I'm taking a punt here that we won't need another thread before Christmas, but feel free to prove me wrong!

Greetings and welcome one and all to a friendly and joyful corner of mn - the Christmas bargain thread. Here, we share Christmas present purchases, ideas, links and discount codes, with the aim to spread the Christmas magic and joy and reduce the financial stress.

It's a very busy thread, so see the tips below for helping everything run smoothly and avoiding repetitions of Cookiegate etc al. It's a lovely, friendly bunch and I'm so grateful to each and every one of you for building such a warm, fuzzy and generous spot on mn. I know I've save so much over the years and am so grateful to all of you for sharing.

Just had lovely customer service with L’Occitane from the buy anything and get 3 free gift bags and free samples with free delivery deal earlier this month. Received 1 paper gift bag and the free samples and a nice denim / white cotton shoulder bag but not the plantable pencils that I had ordered. Contacted them and they will refund me for the pencils, so the rest is free, Merry Christmas!

@hugsandpugs yes but on my phone the prices weren't discounting further, however I got the leather ones for £21.49 for meeee.

Thank you for the Etsy and converse bargains, youngest now has the converse she wanted and I've just got myself a print from one of my favourite artists as a little treat to myself

Ah I found you all! For some reason I can't get on the previous thread, it keeps saying bad gateway anytime I click on it. I now have bargain hunting FOMO from what I might have missed.

Huge thanks to the posters about the etsy app discount, I've managed to get a nice hamper delivered half price for my Aunty who was my last tricky purchase. I think I am now officially done (barring any last minute twitches!).

Any idea how long the Etsy code will work for? I now have the dilemma that I put something on my Xmas list from Etsy for DH to buy me.

There’s only a 50% chance that he will have bought it (he buys nice gifts, but as likely to be something he thought of himself as something on the list).

So … do I buy it myself with the code and risk that he has got it? He won’t tell me. I definitely want it. I don’t want two though 😅

I've seen conflicting reports that the Etsy code finishes on the 24th or 25th as posted by different Etsy sellers on their social media pages.

I'd love to use the Etsy code as my 2 niece's birthday are in Jan. One is 25 one is 22. Any suggestions? They have all they need really but my kids are 7 and under so no idea what's trendy

Thank you, you've just reminded me that I have a print in my basket but it's coming from Poland so the postage cost has been putting me off. The 50% code is also Stacking with a 15% discount from the seller so Saving nearly £20 altogether.

The code ends at 23.59 on 25th December according to the site
