So near, yet so far! Holiday villa for those waiting TTC#1 having suffered mc

Hi all,

I need to take a holiday with some lovely peeps in the same position; I'm TTC#1 but had 2 mc's this year and now discovered my luteal phase is only 9 days (anything under 10 considered a defect) and probably the reason that I cannot retain a pregnancy.

If you have yet to be blessed with motherhood because mc has cruelly taken away your chance so far, then this is the place to retreat for some R & R whilst your body recovers.

Pull up a sun lounger, and lie back for some lighthearted banter and support whilst monitoring cycles or undergoing investigation and wash down the Vit B6, Agnus Castus, Progesterone and Clomid with a lovely vodka glass of sparkling spring water!!

ah babe that sucks! IVF does sound like a good idea and as you said much better odds...you just need a little helping hand and I'm sure that much longed for bean will be all yours. In the meantime enjoy the G&T, I am enjoying a lovely little Rioja, mmmmm! cheers Grin

kat2504 · 28/09/2010 21:15

Oh dear it's an epidemic in here sounds like a lot of ailments, hope those of you with the nasty flu are better soon - keep downing the lemsips. You are all off to the hotel spa for a nice massage!

I have been attacked by an evil nasty wasp last night. On my inner thigh!! Am in mega pain and itching like crazy now. Evil thing!

MamaPower · 29/09/2010 11:58

Kat I shouldn't laugh but I had visions of you thinking that that little gentle touch you thought was the sensation of dh gently working his fingers inside your thigh and working towards... and it actually turned out to be a bloody wasp, not exactly what you had in mind to have between your thighs hey babe Grin Grin Grin
Go get some anthistamine and stay away from wasps, they're bloody grumpy, sleepy and agressive little barstewards at this time of year!! xx

Ha Ha MP very funny. when I say last night, I actually meant "early evening" and I was still at work at the time! So I wasn't imagining any such thing. Have a ridiculous 20 cm rash/swelling now and have been to the docs for a load of pills. Ouch!!!!

Hope all you lurgy ladies are feeling better today. I'm just waiting for a visit from our favourite Auntie. Pretty much certain she is coming to stay, so wish she would get a move on so I can plan some special days for next month!

Velvetcu · 29/09/2010 18:07

Oooh Kat sounds painful!!

Question: Why does your body provide stupid symptoms to get you wondering??? I had some streaky brown stuff today and its way too early for AF......isn't it?

owlshoes · 30/09/2010 16:41

Hello you lovely lot.

Velvet YES - it is bloody irritating. I had all manner of symptoms this month that I couldn't possibly have imagined including what was surely a bit of implantation bleeding but no; apparently not, and AF arrives a day early (yay!). I am now suspecting it was a chemical pregnancy which is v.annoying.

Kat Ouch indeed. Wasps are all evil.

Is everyone recovering from the plague yet?

Am trying to plan next month's strategy as we are going on hols the week of the SWI. As I pretty much know I will ovulate that week, am considering leaving the CBFM behind and just trying to relax instead (which I am shit at, basically).

Not sure I can bear to be without my comforting gadget though, I've grown quite attached to it. Any thoughts?

MamaPower · 30/09/2010 23:43

I am finally lurgy free!! Thank you all for supply of lemsip!

I hope you killed the bugger for stinging you Kat?

Velvet, I think mother nature is a gruel biatch! I have sore boobs and cramps and there is no way it happened this month as me and dh were not together at the right time!! No wonder we all drive our selves nuts!

Owl im in the same boat as you next cycle in fact, if my cycle stays the same, I shall ovulate somewhere between here and kuala Lumpa...2 night stopover en route to oz!! O plan on lots of SWI before hand and hope the little blighters are there and waiting {wink] Either that or join the mile high club Grin Grin Grin

hugs and cocktails all round xx

Oh bloody hell, that really is a tricky one - let's face it, you can't exactly do the legs in the air afterwards thing in a aeroplane loo. You would probably get arrested. Or hopelessly stuck. Grin

AuroraLeigh · 01/10/2010 11:07

Morning all, am back from a lovely holiday to find that you all seem to have succumbed to some kind of lurgy! Hope you are all beginning to recover from colds/flu/wasps etc in time for the weekend. I have just made some sweet potato and coconut soup with parmesan and tomato bread, if anyone would like some (cakes will be baked tomorrow).
Am OPK-ing a lot. Beginning to think I will never ovulate again. (see earlier post about me being impatient).

Wombat33 · 01/10/2010 12:06

Ooh Aurora that sounds yummy, yes please! Glad you had a good hol. Hope you feel better soon.

mammp/owl humm, mile high club... well it would be a good story to tell the resulting DC!!

AuroraLeigh · 01/10/2010 12:26

Getting arrested or getting stuck would be an even better story to tell the DC, but on the other hand might not get your hols off to the best start...

owlshoes · 01/10/2010 19:40

Well timed, Aurora , as your soup will go nicely with the pumpkin seed and spelt flour loaf I have just made (okay, we do too much cooking).

Are you OPKing with cheapies? I cannot believe the difference in price between the cheapies and the (for example) ClearBlue ones. Christ on a Bike. It's cynical and exploitative of us POAS-fixated women, that's what it is. Have decided I'm not taking any of the damn things on hols, I'm convinced they're actually making it worse.

nickstermum · 01/10/2010 21:08
