Hope things look more sorted soon, Princess. I got made redundant a few years ago, it really was the right thing for me though although I didn't know that at the time and was all vay stressful. Plz do continue to hang out here.

AlpinePony · 08/10/2010 07:39

salty That's bollocks. Yucky sheets just add to the insult. :(

We have some ancient PESHes - and there is of course the FESH who pretended she was in her 30s because she wanted to join us - but is actually 42/3 (?). ShockGrin

princessboo All I can say is take a little thinking time and consider what the costs really are. E.g., jailbait only works until 10am. This means we pay no childcare. He also has a uniform so doesn't need to buy expensive work clothes, has a subsidised canteen so no starbucks/pret and cycles to work. I'm not sure working full-time is as black & white financially advantageous as we're led to believe. Your expectations as parents will change anyway. We actually always were quite unsociable as a couple and so weren't in to "spendy" restaurants and jetting off last minute to Milan for the weekend. These days a social outing for me is Deli France for a coffee with a few pals. I've just got in a huge ebay haul of clothes for me including a brand new work suit (with tags still on) for 5 quid. We're very canny with our spending - we have nice things but we're really careful about how we buy them. My favourite label is "50% off"! Wink Take a look at our PolPot's life - she is a SAHM and not exactly rolling in the paper stuff - but she still has a most enviable life (and a husband with a 12" cock).

LadyGoneGaga · 08/10/2010 08:24

Alps Princess already has a child so am sure she is aware of the costs/lifestyle changes involved!

Forgot to say Salts, that does suck. Particularly the scene from Carrie (although you did make me chuckle). Devious little bastard.

AlpinePony · 08/10/2010 08:29

Sorry boo - didn't realise you'd laid before.

No need to be snippy thanks LG.

LadyGoneGaga · 08/10/2010 08:46

Look as someone who was a single mother and had to pay enormous nursery fees and manage a mortgage on her own (for now) and has to work full time to finance this I'm very aware of the difficulties of financing a child. It sounds like you have a good set up which is great, not knocking that, but not everyone has those choices open to them. Anyway, sorry came across as snippy, prob just a bit hormonal.

Have some Johnny to cheer us all up

Sorry salty, sometimes when the droid is abbatoir-esque I have to admite to a small sense of satisfaction along the lines of see, I TOLD you my tummy hurt. Is not really compensation though.

Princess I am on my fourth short term contract which will end in May, with no current arrangements and have no automatic claim on maternity pay, although plan to fight this tooth and claw. FDH is not a massive earner and we will be in the merde if I don't get another contract. However we have decided we're just going to have live with that if it is happens. I am probably being unbelievably naive but an eff it attitutde has seen me right so far in life. >frantically touches everything wooden in office<

Has anybody else drunk too much pineapple juice and given themselves a mouth full of ulcers? Should come with a health warning!

starnosemole · 08/10/2010 09:44

salty would you be offended if I did this ((()))) Am Sad and Angry for you, it's such a gut punch, especially after even the smallest hope is lifted. Hope you can take it easy today and then do what makes you feel a bit better tonight- can I reccomend red wine and american comedy?

PollyPoo · 08/10/2010 09:48

Morning all. SnowPone I fear you have become rather obsessed with the size of TG's manhood. The poor thing is going to waste as I am no longer interested now I have a baybee in my belly. Grin

And just to add to the debate on waiting to ttc for more favourable circs - we got duffed with Boo when TG had been made redundant and was off work for 6 months due to depression. Wasn't ideal and I was pretty stressed about money and the state of TG but at around 5 or 6 months duffed he got a temp contract which led to the full time job he is in now. Phew.

It took us 5 months to get duffed the first time, and 2 years the second time round. Damn my failing ancient crappy body. The trouble with 'waiting for the right time/better time' is that a) there is never really an absolute perfect right time and b) it could take blardy ages by which time situation is very different anyway. So I say go for it! But that is just my humble opinion of course.

Bugger to the droid Salts.

Karate chops to back of the neck for all. And have a pain au chocolat to take your mind off the pain. Grin

Headbanger · 08/10/2010 09:59

I say go for it too Boo, if only because you have no idea how long it might take to get a win. But whatever is best for you both, of course...

Won't hear much from me for a bit . Dealing with family crisis - parents' home burgled whilst they're on their travels so had mad dash there last night (instead of rocking up to party Sad) and have been up to my neck in police/insurance/stolen heirlooms ever since. Disclaimer: not a wealthy family so heirlooms of sentimental value rather than the tens of thousands kind but, meh, rather upsetting anyway.

Casserole · 08/10/2010 10:04

I say go for it too Boo (this probably isn't at all helpful) - surely second time round you've got most things already so it must cost less? That's what I'm clinging to, anyway - I earned over 40k when I got diffed first time and now this time I earn fuck all AND am being an active drain on our household economy by pursuing ridiculously expensive 5 year degree. This baby's gonna have to wear ministew's hand me downs regardless of it's gender Grin

Anyway. I don't mean to belittle what gaga says, which is actually the far more thought through and helpful answer (and I stand in awe of her, just for the record). You and MrBoo know what you can and can't stretch to and I'm sure you've thought it all through fully. So I'll shut up now.

Casserole · 08/10/2010 10:06

Oh Head Sad What bastids.

PollyPoo · 08/10/2010 10:06

Oh HB I'm so sorry about your parents house, that is awful. Sad Angry

BarbiesBeaver · 08/10/2010 10:13

Sorry about your parents house Bangers. How utterly shite.

Sorry for droid too salts.

How come Cap'n Jack is still living and breathing? We obviously didn't do our work properly.

Where is Cinco?

Ivegotmrbitey · 08/10/2010 10:30

Oh so sorry HB mouldy little bastids Angry

rocketleaf · 08/10/2010 10:32

argh fucking bastards HB thats horrible. I hope you sort out all the admin side of it soon. Not much to be done re missing heirlooms unless they catch the buggers :( that is such a shame.

Boo although i understand your thinking you know I am sort of in the same boat. I am temp contract too, if I am lucky they will extend it until I am no longer able to waddle into work but I might be dolescumTM from jan which is a worry. and will not get sweet ML package or owt. TB's job used to be safes safes but since the cuts in edumacation no ones is. All very worrying esp as i am the 'main breadwinner' of the household. I spose its a bit diff as this is my first and you have to take MiniBoo into consideration. Maybe have a little break and reassess the situation in the new year?

Ariesgirl · 08/10/2010 10:33

Bloody hell HB am so furious on your behalf and for your poor folks. Some people are utter scum. These are the ones in MY new society would be on hard labour doing things like cleansing pavements and verges of dog shit, or scrubbing graffiti off toilets. So mad Angry

OP posts:
LadyGoneGaga · 08/10/2010 10:37

HB I'm so sorry. It's a real shitter isn't it, makes you feel violated. Bastard burglars broke into my Dad's house and stole all the electrical stuff because they knew the house was empty. How did they know? They read the obituaries, he'd died the month before. Fcking cnts. These people have no morals at all.

Boo as the others said, you would prob manage and you don't know how long it will take. I just wanted to offer the other view but am sure you've come to the right decision for you.

Cinco I know. Alive AND visiting schools! I reckon we've been shagging an imposter Blush

ginhag · 08/10/2010 10:38

Oh head how horrible. Your poor parents :(

Headbanger · 08/10/2010 10:54

Fanks laydeez. Have gone into super-efficient admin-bot overdrive and will prolly have a good weep next week when it's all over! Could've been worse but yes, the thorough thorough bunch of cunts. The thing that really made me Sad was that they took the little wee ring my Dad gave my Mum when he visited her in hospital the day after their first daughter was born. Oh and my Dad just phoned up to rather wearily ask if there was any sign of his grandfather's watch (there isn't).

LGG, that is HORRENDOUS and makes me want to spit.

Muser · 08/10/2010 11:05

Oh that's really shitty Heads, utter bastards.

LadyGoneGaga · 08/10/2010 11:10

When are they back from hols HB? So shit, will have ruined their nice holiday too. Wankers. You are an ace daughter for sorting this all out for them.

Ariesgirl · 08/10/2010 11:34

An eggy question. Eggy FFJ appeared the other morning and we SedWI in the afternoon. After that I didn't see it again. These days, as I am clearly a dried up old hag, I only seem to notice it once. Does anyone know if when I noticed it was the exact moment of ovulation. And was the afternoon shag in fact No Use? How long does other people's last for? ( salty my angel, you are exempt from this question. And by the way, I still haven't received my jam jar). Does two hours of egg white mean my eggs are of the powdered variety.

Pol I intend to get to grips with TCOYF this afternoon. I'm var sorry if I have been crap - I've been so busy with insurance claims etc. Pah.

OP posts:
PollyPoo · 08/10/2010 11:45

RieRie I think the eggy stuff is there before you ovulate so you should be ok. Mine would dry up the day of ovulation, so I reckon if you shagged when you had the eggy stuff, then the timing is good. Go baybeeRie! Don't apologise me dear, although I'm sorry you were distracted from it by crappy boring things rather than fun exciting stuff.

monkeechops · 08/10/2010 12:34

Hello

Sorry some of you are feeling rubbish. Will fresh meat help? I'm a long term stalker lurker who started the great offspring challenge at the start of the summer at the grand old age of Thirty Five.

I need some advise from the BESHperts. (That doesn't really work, does it?) May i join? I have my BESHtionnaire at the ready .

Ariesgirl · 08/10/2010 12:37

Hello Monkee. Post the bugger
