I went digital when I got fed up of not really seeing the difference between almost as dark as and darker than, and (as previously referenced) i greatly enjoy seeing the smiley face appear Smile- makes me feel all normal and functioning, but I can see it's not terribly economic if you're checking aLOT. ivegotabrandnewcombineharvester, I do think you should get some kind of Services to Lutenising Hormone Increase Investigation Award for following the instructions so precisely, and for being dedicated enough to pee anywhere, anyhow (runner up: head presented by Waterloo -how appropriate- station maintenance staff)

I used to do singing lots, but got put off at Uni when I joined the choir and they were all really square Have been investigating around the area in recent times,as I know it would make me happy (have to be content with impressing a load of 9/10 year olds on a weekly basis, and apparently we're not making much progress as I often tell them to shut up and just let me sing it) but they all seem to be full of Very Old Ladies. People who are in choirs, are the old ladies nice? Do you travel far distances to fulfill your needs to group sing, or are you all in that there London, and have it all on your door step? (Sorry if off topic, but it did seem to me there be lots of hedge crickets around these garden crofts.)

Ariesgirl · 07/10/2010 18:36

Starry, my old ladies are lovely. It makes me laugh a lot when they attack with gusto any song our young and cool choir master throws at us. Personally I bring the mean age down by about 25 years. I am almost as far from That London as you can get in England and we have loads of small choirs and groups on our doorstep. Granted none of them are much good, but as I just enjoy singing with others most of all, I don't care too much. The only thing that bothers me a little about old lady singing is that they do tend to get very quavery as they age. But I just sing louder to cover them. Like you, I have an over inflated opinion of my own coolness and talent! And I get the solos

Oooh thanks starryeyedsurprise I love awards and prizes! Maybe I will continue on this streak and in a baybee? Am Envy of the singing talent in the byronic hills -when I was eight my teacher told me to mime for the St. David's day concert! Only recently realised that this was a pretty mean thing to do and not many eight year olds can hold a tune, but it is too late and have a complex!

Ivegotmrbitey · 07/10/2010 19:36

or even win a baybee?

rocketleaf · 07/10/2010 19:36

work was ok thanks gaggles but knackering. I am almost crying with relief that it is over for another week.

HB don't be embarrassed everyone is allowed a wahwahwobbly every now and then :)

snorting at your piss bottle antics bitey i only managed to do it once in work, then just did them when i got in with seems to work ok.

Concerned for cinco she's been very quiet and i think today is D day :(

saltyair · 07/10/2010 20:09

Fukkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkiiiiiiiiiiitttttt.

So,in a new and amusing twist, Droid arrived like a proper bastard in the middle of the night, whilst I was asleep. Resulting in bedsheets that looked like a scene out of 'Carrie'. Brilliant. I have since lost at least 24 pints of blood.

Glad I didn't POanysticks.

I love the Tiger Who came To Tea. We frequently quote it, esp when drunk "OOh, we seem to have drunk all the water in the taps, AND all of daddy's beer"

Jonny Depp......ahhhh....if he had only met me, I just know he'd love me.....

rocketleaf · 07/10/2010 20:14

oh FUCKsticks, salts thats rubbish :(

I don't know the tiger that came to tea but I do love the hungry caterpillar.

saltyair · 07/10/2010 20:21

Fucksticks indeed.

Ahh.....I love all of Eric Carle's books.

I should point out that I used to work in primary schools with little boys with behavioural ishooooooossss, hence my love for children's books.

Just so you don't think I'm odd for my knowledge of kiddy books...as I have no children even though I'm 36

rocketleaf · 07/10/2010 20:28

I'll be 39 by the time I pop the sprout out so I wouldn't worry about it. Tell you what I am not looking forward to having a Uni student in my 60's (not that they will be able to afford to go to Uni by then)

saltyair · 07/10/2010 20:32

I intend to be a properly mad old lady by the time I'm 60.

Not that have any children to embarrass, but if I did, I would.

Ariesgirl · 07/10/2010 20:59

Many BESHes are older than 36 Salts (though I too have hyperventilatey moments of panic when I remember I am also 36 next birthday). ChooChoo, Scorps, Polster and Rocket are all Ancient BESHes and all with wins. And I'm sure there are more than that. Own up, own up. Sorry that should read, come on - get boasting.

Even if I win I imagine it will fall out .

Ariesgirl · 07/10/2010 21:22

Oh salts :(. Have this glass of Merlot and a clinking load of iced San Miguels. I will alert Byron forthwith.

OP posts:
milanomum · 07/10/2010 22:24

Ah that's just shite salt, sorry.
That happened to me once when I was staying in a hotel. Almost had to convince chambermaid not to call the police and TIS was really freaked out by it the wuss

I'd be absailing past the window of the Depp welcome committee's office if I were you HB

Chuckling at the room temp pee business.

I love kiddie's books too - love anything by the Ahlbergs, Oliver Jeffers and our most recent purchase 'What the ladybird saw' by the Gruffalo woman.

As for symptoms, with littlepinkfluffyone I had really vivid dreams but I think the nipple one is just related to wanting to be rather than actually being updiffed unfortunately.

milanomum · 07/10/2010 22:26

Oh and I'm not much of a singer but I'm trying to learn how to play the guitar so I could strum randomly accompany if there were ever to be a BESH sing song.

PrincessBoo · 07/10/2010 23:01

I was 35 when I won my babybee and my good friend turned 40 when her baybee was 4 weeks old. Being an older Mum has lots of advantages I promise :)

So MrBoo and I had a serious chat tonight. We both work in the public sector and there is a good chance I may lose my job in March. He may be safer but nothing is certain. Money is tight as it is and we are both in agreement that babybee making plans may have to go on hold for a few months as we both feel a bit insecure about the future. I am very sad and I hope you don't mind if I continue to lurk on Fred.

I feel a little bit tearful ackchewally - writing it down has made it a little bit more real. I really wanted Master Boo to be able to be a big brother (he would be such a good one) and this makes it a bit less likely than it already was.

Sorry to bang on.

PrincessBoo · 07/10/2010 23:02

oh and I'm mistaken, I was 36 when MasterBoo was born.

PrincessBoo · 07/10/2010 23:07

Just realised am being all self indulgent.

Salts Fuck the droid and the horse it rode in on. Have some of my laudanum.

Ariesgirl · 07/10/2010 23:08

Princess :(. Really sorry to hear that. As far as I'm concerned, you are very welcome to lurk and pipe up occasionally. It's very sad that people who would be very good parents feel they can't be because of the fucking economic climate Angry

OP posts:
Truffkin · 07/10/2010 23:15

Oh Boo sorry you're facing an enforced wait, is there really no way you could plan for another if you weren't working? Am certain you must already have thought of everything so please to slap me for my impertinence

Salts fucking evil fucking droid and in such brutal abundance as well. I've prepared this platter of chocolate dipped strawberries, kir royales and aftershock chasers (class). Hope it does the trick.

We're watching '2012' as it was sent to us from our love film list. It's really quite poor, not even ironically funny like Independance Day or The Day After Tomorrow. I'm quite annoying in the sense that I have to watch to the end rather than turn the shite off though. Baj.

PrincessBoo · 07/10/2010 23:16

Well I will cheerlead and light candles for all you lovelies on here - I feel very blessed that I had one win, am happy to be your mascot until we feel like we are in a better financial position (or I just throw caution to the wind and think 'Fuck it' - which is always a possibility,:o!).

rocketleaf · 07/10/2010 23:49

sorry to hear that boo :( I hope the financial situ gets better at some point soon and you feel you able to have another one. you are both such ace parents and master boo would indeed be a fabulous big bro (i would love for him to be surrogate big bro to the sprout) Just remember my sis has a big gap between hers and its worked perfectly, who knows where you'll be in a few years time? xx

rocketleaf · 07/10/2010 23:50

i really should have gone to bed hours ago....

PrincessBoo · 07/10/2010 23:53

Go to bed now - cooking that sprout is hard work :o

Oh and ta for pep talk - love you sprocketcinnamon (and bugger mumsnet non mumsnet hugging rules)

PrincessBoo · 07/10/2010 23:55

No slapping required btw 'Truffles* - If we could work it out we would but it's all so uncertain at the mo.
