Ocado Christmas delivery

Hi

Have any of you had your Ocado Christmas delivery yet? Did you find out earlier than usual if anything was out of stock/being subbed?

Stupidly booked the 12-1pm slot on Christmas Eve, felt so cocky about it and now feeling like I'm going to have a frantic race around the supermarket getting the failed bits...

Had mine this morning. Notified of one sub which was fine and one missing item, cream. Massive order so very pleased. Notification at usual time - a few hours before.

I got mine last evening. Instead of Ocado brand unsalted butter they substituted for an organic version of fancy butter. No other subs. Very happy.

They weirdly didn't have my normal dishwasher tablets which I thought was bizarre. Everything else fine but annoyingly short use by dates on loads of things. Freezer now crammed.

I had my Ocado order yesterday, and the cut off time was Tuesday 11.30pm. They do not give you info earlier - later if anything. An afternoon/early evening receipt usually arrives at lunchtime, but yesterday it was mid afternoon. Closing the order earlier is for their benefit, not ours.

I didn't have any missing/subbed items, but I didn't have much traditional Christmas food on the order. I've ordered from them for 20 years and their xmas orders have never let me down, although I've never left it as late as xmas eve, usually 22nd/23rd just in case.

I had my delivery today at 4 and got my order receipt at about 9.30 this morning, the same time as for my weekly 12-1 slot. There were only a couple of sensible substitutions and one of my loaves was missing.

Mine arrived this morning.
Missing - garlic bread with no substitution. Not the end of the world.

They’d swapped some of the canapé style food so beef rosti cake for prawn toast (random).

Nothing major though. All veg including carrots were fine.

Mine is for Christmas Eve 2-3pm which was very stupid in hindsight..... But as a result of a distastrous few attempts between Ocado and Waitrose at Christmas, I've ordered the meat from the butcher and 2 huge Riverford boxes so I've got the basics and anything else is just window dressing tbh.

The one year I got a £98 joint of beef from Waitrose and I had to keep looking at it to check I wasn't reading the label wrong - we had 16 for Christmas lunch and the joint would have barely fed 4! I've got a huge 3kg joint of rolled rib that was £50 locally.

14 substitutions and 3 things totally missing, that’s the worst delivery I’ve ever had.

I sent all the substitutions back, much to the driver’s annoyance.

Why aren’t the substitutions bagged separately so it’s easier to pull them out?

Delivery at 9am, receipt at 7am.
Quite a lot of subs, no missing items.
3 subs were returned and the rest were okay.
Rarely use Ocado any more, after nearly 10 years I switched to Tesco earlier on in the year. Plastic bags drives me insane and, subs are never price matched and they don’t offer loyalty points.
But booked an Ocado slot as they’ve never let me down with a delivery.

I missing item that I was needing and not sure how to replace (vegan mushroom parfait that I’ve had in my order since October!) and a sub which was fine, it came tonight. I don’t have any meat or alcohol though.

Mine came tonight
No subs
But I didn't order main stuff for Christmas dinner(got from M&s) so mainly normal stuff, some booze, cheese and household things

I was told I had three subs but checked and actually only two. Will try to remember to check the receipt because I'd had two emails and a text about the subs.
None of them were great but not the end of the world.

Mine came the other day with one missing item and one sub, kept the sub anyway. I do find Ocado good but wanting to try some of the others in the new year. Which are good for delivery and do they do one hour time slots like Ocado do?

My email was 2.5 hours before my slot. Few subs - all OK but more expensive. 4 packs of the M&S party food were missing. Dates on things were pretty good though and nearly all after Xmas.

I'm Xmas Eve but a bit earlier. 10-11.

Really hoping I get an early email so can run out shopping if necessary.

Mine came on Thursday evening. One minor substitution with a sensible sub offered.

I found out about the substitution a few hours before the delivery.

Mine was delivered yesterday (Friday), the notification arrived at the normal time.
Quite a few substitutes, but felt I had to accept them or I would have been short of meals.
Quite a few items unavailable, some of them key elements of dishes, which is irritating, one was wholemeal bread though I find it hard to believe there was absolutely no other brown bread in the warehouse! Some of the missing items were special treats ordered weeks ago, so that's very disappointing.

Not as successful a Christmas shop as in previous years!

Got my email receipt yesterday at 12.40 for a 4.30-5.30 pm delivery slot. More subs & out of stock items than in previous years but nothing disastrous.

Am off to pick up a cheese order from a local deli today & will seek out the missing items then in a Tesco local. No way am I going near a big supermarket

Mine is coking today 11-12 and no email yet, it's still showing as being prepared on the app. Would like to know soon so I can plan to go to the shops if needed...

Mines due in an hour and everything is there apart from a pack of dips and a pack of crackers which we can certainly manage without so all good here. Just got to find space in the fridge when it arrives now.
