I'm taking a punt here that we won't need another thread before Christmas, but feel free to prove me wrong!

Greetings and welcome one and all to a friendly and joyful corner of mn - the Christmas bargain thread. Here, we share Christmas present purchases, ideas, links and discount codes, with the aim to spread the Christmas magic and joy and reduce the financial stress.

It's a very busy thread, so see the tips below for helping everything run smoothly and avoiding repetitions of Cookiegate etc al. It's a lovely, friendly bunch and I'm so grateful to each and every one of you for building such a warm, fuzzy and generous spot on mn. I know I've save so much over the years and am so grateful to all of you for sharing.

Are converse really rubbish for wider feet and ankles? I can't decide if I should try them...I'm also 38....does that make me past it😂

I’m 36 I’ll be still wearing them in my 60’s no doubt 😂🙈 most of my shoes are converse tbh they’re so comfy and go with pretty much any outfit!

Not sure about wide feet but after multiple ankle sprains and intermittent foot pain I can no longer wear my beloved converse or vans for long periods at 36.

Now live in skechers or crocs! Don't love them as much but my feet sure do!

I put a coat in mine last night whilst I was showing MIL what I had bought last month (at full price 😭) and today got an email offering 10% off I completed the check out.

@SootspriteSearcher - i loved my converse but found the same but then i found a great solution - i buy the insoles from birkenstock and put them into my converse/skechers and you have the best of both worlds! They have a selection of insoles but i generally use the soft memory foam ish ones because they're soft snd comfy but also hold your foot in the right position (i have a very very wobbly ankle too). Also easy to swap in and out so you can get away with one pair. Might be a worth a try for you - not exactly a bargain but starting at £25 they're cheaper than new shoes!

Thanks for this, just ordered! The leopard pyjama set seem to have a glitch on age 9-10 as they are down to £4 for 5 pairs, whereas other sizes only reduced to £10!

I have just made a totally unnecessary order of chocolate, mince pies, cream, etc. which is arriving at 7am tomorrow as I forgot to adjust the time on the order 🙈 (I tried to justify this future assault on my waistline by the addition of washing up liquid and foil!)

There were some good deals on at the Coop - I clicked no subs as otherwise you get some very odd things. I hope that they still honour the £10 off if the order dips under the qualifying amount due to lack of availability.

I had the same. Then I did a PP suggested. I put it in the shop code box ( both of them as I was getting two things). It told me I wasn't allowed so I put it in the etsy code box and it was accepted.

I'm sorry to ask a really stupid question, but where is the shop code box found? I'm doing something wrong because I can't find it
