Sorry - I panicked with the title Blush

Greetings and welcome one and all to a friendly and joyful corner of mn - the Christmas bargain thread. Here, we share Christmas present purchases, ideas, links and discount codes, with the aim to spread the Christmas magic and joy and reduce the financial stress.

It's a very busy thread, so see the tips below for helping everything run smoothly and avoiding repetitions of Cookiegate etc al. It's a lovely, friendly bunch and I'm so grateful to each and every one of you for building such a warm, fuzzy and generous spot on mn. I know I've save so much over the years and am so grateful to all of you for sharing.

Pull up a sleigh and relax with a mulled wine and mince pie, for Christmas has nearly arrived!

@ me if you need anything or you want to let me know anything - the thread moves so fast I can't always keep up so this really helps

A few pointers to make everyone’s life easier and the thread be as useful as possible:

  • It’s handy to put in bold the bargains so they’re easy to spot
  • No affiliate links
  • No need to place mark or post messages of hello or thanks at the start of a new thread - use the ‘watch thread’ button
  • Be nice or leave

The current referral thread for sharing referral codes https://www.mumsnet.com/talk/christmas/4940918-4940918-bargain-referrals-thread-6 . Please use this rather than this page to share referral links to make the sharing fair.

To make clicks links, you set it up like this only without any spaces apart from between the website and the word(s) you’re writing: www.bargainsahoyeveryonecomehere.co.uk

Thanks @RainbowZebraWarrior for the instructions below.
To make something bold, put this star * either side of the word you want to bold (with no spaces in between)

So starhellostar would look like this.

hello

Obviously use the * not the word star

Some of the below is copied and pasted from previous years, so do @ me if the links don't work

What was the mini fridge that was on sale for £15? I know it’s probably not on sale anymore but would like to keep an eye on it in case it reduces again 🙏

Also does anyone have a kids smartwatch they could recommend? I was set on getting a Fitbit but there seems to be lots of issues with syncing. A few other options on Amazon but I don’t trust some of the reviews 😬

I ordered my cuisinart blender on Monday and heard nothing since, did people say they were coming v quickly?

I ordered a few wine bottle openers last weekend, and they arrived two days later. I then ordered two blenders soon after (on Tuesday), and I have had a confirmation email, but nothing since.

It’s still well within the 5-7 days delivery, so not concerned yet. I guess the bottle openers were readily available to post, and maybe the blenders aren’t 🤔.

My stand mixer, bottle opener and toaster arrived within a couple of days, but I think I was pretty early to order and I imagine they have quite a backlog.

Used the wine opener last night. It’s really good!

I need ideas for my nieces aged 16, 20, 22
budget £20

previous hits have been pj,s and a book, make up, cocktails, gin for the eldest……just this year I’m fresh out of ideas.

If any of them are into makeup the W7 advent calendar. Or if they're the caring sort, those Fahlo bracelets which have been mentioned on this thread before.

No idea if they will be the right size but my busy books did a trolls one, my daughters had it years ago. It was a book with playmat and 12 figures. My daughter had one from the original film but looks like there's a few versions. Its like this we used to buy them in supermarkets and whsmiths for around £7 and had loads of characters/films I'm not sure where sells them now though!

Great shout. We also had these years ago. I saw them in Tescos recently.

RainbowZebraWarrior · 27/10/2024 13:43

Hedjwitch · 27/10/2024 12:05

Probably already flagged but one litre of Baileys reduced from £22 to £13 on Tescos if you have a clubcard

Also being price matched in Sainsbury's. I saw them in the entrance yesterday. (Likely a nectar deal)

onedayatatime73 · 27/10/2024 13:43

Can anyone recommend somewhere to buy charlotte tilbury products cheaper (but the real thing). Or anywhere that does decent cashback? 4 nieces have all asked for a product.

As above for wide plate straighteners. Decent but doesn't need to be ghd

And finally did anyone find a bargainous route for White Fox which seems to be the demand of the year. Just can't believe how expensive!

SpaceNK currently have 20% off Charlotte Tilbury.

At some point during November, John Lewis is also likely to do a 20% off deal (or with their Never Knowingly Undersold promise being back, they should price match).

Iggi999 · 27/10/2024 13:52

Can I ask, is Charlotte Tilsbury a brand for younger people? Want to get my friend something from a bit of a luxury brand, but we are not young!

okayhescereal · 27/10/2024 13:55

@Beautifulsunflowers I got a Fahro bracelet for my dads partner (who is in her 40's but when it comes to receiving gifts she's more like a 20 year old) and she LOVED it!!

I'd say it was for all ages. I'm 53 and use CT lip glosses. My cousin is 25 and also uses CT. Lovely stuff and really nice packaging.

CT herself is 51 years old.

NotAdultingToday · 27/10/2024 14:08

No vampire mice here either 🙁

ConsuelaHammock · 27/10/2024 14:12

Hacoo for white fox knock offs?

Itsfridaynightok · 27/10/2024 14:19

Was there an offer on the fahro bracelets I've missed ? Thanks

17caterpillars1mouse · 27/10/2024 14:19

@NobodyGivesADamn
My local tk maxx had sets with mini trolls characters in

17caterpillars1mouse · 27/10/2024 14:22

For anyone whose children love the little live pets range, I've just ordered the new little live pets mama surprise rabbits for £49.99 from Very. Usually priced £64.99 and was expecting them to drop in price so very happy with that saving. It's a limiter time deal.

I also got the lego friends pet adoption day set reduced from £40 - £30 which is exclusive to Very (and the lego store obviously).

Lots of things like polly pockets are reduced too

BrieCamera · 27/10/2024 14:22

These shape shift boxes have been mentioned on here before - currently down to £16.99 for the next 5 hours:

I have a £7 off £70 argos spend if anyone could use it? Ends 3rd November.

Also 20% SugarHill Brighton use end of Wednesday.

Brakeburn have a decent sale on. I've had a couple of nice things from there previously.

In case anyone forgets, it's worth checking the Blue Light Card app for money off theatre tickets.

I have a help request please - are Hatchimals still a thing? DD is after one but they don't seem to be on sale anymore.

She's also asked for a snow globe with interesting stuff in like dragons or a pheonix. Not (easy to find) stuff like a snowman.

chillimice · 27/10/2024 14:47

Just noticed anker Q30 overear sound cancelling headphones are £47 (usually £80) on Amazon.

There's also a couple of nail varnish sets with 33% off like this OPI one (not that I'm nice enough to get DD that one as still £33!) Blush

TimPat · 27/10/2024 14:48

@Beautifulsunflowers PLouise lip kits have been requested by teens in my family this year, I ordered some yesterday, currently 3 for £25, allegedly £22 each full price.
