Come along, we haven't got all day. Pop off your blazers and straw boaters for a mo and listen up. As Head Girl, I think you ought to know that my dear chum Darrell Rivers tells me that we're really letting the side down with our lack of baybee-winning. To that end, instead of prep and lacrosse, we'll be TTC. I know some of us are losing hope that we'll ever win the Motherhood Cup for our house, but chins up and think of England! We don't won't to end up like the bitter, childless, dried-up old spinsters running this place, do w... oh, hello Matron! Yes, yes, we're going now...

Super! We've been given the attic dorm - bagsy the bed by the window, what! We won't be disturbed when we're enjoying midnight feasts, unbridled lesbianism, pillow fights and sneaking in fellows from the nearby boy's school for some ghastly dreadfulness.

So let's pop some Joyce Grenfell on the gramophone and crack open the tuck boxes! Mater's made me a huge ginger cake and oooh, I see someone's brought pontefract cakes! Yummo! Humbugs, sherbet, elderflower fizz, eccles cakes, a whole slab of choccy - what a simply smashing haul! Hmmm, this ginger beer smells suspiciously gin-like...

Oh yes

Cluster post Alert

Do you see what you've done Cass none of the other gels will come into the dorm because you've stunk the place out....

Casserole · 31/08/2010 20:27

ok, ok...

Is that better???

saltyair · 31/08/2010 20:30

Lovely. Good show dear Gel.

Now, what high jinx are the others getting up to d'you think?

Casserole · 31/08/2010 20:44

Well Pencil has her parentals over, I think. So knowing her she's up to her giblits in all sorts of incredible homecooked delicacies.

And 12pt is watching a random show about sealife. I know this because somehow she's sucked me into watching it too. But it's just turned nasty so now I'm flicking over to Holby.

saltyair · 31/08/2010 20:46

And everyone else? Hmm??

saltyair · 31/08/2010 20:51

Holby just made me cry

Casserole · 31/08/2010 20:54

The sealife thing made me cry.

saltyair · 31/08/2010 21:00

Twice.

Saladbomb · 31/08/2010 21:07

mrsFC love your story, I really understand your logic (list of worse things etc) but I don't think I am ready to let go yet. I wonder if it will take until I do let go for me to get diffed.

lozzer please post your list of FC questions as I don't know what to ask :( Can someone also pls tell me what the official term for dildocam is as I haven't ever had one, think that I probably should and don't really want to refer to it as 'dildocam' outside of these walls.

HOPON!!!! I LOVE the new handle, c'mer and give us a snog.

cass sorry you are feeling ropey again my lovey, stop eating all that fish paste and things might improve (you wrongun)

salty sick you say? hmmm, sounds promising. (holby city made you cry? you MUST be diffed)

Saladbomb · 31/08/2010 21:13

Also on the hair front, I am considering getting an angled bob, so I looked on google images and keep getting pictures of poshspice. It has quite put me off :(

Casserole · 31/08/2010 21:18

Oh, my manners, sorry. Hello to MrsFC . I liked your story.

Dildocam's an ultrasound, is all rocketrocket so probably either internal u/s or vaginal u/s, depending on your fear of the big V word... Grin

And on the other thing, I think all you can do is let go as much as you can in order for life to go on as much as it can. I think when you're locked in a monthly win/lose cycle letting go of that is immensely difficult. I never really managed. You have days or more and less perspective on it, don't you? And I think you've just got to be kind to yourself in that.

Saladbomb · 31/08/2010 21:34

Ah duh, I think I might have to go the wear the dunce cap in the corner for a bit.

moomaker · 31/08/2010 21:36

Evening Gals,

Thanks Owl ~Shimmies Carlotta style up flag pole and rescues sock (ps wasn't she St Clare's?)

I knew there was a reason I dropped RE, not good in debates, kinda boshy {pushy and bossy in equal measures}

As for the fringe debate, I am with fringe, as I have four very visable (so well hidden) frown lines, tis genetic had them since is was 23. Now own a pair of (hello kitty) mini fringe straightener which fit in handbag, as my hair frizzez whenever it sees a cloud let alone a rain drop.

Had dildocam a few weeks ago, similar to a smear but without the scraping.

Cookery class practical tomorrow, so off to get M&S steak, chips, lemon souffle, and the red Le Frog wine- (my favorite combo)

Am at end of 2woofling but think I missed OV as stupid gits at the clinic booked O/H's squirt test mid cycle so he had to "keep it in his pants" for the 5 most fertile days.

ps think I might have taken the school thingy toooooooooo far, as brough 15-16yr teflon coated black pleated skirt from asda today. Ops.

Casserole · 31/08/2010 21:41

I was in a lecture about ultrasound the other week (there's 4 hours of my life I'm not ever getting back) and when the lecturer mentioned the internal version I, rather too loudly, said "Ah yes, dildocam , fond memories ..." Blush

Muser · 31/08/2010 21:45

Hahahaha.

moomaker · 31/08/2010 21:47

sniggggger

Saladbomb · 31/08/2010 21:55

:o cass just cheered me out of my doldrums regarding 'letting go' (and futility/impossibility of it all)

moo gah to ill timed jizz tests. ours were just after our hollibobs so no sun, sea, sex and sangria for us for that few days. was POO.

right i need to get another early night. still recovering from bloody mammoth walk yesterday.

Ariesgirl · 01/09/2010 00:29

"Aaaah - dildocam." Ha ha ha!

You're right - Moocow. Carlotta was St Clare's. She was the wild gypsy circus girl and I believe the actual book was Summer Term at St Clare's .

I have been for a lovely evening dans the pub with some friends who are staying nearby. Loyal readers may recall I had to bail yesterday evening's jollity because of a bad mood, extreme tiredness and nausea. What's this? you say. Well I have had some proper rest this afternoon and therefore have had a fab eve, being human and everything.

Talking of which, when is Mitchell back on our screens?

Saladbomb · 01/09/2010 07:22

ahh DON'T aries i finally got round to watching the last two episodes which i had been saving for a rainy day, yes i realise it has rained in the last 6 months) only to find that the bastard winter olympics had run over causing the V box to miss the last ten minutes of the last episode. So now I have no idea what happened with Lucy at the end. RRRRubbish.

laurielou · 01/09/2010 08:37

Morning!!

scorps hope you're OK this morning. Tis a ray of light about your local FC. Although lets hope you don't have to go down that delightful route.

cass your fish talk made me sick, & I'm not 2WOOLFing or anything. I hope you start to feel better soon.

Salad so far my list of questions for FC are:

  1. Why the fecking feck aren't I diffed?

That's it really.

Think I've actually referred to dildocam in the FC. It just seems so natural to say that.

A gruff manly manager sent me an meeting appointment which clashed with hospital appointment. He said he hoped it wasn't anything serious etc. He wasn't prying, just being nice. I giggled all embarrassed & mumbled something about follow up appointment, I hope it wasn't serious, uh leave me alone - twas tres awkward.

Tis my little godson's 5th birthday today. He is just gorgeous. We went to see him last night & he was telling us about his auntie's "magic boobies" (just had baby & is BF).

On that note I shall leave you be.

Oh, is there a spare hot cross bun pliz?

Orchid12 · 01/09/2010 08:44

Morning all.

It's been a while since I've posted and there's too much for me to catch up on so apologies for not name checking.

Speaking of names - I came out with boring old Sally too...

Scropy glad you've got a plan together for getting round the stupid PCT rules. Am giving you all my best BESH loving for a diffment before you need to go down that route.

Cass sorry you're feeling crap, all that talk of fish paste is making me want to vom and I'm not even at the point of SWI yet!

I'm on CD13 today so am hoping things start to notch up a gear soon. I don't want another cycle where I OV around day 26 - it's just too long to blooming well wait! I had my first lot of needling last Sat. Lady was very nice, although I can't now see her until 27th Sept because she's away Sad.

12point glad you're feeling more chipper and enjoyed the night out!

Muser · 01/09/2010 09:03

MrsFC we are about to start a new Deli thread and would like you to officially join and hang out. Pretty please, come hang with me and Drom and gin and Medee and Cass in the cool 2011 gang?

downonthefarm · 01/09/2010 09:22

I'll be disorganised gal who already has mud on her uniform, forgot to get the right books for the term and is late for everything.

Or everything is hopefully late. (Not yet though).

Score, we too had a "no" to IVF. In our PCT you have to be under 37.5 when you start the cycle. Confused I'm afraid we're not as determined as you are on that front, and are both ok that this is just a step that won't happen for us. At the moment it's not something that is an issue, we both feel it to be too intrusive for us, but understand others feel differently.

Salad & Moo I think we've discovered another cost saving strategy by the health authorities. Wait for women TTC to come and ask for help, then organise tests that mean they can't TTC for the months that they're under investigation, and oh whoops, they're too old to be offered help at the end of it. Hmm

Salty, am joining you on the 2WOOFL. CD23 of 23-26.
I felt sick yesterday and had to sit with my head between my knees. Was rediculously happy about it, but in reality it was probably related to being asked (with an hour notice) to give a presentation to a Japanese customer, and finding out 5 mins before hand that he didn't speak English.

Must study a foreign language this term.

downonthefarm · 01/09/2010 09:24

ridiculously Blush

owlshoes · 01/09/2010 09:48

Ooo, Lorry and HopOn , where have you guys been?

Salty - crying at Holby City = diffed and you know it.

FarmerGiles - did you use the Art of Mime? That would have been quality.

Ariel Glad you are cheerier today.

I have now finished sulking at beeping evil fucker (has not shown up yet but I have had the Official PMT Migraine and the Rage so it's definitely coming). No point in sulking really, que sera etc and am still hopeful of CBFM insta-diff next month.

I shall think positive thoughts instead and channel them in the direction of the mass-BESH FC visit that seems to be happening next week.
