Oh I didn’t realise that! That gives me more options but I would prefer to avoid Amazon for ethical reasons..

Restlessinthenorth · 03/09/2022 15:54

Just ordered some fab little cosmetic/beauty stocking fillers for my teens from the sale at this company

@psuedocream3 I also got the wrong harumika sets from Bargainmax - 2 of the Asian Dream ones instead of the 2 different ones that I ordered. Quickly rectified with an email and the correct set is on its way now.

I’ve got an extra set of the Asian Dream one now with no one to gift it to - happy to send it to someone who wants it for the cost of postage?

IfyoushouldmeetaCrocodile · 03/09/2022 16:55

Wow thanks everyone, I wasn't expecting such a lot of responses!! School have a blanket no chocolate policy which is a pain because aldi sell packs of Christmas chocolate lollys which would be perfect!
I suggested seeds last year but it was voted against due to all parents not having access to soil etc (& eyfs potentially eating them!!). We individually wrap each one too so bookmarks may an issue as they get torn. I guess I'm looking for something they might actually use rather than something like from a cracker which is a moments joy then into landfill. I may be being a bit optimistic though with the tiny budget. I'll definitely have a look at Baker Ross and if anyone comes across anything else please let me know. Thanks again fellow Christmas loons 😍

psuedocream3 · 03/09/2022 17:11

@HedgerowRobin glad they sorted it for you. They sent me the candy one but I ordered the Asian one. I haven't contacted them yet though.

deeplybaffled · 03/09/2022 17:17

@HedgerowRobin if no one else has taken it, I’d happily send you the postage for it!

mummyof2boys30 · 03/09/2022 17:22

Sorry not a Christmas gift as such but a gift for a just turned 13 yr old girl who was in a bad accident and is now recovering at home after being in ICU. Has broken arm so colouring out. Or shud i stick a wee message and amazon voucher in card

Haudyourwheesht · 03/09/2022 17:28

@mummyof2boys30 Squishmallow? If she's spending a lot of time chilling in the house it could be comforting?

Coldilox · 03/09/2022 17:29

If anybody wants a genuine Oodie, they are bogof at the moment

Beautifulsunflowers · 03/09/2022 17:38

if Anyone has a present to buy for a budding gardener then things like seeds, gardening gloves and mini greenhouses are on offer in various places as the shops are getting rid of summer stock and making way for Christmas items!! I got a mini greenhouse from Amazon for half price £11 instead of £22!, it’s a Wilkos one and in the wilkos shop it’s showing as £16 so pays to shop around.

turtle doves order arrived - and rather than any lovely colours I got grey and black. Bah.
they're slim fitting, but no holes/faults so will be fine to gift
had just been hoping for a nice colour for me!

I've ordered some. If they're colourful, would you be up for a swap? I'd rather have grey or black.

HedgerowRobin · 03/09/2022 18:02

@deeplybaffled of course! If you’re happy to then send me your details via PM and I’ll post it later this week

eastmidswarwicknightnanny · 03/09/2022 18:03

@IfyoushouldmeetaCrocodile give it another week or so all the supermarkets reduce the back to school stationery tesco is always good and that may solve the budget issue.

Couple colleagues started a uni course end Sept couple yrs back and I did them a survival kit and got some really good stationary bargains

TheBigFish · 03/09/2022 18:21

Cheese footballs. So wrong but so good. 🤤 Time to get the Christmas food cupboard started too!

My partner loves these- can't stand them personally!

4inthishouse · 03/09/2022 18:22

I posted on the TD swap thread but I’ll post it on here too the eBay shop wouldn’t post to me as I’m in ROI so if anyone has some that they can’t swap I’ll gladly buy looking for my mam who has arthritis and dd who always has cold hands

WhyDoesItAlways · 03/09/2022 18:31

The colour in cardboard playhouses are £10 down from £18 in Hobbycraft at the moment. Think they had a castle, train, camper van, ice cream shop etc. The elves usually bring one if we have a quiet weekend in December as keeps the DC occupied.

Last year I got done great codes for poundtoy on here and got my class mini scratch art pictures, a wee sticky yellow man thing and a wee pack of magic putty which can to about 70p each. Then I got them each a pair of Christmas socks from B&M which were cheap too as in a multi pack.

WaitingForEgg · 03/09/2022 19:21

I just got some pretty good bits in Smiggle. Packs of scented gel pens usually £7 per pack are 2 packs for £5. I also got a great journal making kit for £14 for my goddaughter and some other bits and pieces

Notlongnow1 · 03/09/2022 19:25

@reastie were going to need you soon! I get panicky if I think I'm going to lose you all 😂

TheEggChair · 03/09/2022 19:45

newroundhere · 02/09/2022 19:37

Has anyone seen any nice picnic blankets in the sale anywhere? I was hoping to pick one up for a present but haven't spotted any good bargains.

@newroundhere Robert Dyas has [[https://www.robertdyas.co.uk/fern-picnic-matt Picnic mat][ from their fern range reduced to £6.99. There's matching tableware to go with it as well, I bought the dinner & side plates.

FilthyforFirth · 03/09/2022 19:47

I have asked this before, but cannot remember the answer, sorry! What is the website that do personalised footballs?! Am after a Southampton one if possible!

newroundhere · 03/09/2022 19:48

Thanks @TheEggChair i will take a look!

Trumpton · 03/09/2022 20:01
