Have had entertaining morning trying to pee into a water bottle then reading the instructions that said it has to settle for half an hour and come to room temp. Had to sit in my office clutching my handbag terrified that pee was going to start leaking out and getting an odd look from my Thursday roomie. Did the LH test in the end and nowt, this is not looking good for the big shagfest weekend by the sea.

I got the cheapo internet sticks and they seem to be working (even though I was vay, vay dubious of their efficacy when they were telling me nothing but F*ck off, you having a laugh?). I started using the clearblue Digital ones but quickly became clear I was going to bankrupt myself since I went through a whole packet with not a sniff. am doing 2 cheapos a day but surge has lasted a good 24 hours so think 2 a day not necessary but cheap enough to for the reassurance.

HB can't you make it your mission to hang out in t'other office?

Hmm not much wiser! I got them off Amazon and this link should take you there. They are just generic LH measuring sticks but pretty easy apart from the whole half an hour for your wee to cool down part.

Well it has to be at room temperature according to the instructions and they recommend allowing half an hour for it to reach this desirable state. Am I the only one suspecting I have got funny test sticks designed by a sicko who wants there to be more women in the world trying to hide the fact they have bottles of wee in their handbags?

Mine used to say room temp Mr Bitey but I never bothered waiting for that and they seemed to turn fine at body temp. But maybe try testing slightly later in the day; I got better, stronger results in the afternoon than in the morning.

Oh, and gagalicious is quite right; you want to start the shagfest and then have the sticks turn. Cos then the swimmerz iz all up there ready and waiting for El Eggo (I have no idea what language I think I'm speaking)

Biteyface I think that instruction only applies for if you were using refrigerated pee (say if you couldn't do the test there and then) so it's not cold from the fridge as this would stop the antibodies on test from reacting with the LH. Body temp is fine for the pee, in fact is ideal.
