Hello,
It's getting to that bit of Christmas where I'm starting to panic about things not arriving in time
Currently I'm awaiting a necklace, that has suddenly jumped to expected deliver on the 23rd. Its the main part of my mum's gifts

Lots of other bits struggling to find their way through the post including a key ring that should have arrived at the weekend.

What is everyone else waiting for?

A birthday present for a friend (ordered 26th November) and a new winter coat for DS.

Going to ditch RM after this and try to just use Amazon. Easier.

I’m waiting for a ‘fake’ Lego set for my son that was shipped on the 30th Nov.
the company i bought it off have fobbed me off with strikes and ‘be patient’ 🙄

2nd year in a row I’m waiting on expensive personalised crackers from Etsy. Last year they turned up in January so I ordered early this year. They were dispatched by RM 3 weeks ago and still no sign of them.

A hand-made gift that an elderly family member spent a lot of time making for us has been AWOL for two weeks .

A Christmas card I ordered (a special one-which is why I ordered it in the first place) from Etsy over 8 weeks ago
i keep getting told about the strikes but they’ve not updated the tracking-I honestly think they’ve not bothered to post it in the first place
ive complained to Etsy and will get my money back but I really needed it

the rest I ordered over the year to spread the cost

I'm still waiting for a parcel that was sent tracked 48 on the 27th Nov 😔 I want to support small businesses but RM are making it hard this year.

Not sure what strikers are achieving as all the business refunding customers will claim the costs back from RM, and as such millions less to go around for their pay rises and all those business use Evri now? I’m waiting on a few bits but anything else I’m now getting on Amazon

I don’t know you know. My seller… not from Etsy… has also said that RM haven’t updated the tracking on mine. I was sceptical at first, but I’d I’d the same for you?!

DD wanted a Weasley jumper with her initial in it. the online Harry Potter shop don't seem to be currently selling them, so I ordered one from an etsy seller in October. tracking shows it's stuck in Ukraine and hasn't moved since Nov 27 😬

8 weeks is a joke to wait for it-everything else as arrived-3/4 parcels where a few days late but this sodding card just hasn’t arrived!

ive had 3 parcels just completely disappear! chasing refunds for them so i can buy alternatives instead! not just rm with mine though, one was rm, one was evri and i dont know about the other as ive never got any tracking for it at all so no idea who it was coming with

Not a Christmas present but still waiting for the eye drops I ordered for my dog 3 weeks ago.

A limited edition print for my mum of somewhere which is very special to her and my dad, he died at the end of October so it’s her first Christmas without him in 60 years. Print is now sold out and my tracking hasn’t been updated for 15 days.

Very frivolously a set of gel nail polishes for me.

I am beyond pissed off with Royal Mail.

Oh no I don't know if I feel reassured or horrified by the fact it's sadly common!

It's just hard to know if I should order an outright replacement or wait for it to arrive!

Ordered 2 toys last Friday, dispatched on Monday but haven’t moved since. And Royal Mail are on strike again tomorrow.
I know there’s probably a backlog but I was expecting some update since Monday.
Hopefully there will be some signs of movement in the next week or I’ll be chasing a refund.

Thats me done with online shopping for this Christmas though. No more after this.

I’ve paid bloody delivery for a PlayStation from Game. 2 weeks of unexpected delays

Why are these businesses using Royal Mail when they are rubbish generally let alone now with the strikes. I’ve sheen using one of the delivery companies for ages now. The cost about the same, are easy to use and you can drop your parcels at local shops so no big post office queues. We’ve had to cancel an personalised gift via Etsy recently too because it didn’t arrive and we were told that it would arrive about a week after the birthday that it was for. I won’t use a company that posts via the post office in future.

The aggro I've had this year with deliveries and returns has pretty much put me off any kind of remote shopping.

I've got new PJ's and coverless duvet from Matalan and family Christmas PJ's from peacocks stuck somewhere with Evri. I need the family PJ's to come tomorrow as they are for the polar express train we're doing on Saturday.

I've also got something stuck with RM but can't even remember what it is. Lost interest waiting and have given up hope of receiving it.

I send with Royal Mail for my small business and I must have had 30 messages this week, all exactly the same from people looking for their order. I’ve tried helping as much as I can but when all the info I have is ‘this delivery has not yet been attempted’ there isn’t a lot I can do. I’m a one man band so I really need an admin assistant just to deal with those messages and social media but instead I can’t work while replying to people and trying to track orders so it’s been a lose lose situation.

I’ve had angry people demanding money back from me saying they have no use for the product (understandably) as it’s arrived late, so I have lost (personalised) stock that has taken hours for me to make, have stayed up late to get it made in a quick turnaround time, posted first class and have then also had to refund the person the cost and the postage so it’s actually cost me money rather than made me any 😩 Royal Mail aren’t going to pay out for claims unless the parcel is over 10 working days late and they add on a day for each strike (so that’s a lot)! Enough was enough today so I’ve moved to another courier, they can’t be any worse at this point!

Really feel for sellers. I've messaged mine via etsy and know its unlikely to be their fault.

Am due one package from my Auntie, missing.

There's another I sent to my SIL, also missing.

One that arrived yesterday, which I'd ordered for my OH for our anniversary, was 10 days late and battered to pieces (the ceramic gift inside is also chipped).

On the plus side, I'm getting my annual Christmas cards for a Mrs Dore. She apparently lives across Bristol at an address which is somewhat similar to mine.

Roll on Amazon's inevitable take-over of everything. I'm hoping they get into government next - evil or not, I'd vote them in.
