Does anyone know if Yorkshire Trading have all these brilliant deals in store? I have one not too far from me but far enough for it to be a faff to get to!

They definitely had the Tisserand sprays when I went in.

Morning. Word of warning, the pans are really poor. I bought some for my husband 2 years ago who’s a chef and they just don’t last very well and the warranty isn’t worth the paper it’s written on. They’re very style over substance. In comparison we bought a skillet from Habitat which we use daily and seems like it’ll last forever - the our place pans would be lucky to last until the end of the year. I bought ours around Black Friday on offer, definitely don’t pay full price but I would advise really that they aren’t great and best avoided. The non stick coating lasts forever about 5 minutes and they chip incredibly easily.

To compare, I have the Lakeland version and it seems bulletproof. I think you're more likely to have joy if you need to use their guarantee too.

As we are mentioning products tested on animals, I think it's also important people are aware that Weleda was tested on people in concentration camps.

For me the difference is that animals are being tested on now. Giving those companies money is putting money straight into animal abuse.

They had the Tisserand sets in two stores I’ve been in recently plus loads of Pecksniffs stuff

Can anyone advise, we have lots of little children for Xmas gifts (about 10-12) so only want to spend about £5-10 each, so far bought a book each and maybe some sweets/chocolate, but what else could I get?

VikingNorthUtsire · 22/09/2026 10:23

MonkeyMaze101 · 22/09/2026 07:16

Thanks
Mine are for an autistic child who just likes to collect kit kat branded so size not important 😄

Do they eat them or just collect them? Friend brought me back some matcha ones from Japan earlier this year, which we haven't eaten - would be happy to pop a couple into the post for you but they're probably OOD or close.

I’ve mentioned on here before that I did an Icelandic tradition called Jolabokaflod which is gifting a book and a bar of chocolate on Xmas eve, you could include some cute socks if your budget stretches. It went down well with my family last year and I’ll do it again this year.

I’d 100% go with the Lakeland one too. They regularly do discounts and you can have a look at all the options in an actual shop. Have a problem, you can take it back. I’ve found the staff so lovely in the shops.
I know the marketing for the our place stuff is very Instagram worthy, but they are a bit style over substance.

Disney Princess colouring book down to £1.90 - says rrp is £4.99 - has 60 colouring pages.

Great stocking filler - or party present with colouring pens and sweets or a book.

edited for typo - autocorrect changed rrp to rep 😩

I must get round to printing photos off my phone. Did i see a post about free prints, or am i imagining it?

I agree with Pp, all my DDs friends say they’re no longer bothered about KPop so that was a short lived fad it seems! (At least for their age).

I think a lot of them tend to like pets type toys. Kittycorns and little live pets etc. If I were posting it I’d probably get a Polly pocket - they all seem to have little pets (and are compact). Or squishville?

8 is a little old for Polly pocket and Kittycorns I think.

Bitzee are a big hit for 6-10 year olds and often under £15

I just returned the Lakeland One Pan (the one that was £59.99) as I used it less than ten times, followed instructions to the letter, and it started sticking. Absolutely rubbish. But so interesting to hear others have different experiences.

Cos1970 · 22/09/2026 13:14

Been shopping IRL and found a few bits that might be of use.

cork travel boards in Clintons that you can put a pin in when you’ve travelled to places (someone asked in a previous thread I think)
some KPop stuff in Cards Direct
Some deal son in Sainsbury’s, could buy items for 2 for £15
Some Grinch Dr Pawpaw bits in Primark

It must be depending on the social group, I think. I know a couple of 9 year olds that have asked for Polly pockets this year 🤷‍♀️

Changingagain · 22/09/2026 13:55

My 8 year old and her friends are still in to Polly pockets, kittycorns and all the others like them, and kpop demon hunters. I'm expecting most of her Santa list to be the new huntrix stuff that's out.

Cuwins · 22/09/2026 14:21

The travel cork board thing reminds me:
a while ago I was out with my sister and she saw a similar thing but of the UK- I think it was scratch areas you had been or put a pin in something like that. She would love that but I can’t for the life of me remember where I saw it or what make it was. Anyone else know?

Notlongnow1 · 22/09/2026 14:29

@Reastie flagging nearing end of thread x

So child dependent at that age I think - my 8 year old no interest in polly pockets but her cousin the same age loves them! No interest in pop, but she never did have. My 8 year old would have no interest in colouring books either, but plain notebooks to draw would go down well. I would be tempted to ask interests to avoid disappointment I think!

woodwaj · 22/09/2026 14:31

If you are signed up to Jellycat Purrks they are offering free delivery today only. I also got a free badge and gift box too

InbetweenDreams · 22/09/2026 14:34

@Notlongnow1 Yes, absolutely - they are all different!

lemoncurdcupcake · 22/09/2026 14:40

The claw machine thing is even cheaper at the range. £17.80-£20.80 depending on the colour. There was a pop up for £5 off too but didn't click on it to read the details. I did a Google image search so I'm assuming it's the same brand as the one in Debenhams.
