Thread 2 - the one where I try to get organised

[Reastie]

Hope I'm not tempting fate with that thread title
This is intended as a friendly, kind, safe, warm and fuzzy place for people to share discounts, bargains and Christmas gift ideas both online and IRL. Please note the tone and intention of the thread and join with spirit as generous as DC helping themselves to the Christmas chocolate celebrations .

Here’s some useful information about how to save the thread or a specific post so you don’t need to have a message to check in for every thread so you have the thread saved:

To watch the thread - click on the little bell that has ‘watch’ under my first message. This adds the whole thread to your ‘watched threads’

You can also bookmark a specific post by clicking on the ‘bookmark’ under the specific post. This saves your exact place in a thread but doesn’t alert you to new replies.

If you have any referral links or codes, please share them on the referral thread https://www.mumsnet.com/talk/christmas/5577375-bargain-referrals-thread

A reminder that we don't use affiliated links on here please (I think that's the term, let me know if I got that wrong).

If there’s anything you think would be useful or good to include in this post then please do tag me and let me know here (or DM me).

You are all wonderful and I’m now going back to my mince pie and stollen (never too early!).

Thanks for all of these! I ordered from Starfish, unfortunately the codes didn't work but it's a good cause.
Any clever options to get anything off Adidas trainers? Seems to be a new style - Samba 62s?

You could make up a great hamper for someone with bits like this! Would make a nice gift

These magnetic tiles appear to be a good price

Before I buy Hues and Cues for £21 from Smyths, has anybody seen it from a reputable seller for less please?

Can someone please remind me what the deal was on the M&Sense candles please. Ive scrolled back a few pages but cant find it

Starfish project sale still seems to be on today for those of us who had meant to put in an order last night in bed and fell asleep - thanks to op who flagged it and also for the codes

Thank you.
It doesn't need to be vegan it was just the first thing I found. I didn't even know that chocolate can contain gluten until recently.

Both but it wasn't until we had a coeliac visiting that I learned about chocolate and grabbed the first thing I found. It was horrible.

I used some aphrodisiac chocolate in different flavours as prizes, hen do ish without being crude or cringe

Comes in its original packaging, if gifting, remember to tick the Hide what's inside, dispatch in Amazon packaging"

WoodWick Large Hourglass Scented Candle | Linen | with Crackling Wick £16.49

@XiCi same price on Amazon but would be free delivery if you have prime/are buying enough bits 🤷🏼‍♀️

Thanks so much for the Baby Born heads up. I got a carrier which she will love and some little outfits. Great discount thank you!

For the poster recently looking for skincare in mini sizes, Holland & Barrett now have 30% off Weleda which includes some 10ml & 20ml items.

Was there an extra code for the baby born sale please?

Welcome10 for 10% off

Thank you so much for posting! I just picked up some wonderful gifts 😍

Thank you so much for posting! I just ordered the claw machine for my 8 year old - he will love it!!

Any recommendations on what to get for teachers (both make and female) that's both desirable and a bargain?

Does anyone please have an Argos code they can send me please? I’d really appreciate any code that will bring the price down. Thank you

I needed to buy something from Robert dyas and saw they have festive palm pals for £2.93. only the tree is on stock for home delivery but they have Santa, hot cocoa and cinnamon roll for in store collection if you're near one. Postage is on top, but if you're spending £30 apparently the code FREEDEL30 works - I wasn't spending that much so haven't checked it myself

@XiCi these?

Just fyi, remember to tick the Hide what's inside, dispatch in Amazon packaging"

Ah yes, the dreaded “free from”… best thing in my view is just good quality chocolate with none of the ingredients and no “may contain”. Lindt is good.

The Tony’s Chocolonely bars are on Clubcard price in Tesco for £2.75 at the moment. I’m a teacher and I know we get a lot of chocolate but these feel a bit more special and they are ethical

Is there a mailing list to sign up to for Argos to get the discount codes or is it just random who gets them? I seem to have hundreds of emails from them but never a code.

Also, I would really appreciate it if anybody has seen any bargainous Christmas trees as I discovered yesterday that DH has taken half of ours to the tip! Thanks

If you need a code I won't use this one:
It's £5 off £50

I've no idea who they send them to or why though!
