I know there’s a long standing Christmas bargains thread, but I thought it might be worth starting a thread for people who want to support small businesses this Christmas?

Not only are they a bit cheaper in many areas but our support probably means far more to them than it does to Amazon etc. So, this is a thread for those of us who want to help small businesses grow and, perhaps, pick up a bargain along the way!

So, as someone who will only be buying from Small Businesses this Christmas - hit me with your best buys. And, tell the rest of us what you really want (perfumes, candles, paintings, slippers etc) and let’s see who we can support this Christmas 🌟

Battle Fragrance (Etsy - Home Fragrance), and received an absolutely stunning trio of candles.

Cocoa Collective (Hot chocolate company), and had the most luxurious hot chocolate of my life coming in at 300 calories for a mug! Oops. 🙊

Mercer’s (chutneys and jams), and accidentally ate the entire whiskey marmalade that I got for DH. Oops.

That’s a great idea re vouchers - one of our nearish restaurants (Chalk in Wokingham, Berkshire) does 50% off vouchers for Jan. We have a family birthday in Jan so it works really well, and it’s a real treat in an otherwise rubbish month

And maybe not strictly a small business, but I often buy from RNLI shops as they have nice gifts, especially stocking fillers.

I'm nominating The Natural Crayon Company.

I bought personalised name crayons for my niece's birthday recently which she loved, so I'm buying some of the mini boxes of 4 for my children's stockings!

I bought from this small independent company because my SIL/BIL are vegan, and these crayons are vegan friendly - I had no idea normal crayons had animal products in them! Also, I love that there is no paraffin wax in them and the ethos of their business is eco-friendly and sustainable.
