DessieLou · 25/08/2010 20:54

Christ, there are babies and pregnant people everywhere!!!!! They are stalking me. There's even a pregnant woman on bloody Gok. Aaaaaaargh!!!
....and breathe....
Sorry about that folks. Feel better now. Hmm

highheelsandequations · 25/08/2010 21:28

HI girls,

Toooooo tired to do a proper reply to everyone but had to post a quick message (addicted, me? never!). So sorry for the me me, I am not being rude and will respond properly to all of you lovely ladies in die time!

Thanks for the info on caffeine and decaf coffee, I don't usually drink much caffeiene at all so thought it probably wouldn't hurt me too much to have a cup of decaf in the morning and stick to my fruit and herbal teas the rest of the time. Bizarrely I am missing the odd cup of tea the most, and I only used to drink tea maybe once or twice a week! I read somewhere that you shouldn't drink certain herbal teas when pregnant, anyone know if this is true or more nonsense off the internet?

I have some lovely red spots all along my jawline just now (it's where I tend to get them the most), painful and yucky! Whoever said about feeling like a teenager I hear you, think my skin's worse now than it ever was in my teens. I did have isotrexin gel from the doctor, which was quite good, but not to be used in pregnancy so stopped using it when started ttc.

I also have really sore boobs still (sorry if TMI!). Went to yoga this evening (then came home, made packed lunches for tomorrow, cut up fruit and grapefruit for tomorrow, made granola, did the dishes and tidied up for the cleaner, then finally sat down at 9pm! This is the first chance I've had to relax since I left for work at 7.15 this morning, I hate being back at work!) and was lying on my front for one of the positions and it was really uncomfortable verging on quite painful. I usually get sore boobs as FERTD symptom but sure they've usually got better by CD3. Hmm Any thoughts? Does this mean anything? Or am I just completely insane now so am fabricating pregnancy symptoms during my period???

Sorry, feeling a little stressed just now. Have a class that are driving me insane. Another class who are lovely but very demanding of attention. And another class who are lovely but with quite a few poor wee souls who really can't do maths. Seem to have no time for myself and am spending every waking minute worrying sbout what I have to do!

Think I've almost managed to sort out what we're doing for DPs birthday. Now I just need to try and get him to tell me what he'd like for presents, and then pass that on to his family, and my family ...

Right, going to stop whinging now and go away. Need to put my feet up and try to switch off for a little while. Will post a less selfish post tomorrow I promise.

2 days to the weekend! :)

So garden, I tried the ice trick and my hurty jaw spots are less sore today so thanks a million love! Hope you had a nice drink with Mr.GP. I am disappointed that you didn?t post under the influence. I was looking forward to that :)

truffkin ?did Daddy wee on you? Grin
I think I might have missed this (very bad memory!) but I don?t remember how long you have been waiting for ERTD?

hermyaYou sweet thing! Thanks for popping in and thinking of me. I?m sorry to hear you had a scary few days but glad you?re ok now. Can?t believe you are 31 weeks already Shock I remember sitting in the airport before I went to Thailand in February half term and logging on to MN from my phone to see how you had got on and seeing your BFP. It feels like 5 minutes ago!

womanly Hope day 2 of Clomid beings no nasty side effects and that you?re still feeling good.

dayz Where are you off on holiday? that will be a good distraction from the 2WW- how long are you away for? I did do a sneaky POAS last Friday and that got it out of my system!

glad those butterflies have not got you Grin :( about your friend leaving but hopefully she will be able to come and visit your new baby in 9 months time which will be the result of your continued shagging this month! dare you to ad dthat thread in AIBU...... Wink

lanky well done for going to the gym! You rock :) I didn?t go swimming last night but will try tonight and then I can relax as will have been three times this week. I frequently have those internal debates with myself and then get annoyed for spending so long thinking about stupid things! I am having very funny images of your CBFM being delivered to an airport! Could it go to Mr. L?s work? Thanks for asking how I?m feeling. I feel terrified and like I will burst into tears everytime I think about POAS tomorrow. Like steg said, I almost don?t want to do it because if I don?t do it and don?t get FERTD there is still a tiny bit of hope that I could be pregnant. I am definitely extra specially spotty and have bucketfuls of CM. Things I could be imagining are feeling sick and cramps. I?m sure I?m not imagining them but you can never quite trust yourself when you are TTC can you? I actually do feel very mad! :(

steg I totally understand your fear of POAS as I said above. After 16 cycles, you SO deserve this BFP. Everything is firmly crossed for you sweets. I can?t believe the shop was sold out of preg tests Shock Will you still get to do the test tomorrow before you go on camp. You deserve a medal for giving up your weekend to take those children camping.

cave jealous of your evening with Gok!

higheels You are so good with your packed lunches, fruit and granola :) Am v.impressed with your healthy lifestyle and that you can Maintain it after being so tired. It?s when I?m tired and busy at work that I eat crap when I get home so you are doing really well. I think that green tea is not meant to be good when you are TTC (don?t remember why!) but don?t know about during pregnancy. Sorry, you are so busy and stressed at work. I know the pain of awful classes:( What I used to like doing was setting an activity that the whole class could get on with and having a short ?interview? with each student. I would just spend a few minutes talking to each one, either outside the room if the class weren?t too mental or at my desk if they were, and just asked how they felt about my subject, what they enjoyed, any hobbies etc and I found that after I spent the time getting to know them, they were less likely to be a pain. Of course some still were and I just used to phone their parents after every lesson and dob them in Grin

josie Oh your poor doggy :( Bless her. Hope she gets lots of hugs today.

dessie tell me about babies being everywhere! The episode of Mad men I watched last night was all about a couple who couldn?t have a baby and they were going for tests and about a woman who had unexpectedly given birth. That was meant to be my light relief from my mentalling.

toria I did the same last week! My logic said if I POAS now even though I know it?s too early, I will then be able to wait until it?s due. If that?s not crazy, I don?t know what is! Heartburn you say.......Hmm Curious..... Wink

kaloki hope last minute wedding prep is going ok and that your cramps have stopped again.

zippys my darling, come back and let us know you?re ok xxx

PS. I had a few problems with the list today so apologies if it's wrongBlush

CaveMum · 26/08/2010 07:15

Morning ladies, thanks for the Smile on the list Flick, makes me feel very special.

highheels I do hope your evening got better! As the resident geek know-it-all I can tell you that it is Green Tea you should avoid when TTC (Gold Star for Flick!). Something in Green Tea can block the effectiveness of Folic Acid so they recommend no more than 1 cup a day.
There are herbal teas you should avoid too. According to my book you should avoid anything containing red raspberry leaf, southern-wood, wormwood, mugwort, barberry, mandrake root, juniper, pennyroyal, nutmeg, arbor vitae and senna (sounds like a shopping list for Harry Potter to me!).
Teas that are considered safe for ttc/pregnancy include peppermint, citrus and ginger.

I guess the rule of thumb is "if in doubt, leave it out".

highheelsandequations · 26/08/2010 07:54

Morning Miss flick. Please mark me present! Can't post as at work but back later. Happy thursday frolickers!

crazydayz · 26/08/2010 08:31

Morning Flick I am also present for the register!
I'm going to Greece for a week from Tuesday and ERTD would be due on the Sat!
Might have to take a stick or two to pee on while I'm there.

Back to catch up with the posts later.

CaveMum · 26/08/2010 08:34

Can I just ask if anyone else feels like they've gone to sleep and woken up in frickin' October?! The weather here is miserable! Chucking it down with rain and pretty darn chilly.

Bye bye summer!

LankyLegs · 26/08/2010 09:00

Cave Yes welcome to bloody winter! We have skipped autumn and summer?.

It?s freezing and miserable and its August?!

Highheels Chica ? I hope you feel better I was totally empathising whilst reading your post ? the weekdays feel like groundhog day ? does not seem right that we work more time than we have off!!

Flick you are totally entitled to feel the way you do. Honestly ? I am really feeling positive for you! I Hope it?s good news! Glad the ice thing helped!

I totally forgot to do the ice thing so my spots are still huge and I still look 13. Never mind hey.

For some reason we had no electricity in the flat this morning so I had to do my makeup in the dark! Got into to work this morning and discovered I had on WAY too much blusher ? that?s why people on the train were staring at me this morning?. I looked like a 13 year old spotty clown?..

JosieSmith1 · 26/08/2010 10:04

Morning everyone.

I didn?t ride last night! Blush, I let you down Lanky! I had a good reason though as I?d picked the dog up from groomers and it?s on the way to the yard so seemed daft to turn around and go home but I don?t like riding with the dog waiting in the car.

Steg good luck with finding a test!

Thanks Crazy but they tend to mess her up Sad, poor thing usually comes back covered in bruises. I?ve taken this afternoon off so I can look after her.

Toria I will certainly envisage poking her in the eye with something sharp! I had a good moan to DH last night so feeling better, plus being off this afternoon means I don?t have to look at her miserable face and she can complain about me behind my back aaaallll afternoon if she likes Grin. Sorry about your BFN but as you told me last time, it really is too early and it?s not over till it?s over! [fingers crossed emoticon]

Welcome to the nutty times Cavey! I was a perfectly normal person until we started TTC, now I turn into an obsessed freak at certain times of every month! Good luck though.

Crazy I?m in the same boat almost ? my best mate at work is leaving soon after 5 years working together. People call us partners in crime. She?s going travelling so I?m happy for her but really Sad at the same time. She?s the only one near my age range too so I?ll have no one my own age to talk to Sad

Poor you Highheels, hope you are feeling better today!

Well I think that?s me caught up! We are picking up some baby stuff from SiL next week. She said she?d keep it for us so we?ve got a cot and bouncer thing, but when she said the cot will need a new mattress as it?s not suitable for a new baby my stomach did a little flip! I know it?s bad luck to have it but it?s going in the loft, and things are so expensive we couldn?t afford to say no. It feels a bit daft seeing as I?m not even pg yet but if all goes to plan it?ll come in very handy!

womanlytales · 26/08/2010 10:52

Hello everyone,
I am taking a few days off work to usher in the winter - it would seem!!!!!
Best of luck to all of you poasing this weekend. It isn't easy with all those hormones buzzing so hang in there, lift that chin and smile. Love the line about it aint over till its over. :)
Am on second day of clomid - taking it from CD2 - CD6 this cycle. So far so good except for a pair of sore boobs.
Every day I ask my DH if he thinks I could be pregnant and then give him my guilt stricken face of taking clomid.... When will the madness stop, I ask you. This is really some kinda cornerstone to mark on that road of ttc - insanity and it would read....after this point, despite having your ERTD you will still suffer from delusions of being pregnant.
Joy :)

gardenpixie · 26/08/2010 11:19

Morning Frolickers,

Flick really glad the ice worked - hurrah! It's really funny that all these boffins at work look very spoddy however they all have fantastic skin so they know their stuff I think. They reckon it takes a few days of icing (the more you can do it the better, but it does make the spot go redder than normal afterwards hence most people don't do it in the day) to get rid of the blighters.

And sorry I didn't do drunken posting last night; I considered it but thought I was FAR too tipsy Smile

DessieLou have the pg stalkers left you alone today? I was sorry they were harrassing you yesterday ... not fun at all!

Highheels booooooo to your day yesterday. The post about the wardrobe door just bloody topped it all off! I hope you are having a better day today - am pouring you some happiness tea (after checking all its ingredients are suitable for TTCing)

HRHCavey yes it is actually autumn. How? Why? It was too cold for my little cat to go out this morning - and she's fairly hardy [sad cat face emoticon]

Lanky what on earth happened to your electricity? Did it leave in protest at rubbish weather?

Womanly I too had a wobble about clomid and being pg. However I decided given I was taking it because I haven't managed to get knocked up, that I just needed to relax! My (.)(.) are slightly sore too - like a needy and attention seeking nightmare, I emailed my consultant about it yesterday and she said it is totally normal as the clomid makes your body think you aren't producing enough hormones so everything goes into overdrive.

Not much news from the Garden household - still feeling brilliant on the clomid / vitB6 combination and slept really soundly for 10 hours last night which is amazing for me! (Usually a very light sleeper and only manage 6 hrs or so).

It's Mr G's birthday on the 3rd so am currently thinking about what to get for him. Fortunately he just wants a quiet dinner party with a few friends on the actual day so that's not too hard to sort out.

Right, off to do some work (REALLY have to today as have managed to do shockingly little this week)! Blush

Have good Thursdays and I hope you all keep dry

Grin
tryingasofthen · 26/08/2010 11:44

sorry im late miss flick doctors this morning!

implant now out Grin!

v happy thursday

gardenpixie · 26/08/2010 11:56

Hurrah tryingasofthen Grin

Baby dust all round xx

Truffkin · 26/08/2010 12:28

Here, miss.

Good morning frolickers and happy Thursday (the weekend's so close I can almost taste it)

Good stuff Trying will be interested to see how it goes for you, given my lack of any ERTD action post implant removal

Flick it's been almost 6 weeks now and am giving it another 2 before going back for drugs to force the issue. I do like being periodless (and did for the time I was using implanon) but it's not very conducive to baby making!

highheels what a shitter of a day! Hope today works out better for you.

Steg hope you find a test and get peeing ASAP

No less than 3 ladies in my department announced pregnancies yesterday (there are 16 of us and 5 are men!) with one being a 'happy accident'. I told my husband when I got home and he said, "Does that mean you can't get pregnant then?" It did cross my mind that it would be really rubbish for work to try to cover so many jobs if I was off as well, but it's kind of bad luck right? I can't give up trying because other people have had success, who knows how long they were planning for.

Am off out for catch up drinks tonight with a friend so will am preparing for hungover Friday feelings (glad our canteen does an excellent fry up) then it's the weekend and we get an extra day. Can't bloody wait!

CaveMum · 26/08/2010 12:28

garden I know what you mean, it's too addictive!

Can I just say how much I am loving the new Robbie/Gary song! I feel like I'm 14 again!
The video is genius too - more than a little "Brokeback Mountain"!

More here

felicityFlick · 26/08/2010 13:11

Hello Sweet peas,

Sorry you're having such bleurghhh weather. I do love the autumn but even I wouldn't like it in August!

I had not seen that song cave I love it already! V. chuffed that I got a gold star from the TTC guru, am a big teachers pet!

truffkin I can't believe you had three announcements in one day Shock Nope, don't let it stop your trying. Enjoy your drinks this eve :) I'm sure your FERTD will be here before two weeks are out.

Congrats on implant coming out trying- now you can get cracking!

Morning garden I'll keep persevering with the ice thanks! Glad you are feeling great still- very Envy of your ten hours kip!

lanky! Grin at 13 year old, spotty clown! I also look like a teenager. What is with all of us and our skin at the min?!

If anyone fancies a Thursday laugh is the funniest thing I've seen in AGGEESS but then my sense of humour resembles that of a five year old at times!

crazydayz · 26/08/2010 13:50

Flick That clip was hilarious especially the two ladies at the end, wasn't sure one of them was going to be able to get out!

Garden Glad to hear that you are feeling fabulous.

Cavemum I'm not appreciating this weather much either, I don't mind Autumn normally but this is just rain and dampness everywhere.

I'm having a bit of a weird day! Has anyone else had to tell people at work that they are trying because of the type of job they do? I could potentially be exposed to radiation and hazardous gases and chemicals doing my job. I really didn't want to tell anyone but today was put in an awkward situation by not wanting to be involved in something due to the potential for exposure and am wondering if I should tell a few people or just hope that no-one notices I'm avoiding stuff or thinks I'm a lazy baggage! Rant over Grin! Please let me know your thoughts ladies!

alien06 · 26/08/2010 14:03

Hey people, hope you are all ok. I know I don't post much but am keeping up with all the chat, in fact I have to pop in everyday to see how everyone is :0)

Things with moi are going ok I guess, friend has her due date tomoz and others are due in the next coming months, spent the other day with my friend and saw her 3 month old Son. It is so hard as DH and I haven't told anyone that we are TTC, but it would be nice to have someone to talk to about it that is why I love this thread, I know that I am not the only one going through the worrying etc.

According to my calendar thingy I should be ovulating right now so will be jumping on DH when he is home from work lol

Back to work next week, darn school holidays flying by! But on a good note I will be so busy I wont have a spare min to worry about TTC, testing etc!

Spreading baby dust to all, with extra sparkles. just because I love sparkles ;)

I am watching Come Dine with Me at the moment working on the lesson plans etc at the moment, then going to watch the new Ugly Betty me thinks :0) Hope you are all having a lovely day in this gorgeous English Summer Confused
