Greetings and welcome one and all to a friendly and joyful corner of mn - the Christmas bargain thread. Here, we share Christmas present purchases, ideas, links and discount codes, with the aim to spread the Christmas magic and joy and reduce the financial stress.

It's a very busy thread, so see the tips below for helping everything run smoothly and avoiding repetitions of Cookiegate etc al. Cult Beauty have lovely little gift sets of minis in a nice make up bag for £25 - I think these look like good value and are a great gift for beauty loving DDs/DNs/SILs. @SootspriteSearcher Primark are doing dupes of all 4 sprays but I'd say the yellow one is the only very close dupe.

@SootspriteSearcher Lidl have Sol de Janeiro spray dupes. Also L'Occitane hand cream and hand soap dupes, plus some Lush too I think.

Lidl have really excellent dupes of 62 (the salted caramel one with the same scent as the bum bum cream) and 68 (the jasmine and dragon fruit one). They smell great - very close to the original, a good strength but not overpowering, and the scent lasts well without souring.

I have a few bottles squirrelled away in the cupboard for me.

i see Poundland also have little travel set dupes for £5, but I can’t vouch for them as I haven’t tried them. I just stumbled across them.

ETA Home Bargains also have this which is supposed to be a good dupe of the cream. I haven’t tried it yet though. There is also a shampoo and shower fell from them.

And apparently Treacle Moon (Tesco, Boots) have dupes too, but I haven’t tried them.

It’s these ones. They are not there all the time, but have been in for a few weeks (along with l’occitane dupes etc). I think they do the dupes once a year but what’s there varies.

@VeruccaSalty I've had a mini chopper for years and it's fantastic I'm rubbish at chopping pretty much anything and this really speeds up my cooking. Only thing I can think which is mildly annoying is how the lid fits on with the blade, but this is a safety thing to stop you chopping your hand off so can't really complain 😅
