@ShyMaryEllen I've seen black Friday deals on our place the last few years. I can't remember the exact discount but it was tempting. Does she definitely want our place or would she get the Lakeland one pan instead?

Londonbabyland · 21/09/2026 22:13

@Puffalicious good call re sprays.
DD is in primary but have many other teachers outside of school (martial arts, music instruments, choir, swimming) so got to buy in bulk under a fiver each.

My daughter wants a set of Our Place pans, and I'd love to get them for her, but they are £££, so if anyone happens to know of a deal there, that would be amazing. I don't know if they do Black Friday deals, or if they might go on the Amazon one.

They have the Our Place pans on TK max website currently 30-40% off. May also find them in stores. (Although I will say my friend had them and they didn't last well)

ShyMaryEllen · 21/09/2026 22:23

Thanks, @Username7258 , @villamariavintrapp and @olafstwigarm.

She wants the Our Place ones, but I think more because they are stylish. I'll let her know about your friend's experience and see if she'd be happy with another brand. Meanwhile, I''ll look on TK Maxx.

Any ideas for an 8 and 6 year old girl? £10 - £15 and small enough to package and send abroad.

i was looking at the k-pop sticker doll book but think that might be too young g for the 8 yo.

Not k-pop, apparently it’s very last season!

I agree with the top model books- there are loads to choose from and most are under £10 - smyths sell them.

You could always then add some sweets / chocolate or a voucher (or £5 each) then that’s quite light to post?

Thanks for this recommendation! Got the world map and the road jigsaw (with cars). £2.50 each, and used my nectar points so felt like they were free. 😂

These cute brown slipper socks are down to £1.75 at dunelm online! ❤️

There's a fab fellow called Gordy on the isle of wight who makes little wooden snowmen that he wood burns names onto. They're £5 each including a unique bobble hat, and it £4 to have up to £15 delivered. They make fun, budget friendly teacher gifts in my experience. Though most teachers I know still prefer a handmade card over anything.

Edited

This should have said up to 15 snowies delivered for £4, not £15! Apologies for the typo @Londonbabyland

Any recommendations for bundle of Japanese Kit Kats (not just Japanese sweets)?

And @MonkeyMaze101 , as @siansattic says, eBay is the place to go for these. I buy them for DH every year, he loves them.

Bear in mind, they are tiny though!

Yalz · 22/09/2026 04:29

Some good offers on £10 Tuesday at Boots today, but as much for me as presents.
For example:
Yankee Candle normally £24.99

No7 LABORATORIES FIRMING Booster Serum 30ml offer No7 LABORATORIES FIRMING Booster Serum normally £34.95

Estée Lauder Futurist Aqua Brilliance™ Watery Glow Primer normally £39

I filter by brand nowadays as otherwise I keep being sent back to the start.

If you have someone close to you who likes Estée Lauder you might like their blockbuster gift set for £92. You need to spend £50, but you also get a free gift set supposedly worth £112 if you buy 2 qualifying Estée Lauder items, and the blockbuster set doesn’t seem to count towards those.

I also got £7 of advantage points because I spent over £70, and I used my Blue Light Card discount of 4% by buying a gift card before I checked out.

Focussingonme · 22/09/2026 07:12

@TabbyMoggie thanks for the claw machine, just ordered for my DDs 9&4. They will love that!

XStitcher87 · 22/09/2026 07:12

Thanks everyone for the suggestions. The top model books look great with some British sweets this will go down a treat!

I hate that most decent things are out of stock before 7am though 🙄.

Before 6am too! 🤣 I think stock of the premium is very limited at the offer price. It’s just to get us on the website and buy other bits , it will all be available again tomorrow! I have sometimes got some £10 bargains but not often.

Morning. Word of warning, the pans are really poor. I bought some for my husband 2 years ago who’s a chef and they just don’t last very well and the warranty isn’t worth the paper it’s written on. They’re very style over substance. In comparison we bought a skillet from Habitat which we use daily and seems like it’ll last forever - the our place pans would be lucky to last until the end of the year. I bought ours around Black Friday on offer, definitely don’t pay full price but I would advise really that they aren’t great and best avoided. The non stick coating lasts forever about 5 minutes and they chip incredibly easily.

Thank you.
It doesn't need to be vegan it was just the first thing I found. I didn't even know that chocolate can contain gluten until recently.

Montezuma's have a fair few that are gluten free. Dark chocolate cherry is delicious.
