No idea why it decided my fridge was sensitive contentโ€ฆ

Hubcapdiamondstarhalo · 23/12/2024 16:52

Not full to bursting (because I've just cleared out all the well-past-the-sell-by-date jars & neglected veg) , but we've not got loads of family coming for the main event this year, just a small gathering here on boxing day. Turkey and alcohol is in garage fridge, and DH has just gone out to pick up a couple of forgotten bits. In theory we're all ready food-wise.

Hereโ€™s ours: the tin at the bottom is a half made cheesecake.
Weโ€™ve drinks fridge with soft drinks, fizz and beers and Iโ€™ve put the chicken and beef there too. Feel like I may finally learnt to not overbuy.

Just had our order delivered (11 substitutions! Although the only ridiculous one was suet dumplings for stuffing ๐Ÿ˜‚). Sirloin of beef from the farm shop and a turkey crown from Sainsbury's in the freezer

Can't wait until I can post mine tomorrow. Missed my delivery date, as I don't get paid until tomorrow and forgot to ask dp to transfer the money, luckily a mm posted this morning that there had been Asda delivery dates updated, and got one for tomorrow! Going to be a serious game of jenga tomorrow!!!

Mahoosivesalad · 23/12/2024 17:49

It may look like I have no veg but I promise it's hiding in the bottom drawer at the back. Plus frozen veg as well. Chest freezer and freezer drawers under fridge is also full to the brim. There's a frozen chicken in there somewhere (hate turkey).

There's more behind what you can see on the shelves including a coveted can of baileys flavour squirty cream. They seem to be like gold dust.

Before anyone asks why bread/rolls are in the fridge, we're gluten free and I found it's keeps a bit better/longer that way.

Ooh where are the lobster crumpets from?

Sainsbury's

BalladOfBarry · 23/12/2024 18:19

Loving looking at everyone's fridges..

Here's mine. We've got veg and drinks in the garage, keeping cold.

I've to make the stuffing and get that in, but there's room.

Lovely thread this year so far. I love looking in peopleโ€™s fridges.
Hereโ€™s mine.
Drinks wonโ€™t go in until the meat comes out - gammon first on Christmas Eve and the turkey on Christmas morning. Iโ€™m worried that my turkey is a bit on the small size but ho hum, itโ€™ll have to do because Iโ€™m not going to do anything about it now.

Squirty cream (abomination but teen dd loves it) and eggs (old habits die hard) are both in there and the meat isnโ€™t on the lowest shelf but on the one with a lip all round so if anything leaks itโ€™s contained and wonโ€™t drip.
Theres a lot of prepped veg in the freezer that needs to squeeze in to defrost but Iโ€™ll worry about that tomorrow.

The stink from the cheese is a bit strong.

Also another fridge in the garage and then some stuff just free range in the garage too like veg, booze etc No picture as garage isn't attached to house, have to go down through garden and across a yard so that's not happening this time of night in the freezing cold. I hope everyone has a fabulous Christmas with lots of amazing food ๐Ÿ’–๐ŸŽ„

I've loved all the fridges. You can tell the drinking families from the eating families!
Lobster crumpets sound divine.
The mahoosive ham in one fridge Has made me envious.

Here's mine. Pork and salmon side are in freezer. M&S beef minus the missing jus is on the bottom shelf along with lasagne ingredients- I made it today for my sons birthday tomorrow.

Cheese isn't visible but the Tellagio is making itself known every time the door is opened.

Wine still needs to go in too.

I'm cooking boxing day.

Here's a photo of both fridges here.

The gammon is defrosting on the side and the three joints of meat are still in the freezer. There's also more pigs in blankets in the freezer for the buffet (Christmas Day, we're having the sit down dinner on Boxing Day) and some chicken popper things.

I've managed to totally hide the side of salmon, which is impressive, given its size!

My in-laws are very kindly hosting us this year, so our fridge looks very sad compared to everyone elseโ€™s!

(Weโ€™re bringing a large Yule log, cream, snacks and drinks for everyone to share).

I wanted to contribute to the thread nonetheless ๐Ÿ˜Š

@Pumpkittenspice all fridges are welcome here. Full ones, empty ones, clean ones, dirty ones....and everyone is being so nice this year. No MN vipers out. Much to the bingo players disgust.

Christmasisthebest · 23/12/2024 23:08

This thread is addictive! Here's mine, turkey and ham are in the fridge in the garage as they won't fit here!

I know, Iโ€™m almost disappointed. My bingo dabber has run dry while waiting ๐Ÿ˜†๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿ˜‚

Loving all the fridges though ๐Ÿ˜

My fridge has never been so full! It's our first Christmas at home, just us.

Drinks are in our drinks fridge but we don't really drink alcohol so it's mainly pop!
