Mine came this morning. No beer and no substitution which I am not impressed with. Different shortbread that I can live with. To be honest I am glad everything for dinner is there.

Got mine this evening, nothing missing and only 2 reasonable substitutions for one of the champagnes and orange juice.

The orange juice was substituted for a larger one but discount applied and the champagne for a different one of a similar price. Awaiting Waitrose tomorrow, as I ordered the turkey from them and a few things that are better with them than Ocado. Hoping that is smooth too.

Have any of you had your Ocado Christmas delivery yet? Did you find out earlier than usual if anything was out of stock/being subbed?

Stupidly booked the 12-1pm slot on Christmas Eve, felt so cocky about it and now feeling like I'm going to have a frantic race around the supermarket getting the failed bits...

I have the exact same time slot booked for Sunday... thought it was a good idea at the time for getting the best dates on things. Now I too am worrying a bit about having to do a last minute dash to a supermarket 😂

For those saying they got their email/text quite late; I think if you check the app on the day of your delivery it will say there if there's anything missing or substituted.

Mine is coming very soon and got the notification this afternoon. Three substitutions, not bad. But I am sure they used to match the price of the out of stock item if the substitution was more expensive?

They did used to charge only what you would have paid for the product you ordered, but not anymore. The first time I noticed this I queried it and was told 'because you chose to accept the substitution'. I suppose, logically, it's just like if you couldn't find something in the shop and you chose a different brand/larger size or whatever, you'd pay the price for that rather than the thing that wasn't available.

Make sure you check for offers as yours will be the last Christmas slots. Last year I got some real bargains. Check an hour or so before the cut off.

Mines due 8-9 tomorrow morning. Got the receipt a couple hours ago and they've made so many subs & missing items on mine! Must frustratingly they've tried to sub my 2 800g hawksmoor prime rib steaks with 8 M&S rib eyes! Obviously won't be accepting that and now have to source steak for our Christmas Eve dinner with friends elsewhere

Ours is coming tomorrow morning, 1 substitution…baking Camembert out of stock, random cheese substituted. Don’t care, they can have the random one back!

I’ve done ocado Christmas shop for years and generally it is very good with few substitutions or missing items.

Waitrose still sub for a better item and charge for the (lesser) original. I keep ordering a free Waitrose magazine and they keep giving me a free £6 Good Housekeeping magazine when they are out of stock.

4 reasonable substitutions. 4 items missing. Nothing essential or that I can’t run out and get.

Are you near a supermarket, OP? You should be fine, even on Xmas Eve.

Their policy of not price matching the subs is rubbish. They are pretty much the only supermarket now that don't.

Online delivery for today. Booked slot as they were released. Emailed receipt around midnight.
Only one substitution and all veg/meat dated 25th of beyond.

Mine arrived today. Got my receipt overnight. Subs are like for like with the exception that I ordered four oranges and was subbed with four bags of oranges. I now have 20 oranges instead of four! Nothing missing though.

Placed my order back when slots were released, for this evening to give me time to go to the shops if missing anything essential. 5 subs (had to return 4 ) and 5 missing items. Some annoying gaps but no showstoppers. Only just over an hour's notification of the subs/missing items though, which was later than usual.

I’ve had mine and they were totally out of ice plus I had 4 subs of mixed quality - one was a butter that was £4ish instead of the £1.60 Ocado own brand butter… 🤔 I forgot to hand that and the vile Percy pig chocolate coins I was given instead of milk chocolate coins back so stuck with them!

Had mine yesterday. No carrots - apparently no-one in the area is getting any carrots! Go figure. Also none of the gluten free muffins I like. Otherwise got everything.

Mine came at 8pm today. Receipt available around 3pm. 2 good subs, 1 poor sub.

3 missing items: mixed pack of christmas cheese and box of assorted jacobs crackers. So that’s the cheesboard completely wiped out. The third missing item was totally weird. I do the ‘you give we give’ donation with my shopping each week and that was the third missing item. Out of stock and no substitute available apparently. How can me giving them money be out of stock? So strange.

But apart from that, a good shop.
