I think J7T7 should give 10% off a spend over £30 but only full price items.

Flubadubba · 18/12/2022 16:25

@BloodyMabel one dispatched (300 miles away) and then told they had given me the wrong tracking number (arrived this morning) and one cancelled (voucher issued).

Pawport · 18/12/2022 16:45

The chocolate society hot chocolate shaker - I dithered when it was talked about before and now I could really do with a bargain one for someone 🤦🏼‍♀️. Can anyone remember what the offer/bargain was please and if it’s still going? Thanks!

Pawport · 18/12/2022 16:51

Actually, I’ve got it (sorry should’ve just checked Google first). If anyone else is interested, WELCOME25 gives you 25% off (hot chocolate society).
For anyone else who uses this, any tips on what to put in it/how to use. I remember seeing tips and tricks mentioned on other threads but skipped past them as didn’t know I would be getting one 🤦🏼‍♀️

I placed a last min order with Snapfish on Thursday and paid for 24 delivery.

they sent it Royal Mail and it’s not even reached my local sorting office yet.

needed for Tuesday 🙄

GreenTea70 · 18/12/2022 17:16

Would anyone have a code for Cotswold Outdoor and Geox? Many thanks

buckeejit · 18/12/2022 17:24

Just to say I went to pound world the other day & they had some fun little sticking filler toys - slime & magnet rings that look fun to play with.

The neom sale is pretty good. I'm loving the mini pod & oils from them recently so will keep an eye & hope their oil blends come down a bit more

christmaspudding43 · 18/12/2022 17:43

Could someone remind me of the celtic & co £20 off code please?

What are people doing about the missing Honestly Eco parcels? I emailed, got a reply straight away saying if it didn’t turn up by the next day to email back and request a replacement. It didn’t, I emailed and requested a replacement and haven’t heard anything since. Thankfully they were extra presents so I can cope without them but I’m wondering whether to start up a dispute through my bank?

I'm wondering the same. Just extras for me too, but super annoying. I'm thinking of contacting PayPal.

HereBeFuckery · 18/12/2022 17:55

@Reastie @WineandDine
I've just cancelled my PoundToy order - saw a review on TrustPilot when rage-Googling why they are so crap, that suggests they are in liquidation.
I ordered on 6th Nov, and nothing. Amazingly they replied to confirm cancellation of order straightaway. Angry

Reastie · 18/12/2022 18:00

Thank you @HereBeFuckery , I've emailed them to cancel the order as that sounds troubling. Just going to see how much I can reorder elsewhere.

I finally managed to get to proper shops yesterday and managed to get three lovely presents within five mins in Waterstones. Just shows the value of being in a proper shop as i would never have come across them otherwise.

anyway, just wanted to recommend one of them in case it helps anyone out - possibly @Stylemyhairplease

this isn’t for everyone but there’s a wonderful book called ‘a message from Ukraine’ published by Zelensky. It’s not overly heavy, looks like a fairly easy read and is certainly “of the time”.

it was only published last month and is described as “a battle cry for the world to speak out and fight for liberty”. (Lump in throat).

It cost £9.99 in Waterstones but is only about £6 on Amazon and all of the president’s proceeds from the book – at least 60p per copy of the print edition sold in the UK – will be donated to the United24 fund.

i know it’s maybe a bit of a strange present but I thought it would suit some older teens or adults and it’s for a good cause.

Barbequebeans64 · 18/12/2022 18:56

Ahh panic present needed. A friend text me asking to meet up to give gifts... We don't normally do this and I haven't bought her anything. Where can I buy from now that will get delivered in time? I don't have time to go to the shops 🙈

Is amazon my only choice? She's quite creative, crafty, has a dog, like her home comforts. If anyone has any ideas 💡

AlabamaWorley22 · 18/12/2022 18:57

@Barbequebeans64 chalk pens from Amazon to decorate her windows?

Barbequebeans64 · 18/12/2022 19:09

@AlabamaWorley22 not a bad shout. I'm guessing Amazon is the only place left to order from? It's the one I find hardest to buy gifts from

mummymilkfloat · 18/12/2022 19:18

@Dogmatix34 I also emailed Honestlyeco to chase my order, they said they’d resent and a parcel did turn up. But it felt like they just never had posted the first time!
the bath bombs etc look lovely.

AlabamaWorley22 · 18/12/2022 20:02

@Barbequebeans64 depends on your timing but yes I would probably only go with Amazon or a proper shop now tbh. Too risky otherwise.

bigarse1 · 18/12/2022 20:09

I ordered from poundtoy in October and have not received anything. I have emailed them to ask for a refund as they clearly aren't going to deliver.
I ordered from honestly eco around six months ago and they never delivered. Sent emails telling me it was despatched and then two weeks later emailed me telling me some of my items were out of stock and would I like to choose something else and then they could despatch. Ended up in a row with them after lie after lie. They promised refund after refund but never did so I went through the bank. They insisted to the bank they had supplied my order but I did get my money back through the bank in the end

Do you have ocado? Some nice bits in there and short notice slots

Cantthinkofabettername · 18/12/2022 20:36

Does anyone please have a recommendation for a wireless/Bluetooth speaker that doesn’t break the bank - thinking £20/30. I’ve had a look on Amazon (for delivery before Xmas) and there’s loads so I’m completely undecided so wondered if anyone could recommend anything. Thank you!

Chocolateteabag · 18/12/2022 20:43

@Wallaroo21 - for a new knitter I would get them on ravelryy* - which is the international "Mumsnet" for knitters and crocheters - depending on what language they speak, lots of ideas for patterns etc

Then a voucher for Woolwarehouse to get the wool/needles

You could also get a voucher for a local wool shop if you want IRL

Don't buy random wool though - it's too easy to get a huge stash of wool with no clear plan of what you want to knit which I know from bitter experience -

My teen has this and is very happy with it. Cost less than £30

I think I'm going to nip into Paperchase tomorrow to see if I can get SIL some really nice stationery. Are there any other shops (other than WH Smith) that might have some nice stuff? Probably preferably real life shops now unless amazon!
