I hope the title makes sense.
Anyway, I came across these advent calendars that seem to fit the bill and thought I'd share in case anyone else is looking.

just hopping on this thread to bookmark ideas for next year! For the last few years my DC have shared an Angela Harding one (and a Lindor one Grin) - once we'd found the ones where the scene "grows" daily they were hooked. We have the owl one this year.

I bought 2 advent calendars this year - the Coppenrath "Christmas at the Townhouse" and Window Cards New York. Gave DD her choice and she picked the New York one and I have the townhouse. Here they are without doors opened

Lovely start to advent , I’m keeping my doors attached though as I’m hoping to use it again another year , it’s far too pretty to get rid of.

This thread from humble beginings & @CorylusAgain s low expectations ("in case anyone else is looking") has morphed into something really, really beautiful. It's very spirit of Christmas.

I succumbed to lure of "gifts" and bought the Martha Brooks stationery one I linked above. Todays item was a really quite lovely blue and white checked pen with a sort of heavy luxury enamel feel to it. I am rotting in my pit of consumerism and just gazing up in wonder at the stars of the perfect advent calendar.

I particularly loved @CorylusAgain s Day 1 and @MissyB1 s day one!

I've also downloaded the Jacqui Lawson Edwardian advent calendar on my iPad and it is beautiful! Such lovely Christmassy music and other things to do in addition to each day's a picture/cartoon. So far I have decorated a Christmas tree, read about Wdwardian Christmas customs, spotted some hidden animals in the woods and arranged the drawing room. Feeling very Christmassy now!
