Oh, re thrush 12pt - I used to get a lot, and it's wretched, and this definitely isn't it. One day when I'm even drunker I'll tell you exactly what it does to your flange, at its very worst....Grin Blush

Ariesgirl · 08/10/2010 22:56

NYA def NBU.

Yellow is better than green I feel.

Haven't had it for some years, not since we went at it often. I have a theory that you develop a kind of weakness for it, once you have had a couple of bad bouts and then you need to be careful. Since we've been TTC I haven't had it.

Oh I've had thrush descriptions from our own dear Curly. The phrase "cottage cheese" was mentioned a couple of times.

OP posts:
Headbanger · 08/10/2010 22:59

Har, and worse. Cottage cheese, certainly. But my God the effect on the flange-flaps, after days of itching ... best not to dwell on it

Headbanger · 08/10/2010 23:00

Oh and re. cystitis - I guess it's possible, since it's a bacterial infection, that it just sort of hangs around for a horribly long time, sometimes dormant, and now you're shot of it? Hope so, pal. I remember your description of one of your worst bouts and it fair made the eyes water.

Ariesgirl · 08/10/2010 23:03

As mine are now at the thought of the shredded flange flaps....Shock

Right. I have won the Euromillions so drinks are on me.

Unfortunately we won the smallest amount possible (£6!) so those drinks are two big bottles of White Lightening. Enjoy!

Ariesgirl · 08/10/2010 23:05

Are you pissed? What have you been supping?

MrA came back yesterday evening after going down Tesco's for wine with some British rose, which cost £2.88. Now I am not a wine snob or even anyone who is remotely fussy, but I did raise an eyebrow. It tasted like liquid pear drops.

Not shredded, Aries. Swollen. Right, I don't care: I have no pride left, and will now share. You know how normally (assuming I am normal!) they're soft, and not wrinkled precisely but sort of like fabric that hasn't been ironed? Well, when I had it very badly - over ten years ago now, after a long course of antibiotics - they SWELLED UP until it they were puffed up, smooth and firm, like deflated ballons that had been blown up again. It was HORRENDOUS. Couldn't close my legs Grin. Strong recollection of lying weeping, legs akimbo, whilst the OM applied live yogurt from the fridge. Reader, he married me a year later. That's love.

Am I going to post this?! Oh hell, might as well. Here I go:

Headbanger · 08/10/2010 23:07

OooooOOooooOOoooo congrats, Muse! Ah, White Lightening. Allow me to re-live my teens (if not the Great Thrush Episode as outlined below Grin)

Muser · 08/10/2010 23:08

Oh my. That is love Heads.

Ariesgirl · 08/10/2010 23:08

Holy fuck! Inner or outer? Or both?

I admire the man even more now.

OP posts:
Headbanger · 08/10/2010 23:10

Inner, Aries. That's the terrible, terrible thing. They were by that stage outer too, of course. (at this point I imagine with pitiful clarity how an old soldier might feel, recollecting the worst depredations of the trenches...)

Headbanger · 08/10/2010 23:12

(And he is a bit brilliant Muse, I must say. When I was a bit tearful in the wreckage of the break-in this morning, he found an old English song-book under a heap of books and treated me to a heartfelt if ill-tuned rendition of "Oh The Roast Beef of Olde England; Oh That Olde English Roast Beef" Confused Grin)

Muser · 08/10/2010 23:12

And with that lovely image I am going to bed. Night all.

Ariesgirl · 08/10/2010 23:13

Goodness me. On reflection, I'll take the bloody, cloudy urine.

OP posts:
Muser · 08/10/2010 23:13

Ah, cross posts. The lovely image was the swollen flaps. But I think I'd rather go with the actually lovely image of songs about roast beef.

Headbanger · 08/10/2010 23:14

Good night Muser, dear. Love to you both! XX

Ariesgirl · 08/10/2010 23:15

Night night Aunty Muse. We luffs you.

OP posts:
Headbanger · 08/10/2010 23:17

LUFFS! LUFFS!

Ariesgirl · 08/10/2010 23:18

LUFFFFFFFS! I luffs you too

OP posts:
Ariesgirl · 08/10/2010 23:19

IS ANYONE ELSE OUT THERE? HUH?

OP posts:
Headbanger · 08/10/2010 23:19

AND YOU TOO!

Headbanger · 08/10/2010 23:22

I've DONE IT with the message envelope thing!

Ariesgirl · 08/10/2010 23:24

Have done it back. Or should we FB?
