Is your tree up?

OP posts:
DramaAlpaca · 24/11/2022 23:22

No! It's still November!

I suppose we do put up ours on the late side, it'll go up around a week before Christmas.

frozendaisy · 24/11/2022 23:29

No it needs chopping down from field first

Summertimesunshineandfizz · 24/11/2022 23:33

In November?? It would be dead before Christmas….

seashaken · 24/11/2022 23:35

Good god no. It's November

UWhatNow · 24/11/2022 23:35

No because it’s not Advent yet.

Cleanthatup · 24/11/2022 23:37

No but in a development of 20 homes, there are 6 up so far. Ours will go up 2nd week of December, time enough this year.

ITSSSSCHRISTMASSS · 24/11/2022 23:42

No, but I loved driving past several trees on the way home tonight. The town is lit up for the official lights switch on and Christmas festival this weekend. It was such a lovely feel, most of the locals make a lovely effort. Mine will be next weekend after we’ve finished some work on the hose, but it’s done over several days.

TangledWebofMincemeatDeception · 24/11/2022 23:46

No. We’ll get ours in the 2nd week of Dec.

There is 1 tree up on our little street.

Bluebellbike · 24/11/2022 23:46

Yes it's up.
Up in the loft. It will stay there until around 17th December. A week before Christmas is soon enough.

asblindasabat · 24/11/2022 23:46

No. Might leave it until Boxing Day.

Shouldershoddy · 24/11/2022 23:49

Absolutely not. We generally go for the 17/18th December. Cannot bare all the needles over the presents 🎁

Baconand · 24/11/2022 23:49

No. We always get a real tree no sooner than 3 weeks before Christmas. The 8th is optimum date for us but not always practical.
Absolutely never in November!

This!!!

dutysuite · 24/11/2022 23:56

No, and I refuse to feel the pressure to put one up yet. I like it going up mid Dec and I like to keep it up for NYE.

millerpie · 25/11/2022 02:14

No definitely not yet.

PinkButtercups · 25/11/2022 02:15

Yes.

RobinRobinMouse · 25/11/2022 03:07

Ours will be on this weekend, normally it would be the weekend after but this year we are busy then. Advent starts on Sunday so it does make sense to me anyway.

OutofControl3 · 25/11/2022 03:19

Next Friday night I will start on my home decorations!

MickeyMouseShithouse · 25/11/2022 03:27

Yes, I’ve started putting it up earlier over the last couple of years because I used to leave it up until January, but toddler DD’s birthday is NYE and that’s a shite day to have a birthday as a kid, close to Christmas, on a day when everyone wants to go our drinking so a kids party isnt well planned.. so I take the tree down so her birthday can feel less connected to Christmas time. My mums birthday is the day before and she also hates it.

So our tree goes up early so it can feel Christmassy in our house for a decent amount of time 😂

OldMotherHubbardsDog · 25/11/2022 03:49

No, not yet.

Ours goes up at Advent or first week in December.

Isthatmcormac · 25/11/2022 03:56

Yes. Put it up yesterday 😅 it’s the first year our DS understands a bit about Christmas and he is SO excited to have a Christmas tree and see Santa etc.
Much earlier than I’d usually do it but DH works away from home and leaves on Saturday then won’t be home until 23rd Dec so it was nice for him to have the excitement of putting up the tree with DS since he’ll miss all our other pre-Christmas activities 😊🎄

JesusMaryAndJosephAndTheWeeDon · 25/11/2022 03:58

Yes it is up but it is undecorated and in the garden being a normal tree and will remain so until mid December.
