I know this is early but are we going to have an MN Christmas Appeal this year?

Just thought I would ask as the last one was launched on 1st Oct last year.

I suppose I am saying that if no-one more competent and organised than me comes forward, I am prepared to do it. But would like to speak to Soapbox, LL or StG for pointers before launch iyswim.

I find myself quite time rich over the next few weeks while my security clearance is processed for my new job.

So Wadda we think?

I am preparing the launch OP and we should be up and running by tomorrow at the latest. I am just getting it checked over for stupidity and typos and stuff.

StG, and at your treatment. Can't believe the mentality of some people.

I really enjoyed putting my parcels together last year so will happily do it again this, although I think the idea of having been registered for a certain period of time is a good one.

I have not posted on MN for a while, although am a lurker. I have searched for a post on the appeal, as i desperately want to donate this year.

Last year we were in such an awful place, and even though we couldn't get on the internet hardly over Christmas, or the months to follow, people still remembered me and sent some lovely items that were a big help to me and my family.

Thankfully, this year, my situation is greatly improved - and the first thing i thought of when getting my new job was that this year i could repay the favour!!
