Well I am pleased to report the physio worked wonders and I managed to walk to and from the pub incorporating dinner and a bottle glass of wine whilst there. God love him, TGB let me watch Strictly when we got back (with more wine and some vodka) then we managed a shag before putting X Factor on. Praise be to Sky +

rocketleaf · 10/10/2010 00:41

wow truffkin the PERFECT evening :o

I have just got back from dropping TB at a 'club' where he is going to see the DJ he thinks is great. I nearly went too but seeing as I had changed from wedding outfit into comfy pants (trackies) and coldnt get parked I decided against. Plus I can't really be arsed. Not sleepy now tho. Truffs are you still there?

Truffkin · 10/10/2010 01:39

Have just finished watching x factor but assume I've missed you Rocket The usual mix of strange, awful and the odd good performance. Also I massively heart Dannii Minogue.

PrincessBoo · 10/10/2010 08:58

I too am jealous of your evening Truffkin. My man is becoming a TV fascist. We will have to have 'words'.

Headbanger · 10/10/2010 09:34

Now that actually is the perfect night Truffles, am most Envy. The OM's a bit of a telly Nazi too Boo, but in a restrained sort of way that involves sitting on the other sofa pointedly reading the sort of book I ought to be reading, and making me feel guilty Grin.

RIGHT. Am tackling The Final Twenty Pages, a week later than I thought, then off to watch Dagenham Girls as a treat .

rocketleaf · 10/10/2010 11:27

Ah head passive AGGRESSIVE tele nazi-ism Acsherly TB has recorded all of Xfactor. I am perplexed as to why really and I really can't be arsed to watch 2.5 hrs of that tripe. I sort of lose interest after the auditions really.

TB had an awful night, the dj was excellent but afterwards as they were on their way home a friend of a friend got punched out by some 15 yr olds and hit his head, was knocked out for 5 mins and bled profusely. It was a mess :( He didn't get in til 5 am and then I couldn't get back to sleep. I hate town :(

Ariesgirl · 10/10/2010 11:50

Shit! The little fuckers. Did anyone manage to punch the 15 year olds? This sort of thing makes me SO sad :(. We had a friend who was set upon by some little twat when he was out in Bath and he turned the tables and had him up against a wall, yelling in his face. The kid ran off crying. There's a lot to be said for rural living.

OP posts:
rocketleaf · 10/10/2010 11:56

TB managed to grab one of them but then he ran off. Problem was that they didn't really see what happened, just turned round as these lads ran past and they saw him on the floor. Also I believe the guy was being a bit gobby prior to this so he might have provoked them (not that thats any excuse) Horrible experience, TB was pretty freaked out when he got in, apparently some girls were laughing when the guy was bleeding on the floor and that just made his blood boil and he lost the plot with them a bit :(

Ariesgirl · 10/10/2010 12:06

I despair. What is wrong with people?

OP posts:
rocketleaf · 10/10/2010 12:15

Honestly, it really brings back all the reasons I ever had for not wanting to have kids to bring them up in this fucked up society (bit bloody late now) When I dropped him off in town last night at about 11.30 it was just full of hideous people falling about, wandering in front of the car etc, I actually found it quite funny at the time, some of the girls outfits are hilarious (why do people go out on heels so high they cant actually walk?). But now I find it a bit sinister in hindsight. God I am sound old :(

Ariesgirl · 10/10/2010 12:54

I agree with you completely. I'm full of angst this morning about this sick world. For years those are the sorts of reasons I gave for not wanting kids when people asked. And people always looked startled and muttered something about we need to have good people from good parents. But how do you stop your offspring from getting in with people like the above? Move to hamlet on Dartmoor and home educate? No TVs? No computers?

Headbanger · 10/10/2010 13:04

Oh Rocket that's awful Sad Angry. Difficult to be optimistic about human beans sometimes isn't it?

rocketleaf · 10/10/2010 13:14

aries i sort of got talked round by that argument. I am pretty sangfroie (sp?) about how my kid will turn out. All you can do is do your best to instill some values and then hope they make up their own mind to be a good person. TBs rogue sister is proof that sometimes you just can't control it. I am more worried about random violence from some nut job or just missguided yoof when they are out and about minding their own business. I bet the kid that last saw someone he lamped lying on the floor unconcious and bleeding from the head is shitting himself right now. Or at least I hope he is feeling some remorse.

Dartmoor and home schooling does sound good tho. :(

Truffkin · 10/10/2010 13:19

Horrible night Rocket and I imagine your OH was shaken up seeing his friend like that. TGB was punched by someone we knew (anothet friend of a friend) and hit his head as he fell. I've never been more scared in my life as there was so much blood. The police encouraged him to press charges but he didn't and I still wonder if we did the right thing. He sounds like the kind of lad for whom a fight is part of his usual Saturday piss up. Luckily we've not seen him since and I dread to think how it will be if we do.

On a less morbid note, it's Sunday today. What have all ma BESHies got planned on this day of rest?

P.S Whilst watching Strictly last night TGB wads stating opinions and everythinh! I think getting him slightly drunk before watching is the way forward!

rocketleaf · 10/10/2010 13:26

Off for a big sunday roast celebration of our friends birthday. Hey it's 10/10/10 today!

Truffkin · 10/10/2010 13:36

Bloody hell, apologies for crap spelling at the end of last post. Am typing on my iphone and the last sentence sometimes goes off the page Blush

Am hoping for Sunday roast action too. Think an autumnal park walk followed by red wine and roast beef is the way forward!

TwinkleToes76 · 10/10/2010 17:02

Thanks for the congrats BESHies. Doesn't quite feel real yet.

Hope your other half has recovered from last night's scariness Salad. It is hard to comprehend the violence we inflict on each other.

I'm watching Alice in Wonderland with my daughter and dozing, just need someone to cook me roast dinner now...

Ivegotmrbitey · 10/10/2010 19:43

limps in suffering extreme case of sperm and or alcohol poisoning, sits down in bucket of ice, snuffles laudenum and settles down to seeing what everyone else did this weekend

LadyGoneGaga · 10/10/2010 20:02

Oooh, are you on the 2WOOFL now, MrB?

What's all this about random violence, Rocket? Am glad you decided not to join them. What a bunch of c*nts. Youth of today etc. Is he ok now after his roast?

Truffkin · 10/10/2010 20:23

Oooh BiteMe WOOFL away! I've had egg white for last 2 days and got plenty of SWI in (will go again tonight to be sure) so hoping for temp rise tomorrow then I'll be WOOFLing along with you too. GaGa are you doing the same now? Didn't you lay an egg just a few short days ago?

rocketleaf · 10/10/2010 20:23

:o at sperm poisoning. and the 2WOOFLing begins...

I'm glad I didn't too lady. Except if I HAD stayed out then he would have been getting a lift home with me and we both might have swerved the whole thing. He's fine except on the way back in to meet up for our roast we had to drive past the place (and blood stain) where it happened :( NOT good but he's OK. Hows everything in the Gaga household?

Can't be arsed with work tomorrow hags. I have an Important Meeting all day which I suspect is going to be fine work wise but grim on the bilious front.

milanomum · 10/10/2010 20:31

Do you want some gin with that ice, mrmunchy ?
ricketygreenthing One of the reasons I talk myself out of moving back to the UK is because people can be so aggressive there. I think it's about 10 years behind over here so when it swings round, maybe eng-er-land will be all quiet and polite again. Last time I was out there I was really intimidated by the hoards of women brandishing pints of wine and just...well...looking 'hard'.

I often wonder how parents manage to 'know' their children so little, or care even less about what kind of people they are turing out to be. S'depressing.
Am I going to need Sky to stay on this fred 'cos I don't get all your crap lovely TV? It wasn't on the BESHtionnaire...

JumpTheFairy · 10/10/2010 21:01

Yo yo yo biatches. Wot do I see here? A bunch of noobs? Or is it name changers?

Heloo, I have been gone for a while... again. This new freaking job is keeping me well busy. Apart from that there is not much new my end. Still the appointment December 1st... Wasn't Barbarella gonna be my FC buddy?

Tarty sorry to hear about your experience. When we are ready we can share the pain and fear of future interventions, though I understand if you don't as I am still deep in Dee Nile. Akshooly, I do not know where I am, as I suddenly started doubting the whole TTC thing... on that note... absinthe anyone?

Ivegotmrbitey · 10/10/2010 21:05

Feeling slightly better thanks to BESHie tender ministrations<

Congrats twinks and it sounds like you're having a perfect weekend and hope someone has cooked you a roast by now?

Cripes, what a hectic weekend people have been having. Hate scary drunk fighting- it's the reason I won't go to town anymore.

HB I had the green once it was when I had a really bad cold and I think all sticky parts were a bit green and runny. [boak emoticon]

Yes this will be my first ever 2WOOFL, am very excited and convinced the pokey pain in my lower abdomen is a baybee growing and not a urine infection from three SWIs and a skinful of alcohol!

LadyGoneGaga · 10/10/2010 21:15

Yes, Truffs, egg was laid on Thursday so 3dpo. 2WOOFLing just getting going. Have already decided have tender breasts and skanky breath. Diffed, obv. Grin Think there are a big gang laying at same time - Rie, HB, Bitey and Truff - anyone else?

Things brighter today, Sprocket. Had a big old cry yesterday afternoon. Spilt's very sad news brought everything back a bit, so sad for her. But took MiniG to a kids party at softplay this afternoon so made me much more cheery. Now enjoying ma vin rouge following ultimate autumn comfort food, beef stew, mash and dumplings. How are you doing? Still vomity?

I don't do this x-Factor nonsense either Justonecornetto so you're not alone.

Legolas'Whore welcome back.
