I’m intrigued!, my fridge is sooo full Christmas it will give people diabetes 😂.

if it’s what I think it is, pictures of stuffed fridges, their will be so many comments off waste and over buyer. What they will say when I confess to having 2 fridges in the kitchen and a drinks fridge in the garage!

Tequilamockinbird · 15/12/2024 18:14

YES! Always my favourite thread of the whole year.

RoseDog · 15/12/2024 18:16

I love the kitchen fridge thread, I do like to lightly judge peoples packing/stacking 🤣

The haters better stay away!

People post their fridges after the big christmas shop. People comment on arrangement of items and unusual items. You start questioning if you have ordered enough orange juice etc yourself

Then the usual comments of 'read the room' start. I love the thread

RedRiverShore5 · 15/12/2024 18:17

I like these, I can see what I have forgotten

KingOompaLoompa · 15/12/2024 18:19

Bring on the pictures! My fridge never looks like that (often have dinner with vegetarians/restaurant or after one xmas fail a takeout.

I look forward to all those lovely fridges.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 15/12/2024 18:23

Well at the moment my fridge has about 9 cartons of Alpro for DD and me and a good few cartons of orange juice plus my clementine juice that no one else likes .
So not really Christmas but give it time 😉

Microgal · 15/12/2024 18:26

I'm ready to be judged for my wine fridge full of champagne and my fridge stacking abilities.
Bring it on. Also one of my faves.

It's because so many love to virtue signal about how the thread fails to read the room. Fucking tedious. 🙄

I bloody love the Christmas fridge thread each year! Xmas Grin

UndeniablyGenX · 15/12/2024 18:44

I enjoy nosing into other people's fridges. There's only DH and me for Christmas so ours won't be worth sharing but always fun to see what others are having.

Love the christmas fridge thread.

DH tested positive for Covid a few days before christmas in 2021. Was in the days of test daily if in contact but still go to work/about your business (I think it was 2021?) Maybe 2020.

Anyways, I knew I would get it as well so me and dd went and did a mahosive christmas shop. Nice food for the entire period for 4 people. Fridge was a work of art, I only just managed to get it all in. Posted a picture on here and was 'highly commended' for both style and content 😁.

It won't ever be that full again, we don't entertain over christmas so it's just a mix of buffet food, cheese and a roast dinner usually but it was nice to see.

I did test positive, not until 28th tho, by which time DH was testing negative and I think it was the test to release thing as well so he could go out.

Kids didn't get a positive until the day before they were due back at school. Fuck sake.

The threads used to be so lovely, so festive with lots of good cheer and anticipation of the big day. Lots and lots of cosy, happy posts - big fridges, little ones and everything in between, and such a fun peek into how different households celebrate. I must say, I love nothing more than a perfectly stacked fridge worthy of a Tetris champion.

Then lockdown happened...and the virtue signallers/hard of thinking went into overdrive with trying to police whether or not people were allowed to find simple joys in life and, god forbid, write a post about it!

Utterly, utterly stupid and tedious.

There should be a disclaimer in the thread title, tbh - if you don't like it you don't need to look, do you? So DFOD and don't let the (fridge) door hit your self-righteous bum on the way out!!

Ahem. Peace and love, good will toward men and all that. 🎄🎄🎄

The older threads are absolutely fantastic but it's not felt quite the same the past few years.

Maybe 2024 is the year where we'll capture the old magic again! ✨✨✨✨✨✨
