anyone else wish it was summer now?

JosieSmith1 · 04/01/2011 16:10

Definitely FingerCrossed. I'm just looking out of the office window watching it get dark, and knowing that my poor neddy will be wanting to come in from the field, and she might be on her own so won't be very happy (and apparently a crazy horse is attacking anyone who is going into that field, so that'll be fun in the dark!)

Everything is easier and more fun in summer

I am still getting some crampy pains, so much so that I have been checking ERTD hasn't arrived early today. It hasn't Hmm

JosieSmith1 · 04/01/2011 16:37

Just a quickie Blush

DH didn't get the supervisor job that he's been working his backside off for the last 6 months for. But he's happy as now the pressure's off and his wage is only going down a tenner a year so perfectly manageable!

Forgot to say this morning that team manager's daughter went into labour this morning with her first baby, no news yet, I'm sure she would have been on the phone had baby arrived

ToriaPumpkinHead · 04/01/2011 19:22

Wooo! Massive but restrained and calm congrats Slowshow Grin

Will try and catch up properly but apologies if I miss anyone.

Alien That's utter rubbish, really hope you get things sorted out chick.

Truff We are sort of trying that approach this month, but the Christmas spirit arrived late so we've pretty much gone for every night for the last week, just one more to go (swimming in EWCM today) and then think it might have to go down to twice a week, exhausted hehehe...

Josie everything crossed for you lovely!

Nothing much to report here other than I got excessively angry with OH's pregnant wife last night after she succeded in getting a rise out of me with the line "You'll just have to catch up wont you?" when we were discussing friends having children. I may have said to her that it's not for lack of trying and then gone into a sulk. Possibly. feeling loads better today though as, as previously mentioned, I am swimming in EWCM and it's bang on time Grin all my Emma Canon stylr positive thinking has clearly helped me, this is the most sign I've had of ovulating in months! Right. Need to drag OH into bed as he's exhausted and I want to get in one more SWI before it passes and we go South for his nan's funeral.

OP posts:
ToriaPumpkinHead · 04/01/2011 19:23

That is obviously OH's best friend's pregnant wife, not OH's pregnant wife...

TigerseyeMum · 04/01/2011 22:17

Toria your dedication to the cause is admirable Grin

A few more days and we will don the shag cape yet again...I feel tired just thinking about it.

roundtable · 04/01/2011 22:20

Congratulations slowshow you must be so pleased!

alien don't worry about the crap reference my ex head did that to me as well. I eventually found another job and have been proving her wrong ever since. New head reckons she is only going to hire staff with bitchy references from now on! Good luck!

Another quick post but a big wave and hello to everyone and welcome to any new people!

TomboyWife · 05/01/2011 09:42

Morning ladies!

Toria that was the most amusing typo I've seen on here in ages! Grin But the pg lady ought to know better than to say stuff like that.

I've recently had a colleague with a new baby ask me why I don't have/want children. I opted for the non-committal approach because I figured saying, "Well, actually, we've been trying for a year" would've made him explode with embarrassment. These sorts of things generally don't bother me. My mother asking me every week if I'm pg, on the other hand... Confused

CD27 here and I'm feeling crampy, so it looks like not timing BD + horrible cold + coffeepalooza had the expected effect.

JosieSmith1 · 05/01/2011 10:25

Same here Tomboy, people at work keep sayig to me 'don't you want to have kids then?'. It's so insensitive, what if we had just found out we couldn't have kids! People just don't think. DH's Mam keeps saying stuff like 'when you have kids you'll have to do x, y and z', you just feel like shouting 'well we've been trying for x months/years, if you stop pressuring us it might happen'!
