I'm a bit tipsy and very tired, but it's been a good day.

Round 2 tomorrow with the roast dinner!

Evening! I’m back to work after sick leave next week, but I’m actually on annual leave ask have 18 days to use by 1st April. It will be nice to feel I can do things guilt free!

Got to find some cheap / free indoor things to do with the kids.

Oh, it looks like i’m getting my beloved frost! Apparently the North West will have “Widespread frost” tomorrow.

Have Valentine’s treats from a local bakery ready for the kids tomorrow. They look incredible. Will partake in sampling. Also have an M&S Valentine’s meal deal in.

Cooking a roast on Sunday- the first since Christmas. Very much looking forward to it.

Happy Valentines Day

We don't really celebrate it, in fact I am off up North shortly leaving DH here as it is half term for us, yippeee - well I will be off as soon as I can dig the DC out of their pits. I got DH a card and a huge tub of haribo. I really can't stand red roses especially at Valentines. Got a bag of chocolate hearts to eat in the car.

So excited that you say there is frost in the North West @VillageFete we will be there for a few days so hopefully I will wake up to frost tomorrow. Also very excited to see DM and DSis.

No frost here but clear blue skies though I am betting it is blardy cold .

Safe driving Magnolia hope the roads aren't too busy . And enjoy time with your DM and DSis

I'm going out into the garden with a binbag and a green garden waste bag for a tidy up then have a shower and do some hair'n'face masks .
Got the first lot of washing on .
And I bought DH a card and some beer so he's happy

The roads will be quieter next week <bonus>

We had a really hard frost this morning, it looked like leaf patterns on top of the cars. Glad I work from home and can stay in the warm.

I got a huge bar of chocolate for Valentine’s Day and some roses. I never buy DH any present but I did get a card which sometimes I don’t remember 🤣 we have been together for 32 years today so you can’t expect miracles with my memory.

DH and I celebrated our 40 year first date anniversary (been married 30 years , ), he bought me After Eights . Romance isn't dead

No flowers due to the cats

DH has taken Ds (ten) to the city centre to go shoe shopping and to look at Lego.

We are supposed to be going to someone’s anniversary party later but my back is so bad I can’t even hobble around the house.

im expecting flowers will turn up for me at some point, that’s the usual. I have some bits in the boot of my car but my back hurts and I can’t go and get them for him. I’ll try later, he doesn’t mind.

I bought DS some Lego yesterday in Liverpool, which he was very happy with.

We also have frost but (sorry, @Magnoliasunrise) it's back to warmer and wetter round these parts tomorrow. The dog enjoyed snuffling round in the frozen grass though!

We don't do Valentines Day here. We are having fillet steak and home made chips for dinner, however. We had 300g of fillet in our Christmas beef order, and I bought another 170g fillet steak from Abel and Cole yesterday to go with it. We've red potatoes coming in the Sainsbury's order a bit later for me to do the chips (a Gordon Ramsey recipe). I can't wait! 😋

Can you share the recipe? I’m intrigued by sweary man chips.

I looked up the GR chips , he does oven chips which are healthier and you don;t have the chip pan smell or safety issues .

But ......... Holy Grail Chips are Heston Blumenthal Triple Cooked Chips

Oven chips are nice as wedges (I cut the potato into 4-6 depending on size )

I should be asleep but I've been listening to music on YouTube ( it's been running "MyMix" , I;m thinking darn it 70 you have good taste in music as the next one came up !
Actually that's not quite true my DC are "wtf" at my music taste but Pah.

I had to hoik a thorn out of my finger from gardening , fiddly and painful but did it and that was with gloves on.

Hope all the Valentine Meals were delicious .

Happy belated Valentine's to all. DH and I exchanged chocolates yesterday morning. Lindt bunny for me!

Much excitement yesterday as my granddaughter was born in the evening and caused some concern for a while, but she seems to be ok now and both her and my daughter are alright. What a lovely date to be born.

We are also having a roast in that we will be heating up leftovers from yesterday’s roast lamb, so hardly any work involved at all!

70 I am exhausted as I spent Friday night worrying that baby needed to come out due to reduced movements, then I knew baby was in Nicu then I talked by messenger to my daughter all night as she is an anxious bean. I am delighted though
