I'm taking a punt here that we won't need another thread before Christmas, but feel free to prove me wrong!

Greetings and welcome one and all to a friendly and joyful corner of mn - the Christmas bargain thread. Here, we share Christmas present purchases, ideas, links and discount codes, with the aim to spread the Christmas magic and joy and reduce the financial stress.

It's a very busy thread, so see the tips below for helping everything run smoothly and avoiding repetitions of Cookiegate etc al. It's a lovely, friendly bunch and I'm so grateful to each and every one of you for building such a warm, fuzzy and generous spot on mn. I know I've save so much over the years and am so grateful to all of you for sharing.

My converse are also here. I'm sending mine back as they aren't quite for me. Sizing is good though. Mine have been returned via evri which is good, nice and easy

I didn’t order the converse , as this design wasn’t for me , but for anyone returning them , they can take a while to recredit . When I used to buy for my son , they often had to travel through two countries to get to the returns centre before the refund goes through . They definitely didn’t used to mention it on the returns paperwork , however they were always helpful if you called them .

Some very cute looking wooden toys in Morrisons today , things like market stalls, dolls houses , cash registers , shopping trolleys , dolls house furniture. All new stock , prices between £10.50 and about £20 . Didn’t look too closely , as no one in that age bracket to buy for myself .

Yes I know what you mean. I do really like them but also keep getting clown feet thoughts creeping unbidden into my mind 😭

My Converse fit perfectly- my usual size- and I really like mine (white). I shall wear them in summer with rolled up jeans or dungarees, or black, wide-leg, casual trousers. For £20 they are a nice, new addition to my trainer collection.

Thanks to whoever posted the link to the bargain converse, sorry I can't remember who. Mine and my daughter's arrived today both pairs are fab we're so pleased with them. Although I don't think mine will stay that white for to long 😆

It was me who posted them initially 😊 so glad you’re happy with them. I have a pair for myself in both black and cream/white and I’m thinking the same with the lighter ones 😂

My converse are here! I sized up so was a bit nervous but they fit fine so really glad. They do give me clown vibes 😂 but I like them so don’t care! Thanks so much @hugsandpugs

Has anybody used the Nip&Fab Four icon gift set, or gifted it?
It's in the £10 Tuesday at books, with a saving of £17, so I'm thinking it could be a good present but never used it before so after feedback. Xx

Just popping back to say I was feeling quite sad that my black Converse are truthfully a bit too big so when they reduced them a bit again (not as much as last time alas but still) I went and ordered a white pair in the right size. And I love them! Very happy customer 😁
